    Here’s what I learned making this top in case it’s helpful to anyone else:
    - the linen stitch is less stretchy than a chain. You want your foundation chain to be at least 1-2” longer than the circumference of your waist. Stitch a few rows and try it again before you keep going.
    - the first few rows of the front panel will accommodate the gap between the waistband and your underbust. The increases after that are to accommodate your bust - larger bust = more frequent increases.
    - when yaeji says to do 2 increases per row, meaning 4 extra stitches per row, I thought she misspoke because I’m so used to single and double crochet. With the linen stitch, 1 increase involves an extra SC and chain stitch so the stitch count increases by 2. Do 1 increase on each side like she says.
    - don’t panic too much if the front panel feels gappy when you try it on. Hold it in place where the straps will be attached to get a better idea. Once you’ve done the straps, if the top is gaping between your bust and shoulder, shorten the straps to increase the tension on the side.
    - 100 chains feels like a lot for the chain ties at the end until you actually tie it. I would do at least 120.
    Good luck!

    I would be really thankful if you could also add the measurements in terms of inches or something... that sort of helps with different yarns to

    I tried making this and the top ended up way too tight once I started the linen stitch (I even made the chain wider than my waist at 130 loops). Any advice? Or am I just crocheting too tight? 😭

      Maybe it's the type of yarn you're using? Some yarns tend to be less stretchier, so something like 100% cotton is usually stiff and hard to stretch

    i know you did 20 slip stitches for starting the front panel of the top but for those of us who did a different size (different stitch numbers) could you recommend like where we should start based on body part? for example if try on the waist band like should it start on our sides, or near our front, or near the back?

    • @DZZLL
      @DZZLL Рік тому +1

      I've done the same 😮‍💨 I didn't attach my buttons, I was going to crochet some to attach at the end but now I'm wondering if I can attach a decorative panel of another stitch to save it, or is that going to look weird... I'll let you know how I get on! Already frogged this multiple times due to hidden knots in my yarn !

    • @imani5401
      @imani5401 Рік тому +5

      maybe you could make it lace up in the back with yarn or ribbon instead of button so it could be adjusted

    • @DZZLL
      @DZZLL Рік тому +2

      @@imani5401 that's probably an even smarter idea! I don't know why I didn't think of that :D
      I tried first attaching a chain of 9 to the bottom and adding another section of linen stitch that way but it was too gappy so I frogged back. Next I tried adding a row of SC to the button side, then changing into linen st going in the opposite direction which looked really cool, but I couldn't get the number of stitches per row of linen stitch perfect so it either got wider or narrower after the first 2 rows. I've just frogged to try AGAIN but if this doesn;t work ima just attach more loops so that it can lace up :)

Aí queria saber qual marca de linha br tem mais elasticidade igual a dela para eu fazer outra igual
