I just successfully changed out the six heater console lights on my 2006 Honda Element! Thank you for your video. I have a question for you if you would not mind. So far I have purchased two sets of LEDs and Twist Lock Wedge light sockets to replace the burnt out lights behind my instrument console, and neither set has fit: T10 was too large and T5 was too small. Do you know off-hand what Twist Lock socket can be used? I am having trouble finding info on this. I saw your other video on changing those lights with Toshiba V-2 bulbs. My confusion comes from the fact that both of the sockets I purchased: T5 and T10 also had V-2 stamped on them, even though they are considerably different in size.
Hello Kurt, did you figure it out? I found a video on UA-cam from a guy that change the whole dash onto leds Partsam T5 74 LED Light Bulb Instrument Panel Gauge Cluster Dashboard LED Light Bulbs Set 20 T5 LED Bulbs with 20 Twist Lock Socket www.amazon.com/dp/B00KS599C2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Ur1KDb6G2WR3G Now, can you help me out, I’d like to know if the six bulbs are the same on the HVAC? I google the part number but I’m not sure if 6 are needed for the entire hvac, mines are all burnt out
In case anyone is reading this thread still you can buy the required leds to replace the bulbs in the instrument panel, but the bases that come with most don’t fit the dash. You can pull the glass bulbs out of the original bases. I just takes a bit of wriggling. Then replace those bulbs with your LED’s.
The light that’s in the AC button I think is just for the on/off indicator lamp. I don’t know if the button lights up like the temp dial. I don’t think it’s supposed to. I traded my element in 2017, still miss it!
you never plugged the hazard switch back in and instead of using that pry tool you can just put your fingers in the shift boot and pull up. a lot easier and you don't run the risk of scratching anything.
Great tip! I think I tried hauling on the gear shift surround but was afraid things were going to break, it was pretty tight - and a cold day, too. I can't remember if I ever used the hazard lights after this job. I think there are just two connectors back there, I plugged both in. Can't remember at all. I'm driving a 2017 Tacoma 6MT now and miss the Element a lot.
Thanks! I had it plugged in for sure, then. :) I don't think I'd buy this Tacoma again. It's a 17 TRD Sport double cab short box. I put a Leer cap on it trying to get as close to the Element as I could. I've been working on the ## things I hate about the Tacoma. Spoiler alert: it's the powertrain starting with the 3.5L engine. Sub if you're interested in that video, it's been two years in the making hahaha
@@spinphoto well that guy Scotty the mechanic says those are great too. I have a 2002 Frontier. I like it a lot, but the Element sees most of the day-to-day action.
After driving a 2017 Tacoma MT, I've changed my mind on the manual transmission. Modern Manual transmissions seem to suck... rev hang, mostly, but many other reasons haha
Thank you... appreciate the simplicity and the shortness of your videos. I wish 500k upon your vehicle. Mine is 04 with 220k

Do you have any details on LED specs?
Where do you get the bulbs?
Where u find the light
Any idea what the part number is for the retainer clips that hold the dash cover onto the dash?
Hey, thanks for posting! Is the "AC" supposed to be illuminated too?

@@spinphoto your turn signals are dependent on the hazard being plugged in. Nice I love those tacomas. You got good taste in cars!

I'm looking for the exact same bulb for an 08 Element ex. Does anyone have a part #. Amazon is not confirming that this part number works for an 08.
Any luck? Is it the same bulb?
If anybody can help… I can’t find the bulb part # either… heeeelp
thanks for including the part #. it worked. good video.
Thanks !👍💪
Success!
Thanks needed to know how.... Only needed to be 2 min 😉
It doesn't come oooot.
Use LED from Amazon solder .
8.00 for a proprietary light bulb, they could have used generic ones. Glad I switched over to Toyota products, my last Honda will be gone soon.
I changed over to a 2017 Tacoma. I'm not sure it's better.
Toyota make an Element?
sendtorich no. Nothing like it out there now. I’m driving a Toyota Tacoma now
