Awesome vids SNOmultimedia! Very easy to watch and unlike most other channels like this, you have a very good attitude and demeanor. Very likeable! Keep it up brother!
@EpigeneticAlteration a 55 grain bulitt going at sub sonic speed is a 55 grain bulitt. fired from a .223 or a .22 same thing only .22 was made to go close to that
I asked about this video a while back, really appreciate you making it! :-) it helped out a lot... SO as soon as I relocate from MN to CO (moving there for POST certification / college) I'll buy a suppressor for my M&P 15T & then my .45 I do have a question about class 3 items for you- in a review of the Maxpedition Falcon 2 you showed that you had class 3 permits in your EDC, does that mean it's ok to carry a suppressor daily? if so how does that work should you run into the law?
@sbl212 I shoot from close and far because the acoustics are very different, and this way you hear both. Thanks for watching, and have a great weekend!
I'd like to hear the 5.56 can on the walther p22. Been wondering about a buying a 5.56, and also having it to use on a 22 pistol and rifle. One can to do it all so to speak.
I wonder, if you shot pointblank with a suppressor, what kind of noise there would be. Do you have a proper sound level meter to measure decibels? I would love to see the difference :)
I love you man! You share important, practical (not paranoid) advice with a sense of humor. That's a great combination. Joe (the guy who commented before me) doesn't understand that you are not preparing for the extinction event, you are preparing for the vim, vigor, verve and and vitality experience should we hit some bumpy roads from time to time. It doesn't take much to flip the switch from happy days on the iPad to fuck I have to entertain myself for a while. I guess more people should take tours of Syria or other communities in the world where we are not so safe, well entertained and showered in sugar, fats and salt. LOL Don't people go camping anymore? I get you, and I'd go on to say that you're a pretty friendly and cool resource. Thanks blood! All the best and keep on living large. :-) P.S. You can join my Battalion anytime. Don't forget that survival with a Company of skilled people is easier than survival as a small band of hunter gatherers. Well, that's debatable of course and dependent on the context and the situation. Stealth matters! It's also easier to avoid the common thinking fallacies in a group. OK, I'm done. ;-)
SNO Multimedia Not saying it isn't entertaining and all but how exactly is shooting suppressed weapons in the event of a "bumpy roads" going to get us through said "bumpy roads"?. You clearly said in the video about "the economic collapse" Again..unless your going to go out and rob your neighbors at gun point I really fail to see the "survival advice". In the event of a zombie apocalypse I'll wish i had paid more attention.
outdoorengery I sincerely understand your point of view. I'd like to recommend a good book by Steven Pinker that makes a bullet proof case that our world today is more peaceful and safe than at any time in history, "The Better Angels of our Nature. It's truly a good time to be alive. I heard Bill Gates say in an interview that he'd much rather see a few billionaires making huge sums of money, while at the same time we're making progress around the world than to go down another rout that has proven historically to be bankrupt - communism for example. I understand what he's saying as well, but I am still concerned, as a fan of history, at how quickly a small imbalance or event can trigger the most horrific and devastating consequences. I'm sure you can think of some instances in our recent past that fit the bill. We should use our imaginations, creative skills, and courageous action to innovate across domains and continue to improve things for humanity and preserve and treasure our natural environment. If we go back to being roving bands of people, utterly paranoid of strangers (See Jared Diamond's book, "The World Until Yesterday") killing each other more often and for good culturally based reasons, hunting and gathering, etc., then we're not making progress. I am happy we are more civilized and are beginning to think of humanity as one evolving family. I don't want an apocalypse of any kind and am quite happy with peaceful, incremental progress. I recon if the Zombies did start roaming the lands that many people would simply turn the gun on themselves than live with that horror, some people might kill everyone at their school and themselves just for being ordered to shut off their smart phones, crazy things do happen everyday. No matter how bad it gets, we still need each other, rule of law, efficient institutions, and amazing goals to ensure that we have a future generations from now. I would think it's better to educate people about climate change, and the greatest invention of human history, the scientific method, than to prepare for a tribal war with the guys down the street. Having said all that, if you are going to produce videos about survival, you might as well do it with a sense of humor and a good dose of practicality, and rational realism. Trade in peace, eat well, stay active and hopefully enjoy life with your loved ones. Drop in, not out, and let's learn from each other. I appreciate your comments. All the best
Haha! "I'm gonna help your wife and kid but your starvin' ass comin here beggin' me for food I'm gonna shoot in the face with my yankee hill machine 2.23!" 'MURICA! FUCK YEAH!
@miketlane Your grammar is nearly impossible to follow. Of course a 55 grain bullet "is a 55 grain bullet". No one is complaining about that. What I am saying is I wish he would use subsonic .223 ammo, which can be achieved by increasing bullet weight, or decreasing the projectile charge. They usually do not have enough power to cycle the action, but will at least send the projectile slower than the speed of sound.
If you haven't already found out, just playing around on google will get you a lot of information. But if you just want the quick answer, I'm in Ohio too and they are legal.
I do not agree with your point that citizens should be prepared for any situation, such as war, revolution, economic collapse, etc... Sure, they should be prepared to defend themselves, but large scale turmoil is not realistic. The chances of economic collapse or chaos in the USA is little to none. Now, if you were living in the Middle East or some parts of Europe then its totally. We have it easy in the USA, and people over exaggerate...
About a remark your make in your video: Survivalism with compassion for others makes sense. Me-myself survivalism is just bullshit. In a end of the world situation, I would go out of my way to help others. I mean, the world is destroyed, things are bad enough, let's not make things worst by fighting amongst ourselves. People are hungry and desperate and you would be hiding your ass in your little bunker like scrooge... I don't think you would do that! Still, good video, great shooting. Cheers :)
@EpigeneticAlteration ok ill make it simple. speed of sound is 1,115fps. .22lr is 1,200fps, .223 is 3,200fps. witch will perform best under 1,100fps. as for using the suppressor for them. .22 or .223 at 55 grains moving under 1100fps. same result, same foot pounds of energy down range. .223SS is a joke and if i was as cool as him i would not waste money it it ether
Awesome video ..other than when you included your Ridgeline 🤦🏻♂️ jk ...cool to see side by side comparisons!
That last quote earned my sub

Man, I always love your videos. Only complaint...Need more of em. Happy new year to you and your family.
first time watching one of your video's. Nice job and I like how you do your setup with close and far. Thanks again brother
@tachelesreden
It's not paranoid, they are widely used for hunting, and are good for keeping noise levels down at shooting ranges.
Very cool channel. Subscribed. I'm surprised I haven't come across you before. Keep the great videos coming!
Love the monologue starting at 0:40, sage advice, brilliant!!!
The P22 is such a great little gun.
@IamFreeRu I sure hope you're right. If you are, we'll all be a lot better off. Thanks for watching, and for taking the time to share your views!
I like what you are doing with this channel.
@EpigeneticAlteration
a 55 grain bulitt going at sub sonic speed is a 55 grain bulitt. fired from a .223 or a .22 same thing only .22 was made to go close to that
@2Gonzalez2 I love you too, man. Couldn't do this without you!
Niceeee! Another great video SnoMan!
You caught my attention with your statement about preparedneess. Thnx. Do you have tons of can food?
WOW! what a difference on the surpressed P22!
I asked about this video a while back, really appreciate you making it! :-) it helped out a lot... SO as soon as I relocate from MN to CO (moving there for POST certification / college) I'll buy a suppressor for my M&P 15T & then my .45

@stickandrun It's a really good gun for the money. Thanks for watching!
Only one word to say:
Paranoia!
Best Regards from Germany
I wonder, if you shot pointblank with a suppressor, what kind of noise there would be.
Do you have a proper sound level meter to measure decibels?
I would love to see the difference :)
Amazing video! very well done and very informative. Thumbs up!
I would love to see a suppresed Bolt gun I've heard they are extremely quiet since you work the action yourself.
@brucebmendoza Thanks, with viewers like you, I will!
Omg what a difference i hear you shoot and with silencer i hear you too nice job
i think i will less soundly if you use the special ammo for supressed guns dont u think so?

@Levij83 I'm glad you enjoy them. Thanks for watching!
I wish you'd use some subsonic ammo for the AR-15! Even if the 223 doesn't cycle.
that AR 15 has just about every "scary feature" the gov't doesn't like
Haha! "I'm gonna help your wife and kid but your starvin' ass comin here beggin' me for food I'm gonna shoot in the face with my yankee hill machine 2.23!" 'MURICA! FUCK YEAH!
Are the laws regarding silencers set by the state and how can I find out what they are? I'm in Ohio. Gun is a Glock 40.
Love the whole video
The P22 has a threaded barrel already. All you need is a adapter and a silencer.
Loved this episode, made me laugh and got me to snort. Thank you.
You... are... Awesome!
@tpaladino I know, it's way underrated. At least, I used to overlook the P22. But no longer!
where did u get your threaded barrel?
dude i love that rifle.
@miketlane Your grammar is nearly impossible to follow. Of course a 55 grain bullet "is a 55 grain bullet". No one is complaining about that. damn i like how in the movies the suppressor is so silence
Is it an aac suppressor?
Funny, along with some great Info.
If you haven't already found out, just playing around on google will get you a lot of information. But if you just want the quick answer, I'm in Ohio too and they are legal.
You should use subsonic ammo with a supressor!!!
2 litter soda pop bottle works better, just saying LOL. But all kidding aside this was an awesome video, love the comparisons.
where you are shooting?
