As much as it breaks my heart and kills me that Page is still gone and I will always wish his permanent return, I'm equally grateful and love that Ed and the boys have never replaced Steven and Kevin and the other guys picked up Steven's vocals. This allows me to still feel and enjoy the songs they wrote with SP.
They picked up on page’s vocals??!! Ya “OK”. Take another listen…. The 2 basically stop trying to sing his parts…. So you don’t hear anything except the 80 yr old dude trying his hardest to, for some reason….. look like an old version of Page???…. And,……. He’s just Garbage. They need to stick their own songs that were created without Page….. The ones nobody knows….. “Caught up to his vocals”….. hahahaha
may i please, please, please PLEASE come & play with your pinball machines????Love them!!! I am sooooooooo jealous. My hubby and i went to the pinball museum in Seattle and played all the different pinballs for a few hours....so much fun!!!!
@Penguin Queen beyond that I'm not sure of PA or VA will be open for large gatherings/concerts, I'm pregnant and need to be extra careful about social isolation.
I love noticing all the background stuff in these videos. I love how Canadian celebrities can live in normal neighborhoods and no one bugs them. In the US (outside of LA), if you are even a tiny local celebrity, you can't even leave your house without getting bothered. Fun, too, how in Jim's square the neighbors caught them and the kids didn't really know how to handle it. I am sure at that age, their dad playing bass on the deck is super embarrassing! :) :) :)
Thank you so much for doing these recordings for us! BNL I have listened you since your first album and you are the most amazing entertainers. Cheers BNL!
I've been listening to this song for my whole life, my dad gave me his Gordon album CD when I was young and to this day it's still one of my favorites. This song always brings a smile. Thanks for making great music!
I love how at the end of this song, no matter what version, in the last chorus the music and singing always sounds super close to the album version. It’s awesome.
Agreed. She was the show-stealer of that video, so adorable. It seemed so perfectly choreographed like she had practiced roasting a marshmallow that would take the duration of the song...And yeah, yeah I miss SP's part of this song too, but really enjoyed Kevin's take!!
I’ll echo the sentiments of others on here - I was so excited when I saw this song come up today. A great feel good song that always puts a smile on my face every time I hear it. Yep, I sang along.....badly lol. Keep up the great work!
Words cannot express how much I enjoy watching these "Selfie Cam Jams!" Thank you guys so much for keeping us entertained through the madness and craziness; You're truly amazing!
@@happybob1441 No we don't. I swear Aussies are our biggest fans. Your countrymen have a talent for turning every topic to to us, no matter how irrelevant we are to the subject. Worse, you all think you're experts on everything to do with the US, but you don't know shit from Shine-ola. I vow, from this day forward, to say eeemoooo as a little eff you to our miserable fans in Oz.
I once wrote a short little poem about you guys -- "I'm not crazy / I'm not telling lies / The Barenaked Ladies are a bunch of guys / With guitars and hairy thighs / They'll rock the house / Then sing lullabies." You guys had the best showmanship of any concert that I have seen, and I remember the multiple encore performance you did in Cleveland!
The 2 years really flew by me I got curious listening to this song finally after remembering the song for so many years and took me long to realize it was by the barenaked ladies and then finally I listen to this and wow they were having fun during quarantine man those were the good ol days
ooooh yyyeeeessss im so happy you did this one omg this is my song .....i love all your songs but this one omg yes keep it up been loving these Jams so much
So sad tour is canceled. I try to go every time you're in town. I'll miss your show this summer, my husband was going to come with me for the first time.... only known him for 13 years....
Love this. Love BNL, like you love the beach or a good book. Honestly, I kinda missed seeing Steven singing "If I have $1,000,000 dollars". The questions always astonished me about this song is if first off that's in US dollars or Canadian dollars, $1,000,000 dollars that is, second if it were to be donated to a charity or other organizations or to the Church if some people are the religious type. Me, I was hoping for $2,000,000 instead. We'd lose the first million dollars to taxes, honestly ☺👍⛪👫🙏🙇.
Love this song. Agree with others that the sound for the counterpoints wasn't as strong on this version. I don't know if anyone else is like me, but I have a hard time with different or no banter between verses, I've heard the studio version so much, so I can recite all the spoken parts, complete with timing, and so it feels weird when no one says "They have pre-wrapped sausages but they don't have pre-wrapped bacon." "Can you blame them?" "Uh, yeah!"

Terrifically with a SelfieCamJam from BareNaked Ladies. 2:35 Actually.
Love seeing the kids help out. And Jims daughter with the diva hair flip at the end. priceless. Yet again, Thank you BNL.
Yes! That hair flip made my day!
I hope Jim brings Chloe’s hair-flip on the next tour!
@@DavidStafford1 she inherited that from her dad.

I was going to see these guys twice this summer, and nothing will ever beat a live show, but these are pretty close. Thank you, thank you!
@Penguin Queen beyond that I'm not sure of PA or VA will be open for large gatherings/concerts, I'm pregnant and need to be extra careful about social isolation.
Seen these guys multiple times in concert. No band on earth has a better time on stage than these guys! Love 'em!

They probably live in the U.S. pretending to be Canadian still
@@jenshaw1509 who the hell would want to live in the US
Jen Shaw nah he lives near trinity Bellwood’s park. I had a friend who used to baby sit for him.
@@1gigabat lmao yeah
If I had a $1,000,000, all of those pinball machines would be mine.
He probably has the Dijon ketchup we've heard so much about.
But they're not real pinball machines, that'd be cruel !
There needs to be an option other than like. I love this song. Love. Love Love. Thanks guys.

Thank-you! Thank-you! Thank-you! For doing the selfie cam jams! Love them all! Love you!
Great rendition guys. Keep the tunes coming and thanks to all of you for supporting the great causes you are mentioning !!
I've been listening to this song for my whole life, my dad gave me his Gordon album CD when I was young and to this day it's still one of my favorites. This song always brings a smile. Thanks for making great music!
This is my favorite BNL song and one of my favorite songs of all time. And yes, I sang along. :)
Yes! My favorite BNL song. Thank you for doing this and bring joy to all of this at this time. And taking the time to support UNICEF as well.
That was so awesome! Thank you BNL family!!!
This song helped me stay happy while going through school in the pandemic, I wish this episode was on spotify
I love how at the end of this song, no matter what version, in the last chorus the music and singing always sounds super close to the album version. It’s awesome.
Always love your music. You have been one of my favorite bands since 1996. This is the song that got me hooked.
This is one of our road trip favourite songs ... Gets all of is singing every time
The Barenaked Ladies Family, what a heartwarming fun :)
Quarantined Kraft dinner, with fancy cheese and Ritz on top!!
Does that come with prewrapped sausages and dijon ketchup?
This brought pure joy to my heart! A wee G&T, a BNL tune in my heart, and out to work the garden. Namaste
God bless BNL for all the fun and love over all these decades!
I love how much Jim loves playing bass
Also, can y'all play Bank Job at some point? It's a slightly deeper cut I've always enjoyed
That's one of my favorite BNL songs!
I love how he keeps it simple, too. He just slips into the pocket and owns it.
How do you prepare for a bank full of nuns?
BANK JOB BANK JOB BANK JOB!!!
He is awesome!
Just toasting a marshmallow listening to (I assume?) Dad jam out with the guys. That's the pure content that the world needs. Fantastic jam, guys!

I haven't had this much fun in a long time. Thank you Barenaked Ladies
Thanks for that. This is a great song and I appreciate your helping out with plugging the charity. Stay well.
