I tried to learn this stuff a decade ago, it was part of my higher education course. Growing up in poverty, I had only just purchased my first laptop which was basically a fancy way to browse google, as I had absolutely no computer experience and had only just gotten the internet. My teachers and classmates were so condescending and did not even try to help me get to a point where I could learn anything. So I dropped out and haven't touched PS since, and have always felt a tug of shame about the whole thing. This video has been incredibly helpful and you are just so friendly! It honestly means the world, I can finally feel confident enough to begin my design journey. Thankyou so much!

Best damn Photoshop course on the internet that includes the courses on Udemy. I paid $15 dollars for an Adobe course on Udemy just for the instructor to talk over my head. Got frustrated and went searching for a course for beginners and I found it. Thank you for your video.

Same, I'm just bored with what I'm currently doing, so on my road towards becoming a doctor, I figured that I teach myself something. I watched the InDesign course done by this gent and he made it so fun to watch. I complete NOTHING (usually, because nothing catches my interest besides medicine long enough), but the InDesign course was actually something that I completed. On to Photoshop (this vid) next. Hopefully this will be just as good as his InDesign course.

Hi Dan! Thanks for a great course. Tip: around 1:04 you were wondering how to get the text to the other side of the circle. You can just duplicate the layer and choose ''Flip vertical'' in the transform path.

Yes, the positive reviews are absolutely true! This was an incredibly helpful tutorial without any annoyances, distractions, over-talking, nonsense... Dan is a fabulous trainer! This was a multi-day training course for me as I took notes on every single topic since I'm a true newbie. I'm feel so much more comfortable using PS thanks to this course. It's a must for any beginner!!
Once again, another great video Dan. Loads of basic sections covered off. Very well explained with good examples. Lots that I won't need, but at least I know they are there. Great foundation course. I watched the 3 hour video over a couple of days, especially when you need to play it back, to re-watch something. The video is now 2 years old, so some of the settings in the video, aren't quite the same as my 2022 Adobe Suite - but a quick Google or the Adobe Help sorted those situations. Now I think it's Adobe Spark
Practice makes perfect.
Keep in mind that he lost out on tens of thousands of dollars to keep this video ad free… that 100% deserves a subscription… I’ve been using photoshop on a pretty advanced level and after watching this I learned a few things even I didn’t know… so trust me when I say that it’s a phenomenal tutorial and guide.

There are so many tutorials out there. For mr, it was your beginner illustrator video that saved me from giving up learning illustrator 3 years ago. Now, I find myself in a project using photos but I’m limited in Illustrator. So it is time to learn Photoshop. I am determined to learn but it is slow and I’m always feeling like a beginner. After 1 day with this beginner photoshop, my comfort has improved so much that I do not feel overwhelmed. Sometimes it’s the silliest little thing, like cropping out to gain space. Or even sillier feeling like using the ‘deselect’ button! I have a way to go to get the product I want, but I won’t be pulling out my hair trying. Thank you so much!
ive used photoshop for 7 years and have 100s of hours in it on 3 different versions and got an A* in a media course and run an instagram page with photoshop art etc. and still learned fundamental stuff i never knew lol

i have used photoshop for 27 years and have 99+ olympic gold medals and am currently working as Senior Poster Designer for Tesla but after watching this video i still learned new shortcuts.

Thanks Dan for making and sharing this amazingly informative video!! Just a quick note related to Transform..When transforming a layer, it's no more needed to hold down the Shift key while dragging a corner handle to resize a selected layer to constrain its proportions. Anytime you drag a corner handle during transform and move it, the layer resizes proportionally. Holding down the Shift key now resizes non-proportionally when you drag a corner handle during transform.
For those having a problem with cropping and auto-fill try using the Marquee tool (second tool on the menu) then hold and drag over the area that needs to auto-fill (then hold shift to add another area to be auto-filled after selecting the first one) then press backspace and let it do its thing.

I think I may have found my new Adobe teacher. Love the teaching style, the personality and the lessons themselves. What a superb course, as a newbie, this was right up my street. I had a few problems with the "content aware scale", but worked it out, so I'm very happy with myself. I have learned loads, the next stop is your Lightroom course. Again, thank you for a brilliant tutorial.

So in response to your question at 1:02:30 regarding centering the text along the path, you can open up the Character panel and use the Baseline Shift option in order to alter where the text falls along the path. Hope this was helpful.

back in and recently got soft soft again, it felt strange and i had previously just taught myself the software. Finding your videos is helping
For anyone using photoshop 2021 when scaling an image you no longer need to hold shift, the image scales equally by default. It's actually the opposite now, if your holding shift the image will warp to whatever size you want (new to photoshop so I apologize if Im using incorrect terminology). Dan is the best photoshop instructor hands down. I truly recommend his advance photoshop course. I literally started from scratch when I learned photoshop. His courses are the best!
I always wonder what's the reasoning behind disliking a content like this. If you don't like it, then just don't watch it. It's not a stupid song that you can't hide away from, because it's everywhere - on TV, on youtube, on social media feeds. It's an educational course, you're free not to watch it.
