Welcome to The Corridor, the game where you see how many different ways you can hallucinate the same room and button before your brain finally crashes, and you realize you never left where you started, and press the button for the first time. Because that is what the game is, the game is only a corridor and a button, whatever else you see is all in your head.

You can hear Smii7y get closer and audibly excited when he sees the god damn RP segment
XD
I was watching Grizzy’s stream while SMii7Y was filming this and he got so mad seeing him keep joining The Corridor. He kept yelling, “WHAT IS THE CORRIDOR SMii7Y!” It was hilarious!
Is there a clip of that happening? I want to watch that occur! Grizzy yelling is both hilarious, but ear shattering...does it require a headphone warning? XD
@@13xPetra There might be a clip but I dont have it sorry.

If Smii7y had the opportunity between saving his family and friends or pressing the button, you already know he's pushing that button no hesitation.
Man it would have been already pressed before somebody said the trade
Yo, same. I would totally do the same. Every time I go to my clinic appointment, I would want to push the button at least once or twice. I've become more slowed down and stuff and so if I weren't slowed down, I would totally push the button every time :)

Why not both? Push the button to save his family.

Simplicity is key. I think I'll buy it just to support the dev. The note at the end is just amazingly sweet.
As an artist and writer, the message of the game really hit close to home for me. Many creatives like myself greatly desire to share our work and ideas with others, but are often under the crushing fear of people not liking it. The narrator of the game claiming he didn't want you to play anyway is the same sentiment many creatives have, stating "Well, it's fine, no one would understand it anyways, only I can." In reality, though, one of the things these people really want is acceptance. And when, eventually, they do start sharing it, the reception is often good anyways, or at least, not as negative as we make it out to be in our heads. I love the intermission of the Fox and the Grapes story because it exudes exactly that: giving up and claiming it's rotten and not for us before we even reach it. Thank you for sharing this game with your audience!
Can't wait until this game gets the Stanley Parable/This is Not a Game treatment in 5-10 years and becomes a fully fleshed out, 5-hour game that takes like 50 hours to get all the secrets.
XD You know it lol

This leads such an interesting introspective on the creative process and I love it. I know they're aiming specifically at game design but it really does bleed through to other creative outlets as well and it makes me really happy to see that others are thinking the same thing i am. thank you to the team who made this!

You got to admire the editors dedication to watching every second of the recordings to make sure smii7y is a man of his word to pressing every button for 5 minutes XD
They get paid to do it.
I can tell you're not an editor lol. There's literally nothing extra the editor has to do in this case. The entire job is to watch the whole thing and cut it down. You're describing the normal process that every standard playthrough editor goes through.

I'm pretty sure that if you turned off your computer while recording in any format, it would most likely corrupt.
@@m15tly No, it depends on the video format.
If you shutdown your PC while recording in mkv, it won't have some metadata, like duration and bitrate, but that can be fixed by re-encoding it with FFmpeg or another tool.

It looks like the novel House of Leaves, by Mark Danielewski, a sort of hallucinated journey in an "haunted house" where there are infinite rooms, corridors and stairs, and people are desperate to get out of it. And it's also printed in an hallucinated way, with pages written horizontally, other pages written vertically, different chapters mixed on the same page... It is something to read
Smii7y you aren't the only one who would press all those buttons, I would've done the same. And the fact that you do in fact press all the buttons in such a situation is the reason you're so great to watch for these kinds of puzzle games. I agree, Smeety is awesome. Although smitey minus is cool too for longer vids(where can I find the backrooms ones @Smii7y they’re my favorite), sometimes it’s fun to just not do that, and by that of course I mean watch matt scream, puffer laugh, and grizzy be himself and break stuff and rage on smippy plus! [ this took way too long to type and game me severe brain problems ]
This game definitely took inspiration from Stanley Parable with how wacky, funny, and interactive it was, how many times it switched “games,” and how the narrator kept saying things to you…in a funny accent
.

That's just a regular English accent tbh
How is a generic English accent a “funny accent” ?
Are you from like Alabama where any accent that’s not yours is funny?

Smii7y is the type of guy to look at a button, ask "is anyone gonna press that" and then press it himself
This makes so much sense from pezzy and Grizzy’s stream 😂 (context: pezzy kept getting steam notifs that Smii7y was playing the corridor and pezzy kept freaking out over it)

The developer and Smitty have the same humor that I didn’t know if half was edited or half the game
If you loved this game, I very highly recommend "There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension". They have very similar concepts, though the latter is much longer and has a lot of puzzle elements (I wouldn't blame you if you used the ingame hint system, btw).

This is by far the best video he’s made🤣 imo
That game dev has one hell of a sense of humor too!
6:55 his rage here is all the more reason I've subscribed
I love when Smii7y plays games that he genuinely wants to play.
If you want another good game that actively discourages you playing it, but has a bit more meat to it there is always "There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension."
This makes me remember a game from Roblox wich is about some levels and pushing buttons with blocks and at the end you break out of the map, then the voice that talks to you deletes the win when you get to it, then tells you there's nothing left to do, if you press "esc" to try and exit, the voice tells you not to, and that if you do then please remember him.
That made me want to cry and to stay in the game forever.
