Half-Life 2 uses a ton of stock sound effects. The one I always notice is the "dropping a bag full of chains" sound the Combine make. Honestly I'm surprised there isn't a Wilhelm Scream in HL2.

Something about your voice and personality along with this little game had me engaged the whole way through. I usually have the attention span of a goldfish, but with this I didn’t look at the progress bar once. It was just a continuous experience. Nice video.
Fun fact: Goldfish have pretty average memory, and have a higher attention span than the average human. The idioms are actually entirely based on the fact that they look like they have no thoughts and empty heads

I simply cannot express into words how much I love Jolly's interaction with these games... ... or pretty much any game. Such a comforting attitude after a long ass day at work.
I like how this is a really brilliant analysis of the toll players put on a developer's mental health, and him coming to accept that it doesn't have to be big and long and complex to be good, but Jolly is just like "Haha button go clicky"

The fast zombies jumping scream is a sped up Howie scream, another famous scream sound effect.
Valve uses a sound library like many games to get it's sound effects.

Stanley parable's budget sure took a hit
I can't believe I watched the entire 34 minutes of this. Then again, I also watched that one about a waking up at 4am in an endless dream loop.
