    Thanks for the video. When I did this, I had some that weren't lighting up. I had to disassemble again. The key is to make sure to note the orientation of the word "Toshiba". They should all be going the same way. The LED can go into the base whichever way, it is just the base that only works one way. It fits both ways which can trick you. This will make it quicker and ensure that all light up the first time. If not, you can just try flip flopping them while the cluster is hanging by the cables.

      I just did this tonight and noticed the base markings were all lined up the same. So I think you are right about this. I did have two leds that I had to pull and flip, but they may just not have been seated properly. And for everyone out there doing this, you really have to push down on the leds to get them into the Honda OEM bases.

    I did a similar mod to my HVAC lights I just purchased individually these and drilled out the long tube and put the lights at the top and it works fantastic and I did Green LEDs behind my gauge cluster looks awesome

    Also tried getting factory cluster bulbs and those seem to work but LEDs no matter what color or LEDs the same 3 areas light up. The speedometer and 80mph section. Top bad I can't send you a picture.

      Try to reverse the orientation of the bulbs that aren't on, so from upright to downwards or downwards to upright. The polarity of the lights is most likely not matched up with cluster.

    Nice how-to video, man - cool how these Elements are so easy to work on. If I followed you correctly you should have used the #74 LEDs for the HVAC panel lights....and NOT the #84 LEDs which were too large

    Are the original bulbs 921s in the element? How are these LEDs holding for you now that you've installed them?

    • @ElementofAdventure
      @ElementofAdventure  3 роки тому +1

      I don’t know what the originals are, sorry. The led bulbs I put in are starting to fail. A couple of them are going in and out. It could be a connection issue, but I will diagnose it soon.

    Bought the same lights for my 2004 Element, change all the light bulbs and none of them work... I tested the lights outside and the lights work, but when plugged In the cluster the wont go on 😭 checked the fused box all is in good condition, the factory light were lighting up... any idea on what could be ?

    • @ElementofAdventure
      @ElementofAdventure  4 роки тому +1

      Try pulling the bulbs out and reversing the direction you have them in. When I did it, only half of them worked because the other half were in the wrong way.

      613lcd did you use led lights? Try pulling them out and rotating them 180 degrees and reinstall them. The (+) and (-) must be right for led lights to work.
