Slight correction for the expected base power of population bomb, it is actually 180.88 expected base power. I did not account for the move having 99% accuracy on each hit in my calculation, my apologies. Thanks @anthonygutsev5301 and @lofibrazil1787 for pointing this out

Also, iirc it hits neutrally the first time, but when theyre grounded, they can be hit super efective, for example, a thundurus when hit the first time by thousand arrows will be neutral, but the second time it will be super effective
Great list! I think the fact that most of these are from the recent games and the oldest signature move is from XY, says a lot about the power creep in pokemon tbh. I know that a lot of older moves that used to be exclusive got more widespread over time, but GameFreak definitely seems more willing to make gimmick mons with broken moves nowadays.
Ivy Cudgel & Flower Trick are both so good. Behemoth Blade was ridiculously good in Sw&Sh, but will be just as oppressively OP in S&V. Also Most Ball/Luster Purge, V-Create & Dragon Ascent.

What do you think about Sacred Fire and why isn't it on the list? I would replace Hyper Drill with it since the 5% miss is negligible and a 50% burn chance is huge. It's basically way crazier than Scald and Volcanion's signature move for that high of a chance alone. Burn is also a pretty strong status since it shuts down most physical threats that aren't part fire or currently aren't due to Tera, so I think that justifies it on the list.
I was gonna mention fishous rend, but when I rlly think about it that move is only as busted as it is because of the mon who gets it, which happens to be dracovish who has useable speed and most importantly strong jaw, if it was given to a non strong jaw mon it likely wouldn’t be that OP

Still wrong, because maushold always has technician which means the basepower becomes around 280. A MASSIVE difference

I think it's actually 189.22. Doing (.99^10) * 200 doesn't work, since if you miss that last hit, you still did 90% of the damage.
It’s worth adding that Urshifu’s ability unseen fist makes Surging Strikes even better by bypassing protect
Until people started running Punching Glove to make sure it doesn't get worn down by Iron Barbs or Rocky Helmet 😂

Hoopa and Marshadow included 😎
Fishious Rend, Stone Axe, Dire Claw, Revival Blessing.
Fishious rend and revival blessing aren't signature moves since more than one pokémon can learn it, but stone axe and dire claw will be in part 2!
So many of these moves were introduced in only the last 3 gens
Lets see a 2nd video about signature moves.
I mean the actual biggest drawbacks of Gigaton Hammer are that it can only be learned by Pokémon with base 75 (Tinkaton) or base 20 (Smeargle) Attack.
Forgetting Ceaseless is crazy
true, swap Triple Arrows with Ceaseless Edge and its a pretty good top 10 list

Glacial lance and astral barrage will be in part 2!
Pecharunt malignat chain
Extreme eevoboost, though it's a signature z-move, but it's so absurd it got EEVEE banned from ubers
True
They need to go ahead & give "thousand arrowz" to Decidueye
Maybe but the animation of it shows Zygarde shooting a bunch of green cells at the target.
Now in Pokemon games there's no such thing as "move animations". So just give signature moves to weaker Pokemon to make them at least viable.
