my mum was italian she came from naples married my dad who was in the english army in naples in the war met my mum and married her she was only 15 he was older. she came over to england and had me when she was 17. they were together 40 years. she was the kindest wonderful lady you could meet.. and one of the songs she loved to sing was MAMA. mum lived another 23 years after my dad passed. loved them so much. my childhood was amazing.. well my cake is in the oven dont know if its going to turn out ok fingers crossed. i love you and your videos. thank you x

My Italian family immigrated here from Palermo in the 1920s. Gina reminds me of my Aunt Mary, Mame, as she was called by all. She taught me many recipes from Italian cookies to her spaghetti sauce. I always worked hard in her kitchen. I loved every moment of it. I cook a lot for my family of five grandchildren and three sons and wives. I do a lot of canning and baking breads. These videos bring back so many memories. Thank you so much for sharing Gina with me. What a joy! And I am learning many new recipes.

I made this yesterday for our dinner. I used some vanilla instead of lemon. It was very good, very easy to follow Gina directions. Needless to same it is a huge cake but only 1 piece is left!. Thank for a great recipe
