    Today marks 100 days since i purchased my suppressor, 89 days since i certified. Don’t believe the hype, it’s all bs. I jumped on the wagon as soon as people started saying it was instant. This is my second suppressor btw, first wait was slightly over a year. I’m not saying don’t buy one, i strongly recommend every gun owner have a suppressor.what I’m saying is DON’T GET YOUR HOPES UP THINKING IT’LL BE FAST, you’ll just end up more disappointed like me. Can’t be mad about a wait you anticipated. It’s worse when you expect it to be fast then it takes forever. The ATF has no rhyme or reason to their approval times.

      All this was a complaint from two State level Game Wardens during the 1930's. These Game Wardens got the National Government to make a law called the National Firearms Act include a national $200 special tax. When average rate of pay during the 1930's was a mere $1.75 back then. Making it fairly impossible to get a suppressor. No crime has ever been committed using a suppressor.

    What we need is more suppressor company's to adopt more Open Source platform like HUB and what C.A.T. is doing. Manufacturing would become more robust and cost would be driven down due to more competition. Which would promote faster evolution of design since it becomes the company producing the best tech/cost value that wins.

    You're right about the warranties, but also got to look deeper into the actual words he stated...just FYI, IN CASE YOU MISSED IT, NOT HATING BRO. WARRANTY IS GREAT BUT ALSO THE COMPANY, HOW RELIABLE ARE THEY IN BEING ABLE TO RESOLVE AN ISSUE WITH A DEFECT, PROBLEM, AND USER ACTION BEING THE REASON FOR THE MALFUNCTION. THE KNOWN RELIABILITY OF THE COMPANY TO BE KNOWN FOR THAT, BECAUSE A NEW COMPANY MAY HAVE A WARRANTY BUT GO OUT OF BUSINESS AND THEN THE WARRANTY IS BASICALLY MEANINGLESS IF NO OTHER COMPANY TAKES ON THEIR WRITTEN WARRANTY RESPONSIBILITIES.

      Not all silencers cost that much. Our most popular model is only $500 and it's awesome! But the reason is that they need to literally last forever or be serviceable forever because the Tax Stamp process make them basically lifetime purchases. So companies have to make them really good. In other countries, you can get a cheap aluminum chinesium piece of crap silencer for a hundred bucks at any sporting goods store without a license, and it'll fail after 100 rounds. Having a tax stamp period is 100% unconstitutional, but the silver lining is that silencer manufacturers race to the top instead of the bottom.

    Days and weeks sure sound better than months and years. Yet don't take for granted the tech needed and used to maintain the databases for every application submitted for these cans. In the past, the ATF was limited to human controlled data collection and investigation. Now, collective investigative databases are more advanced, which makes the process more convenient. Therefore, don't be misled by some "Pro2A" politicians on CSPAN, making things look like they're defending the 2A by "investigating" the ATF. Your info is still being collected as an application process is still active, hello. Purchasing a can should be just as simple as buying bows and arrows. The ATF, though getting their ASSEtS whooped in recent courts, hasn't been MADE TO COMPLY to the 2A. The process for permission just got faster and easier. You still give up your rights. Just some friendly info for yaz.... wake up the sheep.
    🚨 ATTENTION
    The 2nd Amendment vs human rights.....
    For those who do not understand the meaning of "Rights", we need to make it clear once and for all without any 2A "regulation" upon. Shall Not Be Infringed. Is affirmed "Absolute LAW" from which is a code of human behavior DERIVED FROM MORALITY! Which is considered universal to all people.
    📢 The 2nd Amendment does not apply to full-auto, belt-fed, semi-auto, nor does it apply to bolt action rifles, pistols, or revolvers, silencers, muzzle devices, etc., nor does it apply to any variety of AR15 platform or AK47 or varient, nor any rifle with a "PISTOL" grip or SPORTSMAN rifle. It most definitely doesn't apply to bump/buttstocks, pistol braces, or any after-market furniture made available to assist the development of what is the choice of the user.
    📢 The 2nd Amendment RESTRICTS GOVERNMENT..! The technology of the firearm is irrelevant. The restrictions on the government remain the same, regardless of the firearm's time period.
    📢 The 2nd Amendment doesn't apply with background checks or any type of weapons ban nor to any preventative political agenda offering justification for them.
    📢 The 2nd Amendment most definitely doesn't apply to HUNTING.
    📢 The 2nd Amendment was not written to grant permission for free American civilians to own and bear firearms. It FORBIDS GOVERNMENT INTERFERENCE in the human "right" to keep and Bear Arms as to the code of human behavior.
    This "Human Right" of the People to Keep and Bear Arms, "Shall Not Be 'Infringed". That is all, nothing to follow after this LAW. This ALSO applies to the other "HUMAN RIGHTS". They are not granted. They stipulate "Inherent Rights" that the GOVERNMENT MAY NOT PROHIBIT..! Every time a government official even talks about gun's, they are in direct "Violation" of their Oath of Office.
    - A Free Civilian

    i just noticed the ejection pattern in yours. 3-4 is optimal, right? when i shoot mine with my 556 can it's about 1 or so, just like yours. is that normal for shooting with a can? especially when there's more gas in the system?

    • @BOSS-Silencers
      @BOSS-Silencers 4 місяці тому +1

      If your rifle is ejecting at 3-4 without a can (which is perfect), the pattern can definitely shift to 1 if the silencer has a lot of back pressure. BOSS Silencers are reduced-back pressure, so the pattern didn't change with any of the guns in the video.

    The biggest problem with suppressors isn't availability or the headache getting one it's the laughable price that they sell for. They are extremely low tech basic mufflers. To just be real about it. It's not exotic medals, it's not difficult to machine, it is dead simple. People have literally made them with freeze plugs and flashlights and they work fine. It's the price point on a suppressor that is hilarious. And the only reason they stay in business is the extreme legal consequences when it comes to just saying fuck it and making your own which is very easy to do.

    Kinda seems like the host knew the answers before he asked the guest.... thats kinda weird.
    The biggest issue with these things is that they cost way too much for what they are. Over a thousand or even thousandS for a metal tube with no moving parts? "Hearing safe" is what, under 140dB? We'll if I pay 1500 for a can that drops me to 138...... that's "hearing safe" right? Not at 2am in my 3 foot wide, 10 foot long hallway..... they just aren't quiet enough for the price that is being asked. If you can make a 7" AR 80dB then I'll pay you 1500......

    • @BOSS-Silencers
      @BOSS-Silencers 4 місяці тому

      Just the action cycling on an AR is over 100 db. 80db is roughly as loud as a vacuum. Sound pressure is exponential, which means that the difference between 130 and 140 is extremely noticeable. Even on 556, our Guillotine is well under hearing safe. Check out PEW Science for more technical info.
