W/373 limited slip r.e. it took me an intake, cam duel springs on the valves, a shift kit and stall. To get 13.33 at 108mph. I'd feel safe saying the cars are most likely close in weight. Todays engine technology is amazing! It blows my mind how far its come since the era of the k car lol

That 12 seconds will be cut 11.5 with the tcu. If im getting 4 sec flat on map 2 jb4 with tcu tune, mind you on our horrible gas (91) Youre absolutely going to tear it into the 11s.
I would like to preference by saying you should only run maps 3-4 with e30. Yes you can run it in map 5, but the octane isn’t high enough and you really need to pay close attention to your logs. You really need race gas or 100-104 octane for map 5. I will be making a video on that as I’ve located some race gas near the race track here in Indianapolis. Much more JB4 content to come. It’s very flexible and I haven’t even installed the EWG connectors for map 6 yet!
Try the EWG wires with Map 3 or 4. The EWG wires act like a custom map. You can push the boost past what the normal map 3 and map 4 can do. There were a couple of guys that hit 11s with just map 2 and the EWG wires. They didn’t even have a TCU, or brake boost, or even use the parking brake.
@@twn2rbo I would put the EWG wires in first thing if you have them. You can always disable them with one setting if you need to. I can walk you through installing them if you need help. They aren’t that hard but there are some tricks to it. Might make a good video showing people how to quickly install and uninstall them.

Is the TCU tune a whole separate item from the jb4, or is the TCU tune accomplished with ewg connections for the jb4 ? I'm really green with all this. My experience is 60's and 70's era muscle and old school 4.3 vortek 4x4 toyota swaps and builds. Lol i cam across the ewg in stinger blogs and had to google what ewg was referring to 😂 its exciting to me experiencing a whole new way to build performance. My jb4 is supposed to be delivered tonight or tomorrow. I'm a 8yro on Christmas morning right now !

That’s awesome! Sick build, I’ve mentioned before in a couple vids that the platform is good as the weakest link, and fuel pressure is one. CPI is a great mod that is overlooked I think. I’m going to do a FMIC when the weather starts to warm up then a TCU. I’m curious to see how fast it will be after that TCU being AWD. CPI would be my final touch if I do more performance mods. Since I have E85 down the road I’ll pass on WMI. Trans cooler would be a good mod too, heat is the enemy, I don’t do run overs 175 degrees usually. How do you like the ARC downs? Significantly louder in the cabin? Cold start is sick with downs 🤤

I still LOVE the KIA stinger so much that a friend of mine told me to take my 2008 Audi A4 B7 and put some fake hood intakes and slap them on the Audi hood; then claim its a smaller KIA Stinger lol. I'm saving up to buy one... slowly..very S L O W L Y :(
I’ve seen Stingers hit 11’s w snip and JB4 for sure. My buddy did that on his 21 Gt, but dropped his tranny. I think with the mild TCU tune I’ll def be 11’s I’m right there

Good stuff. I got 1.3 bar since Canada pump gas is ass. Dont have 93/E85 near me at. With my tcu im running 4 flat. On a very prepped nice day 3.9. with this ecu, should be anywhere from 3.6-7ish
Ok. Maybe a stupid question from a far less knowledgeable and much newer stinger owner. Are there fuel additives that you can use to help the performance numbers as well?
No stupid questions. Some people use those and yes they do work. Boostane has the best reviews and videos showing proof on a dyno. However, it costs the internals with an orange coating and on the 02 sensors. If you need warranty work it will be an issue. I’ve seen it happen before to BMW owners. So just keep that in mind.
IMO they arent worth the cost unless youre at the dragstrip and need abit of boost. They do turn the plugs orange as Twin mentioned and shorten the life span of the plugs as well.

@@twn2rbo u shift manually? For me I just left in automatic lap3 ecu usually shift in a sweet spot. I only use the paddle when doing a roll race. Lap3 is expensive but if u plan to keep the car for a long run I would recommend ecu tune. Still your time 12 flat on a heavy ass stock rim pretty impressive, enough to smoke stang and scats for sure. I own Shelby 350 tuned stinger r faster no question.
Crazy how as a fellow stinger owner how much I look forward to a new video by you, awesome stuff! Did you log these runs? If you did (this might be too deep in the weeds but is extra knowledge) Do you mind looking at what was your max boost you hit in each run/map? Also looking at logs for your shift points on these runs for each gear? With the stock TCU I almost thought it was impossible to shift out of 1st too soon. Because of how fast that gear moves and how delayed the shift is vs the pull of the paddle- Again apologies if that’s a little too in depth of questions. After all it’s not like you are customer service 🤣
@@purrly8578 yes, I like to nerd out on this stuff tbh. I get on N54tech from time to time and read and look at logs. I made a video showing how to record logs and send them to BMS when I first started. I like the fact my Mac has the JB4 app and I can read and see the logs in depth, I will be making videos like that in the future. I love the comment section bc it helps me dictate what you guys want to see. I make these vids for all you and hopes they can help some people. I do want to simplify it bc getting very technical will only reach a certain amount of people , I’m still learning timing , AFR boost target etc. But this spring and summer I plan to get into that stuff and screen record the JB4 while I’m driving so you can see it in real time as well. Unfortunately I can’t use the Dragy and JB4 at the same time (screen recording wise) I may need someone else with an iPhone to go with me for the dragy part
@@kimmeysam yeah the TCU is a weak point for sure, as far as shifting in automatic mode, I noticed after the JB4 the shift from first to second has a slight pause and doesn’t feel right, almost like a small backfire but it’s a very fast. That’s why I try to shift right around 5k as it seems to be the sweet spot into second, but I agree, generally set automatic mode is optimal.
EWG with map4-5 would make a bit of a difference since it allows for precise boost control. If you have a E85 pump nearby then CPI is definitely the route for you to go. You can run between E40-E50 with CPI which will allow you to run much higher boost with Jb4. Either way the best of the best is getting an ECU tune like LAP3.
Which part? I turned it down to 71% on the time line so it didn’t clip. I used a Rode Wireless Go 2 when talking but Dragy was just internal iPhone mic.

💯 honestly, a lot of it is me. This day was my second attempt at running a 1/4 mile. Took a long drive in the middle of nowhere to do it down in Mexico. I shifted a little too soon on the first 2 pulls and the 12 flat, if you watch closely , I let off a split second prior to
LED flicker is due to the frame rate not being high enough. This happens when the exposure is not locked (iPhone camera app). I just purchased a Pro Camera app that allows me to adjust the frame rate and lock the exposure. It can look cool but I just learned about this recently. But I want to continue to increase the video production and get a drone, I actually love editing videos to music , it’s fun!
And you also gatta put into consideration that AWD is heavier, About 180-200 pounds. Try using octanium 70 or 80 depending on your exhaust set up bro. You’ll be breaking numbers real quick. In my book you’re an 11 already 😮💨
Actually I'll be dropping 4.2.to 4.4 gallons of some e85 tomorrow and I think I'll roll the Stinger to work the rest of this week on Map 3. This video has motivated lol
Yeah for sure, I would grab a e85 test kit off Amazon. I put one in the link or just go to Amazon and grab one, it’s only $12 and reusable. The pump near me has been e75 and 4 gallons seems to be a sweet spot. I’ve been reading some studies and e30 is safe long term. It has cleaning properties similar to WMI too. I’ve had 0 issues and run it all the time. I’m addicted to it lol
@@twn2rbo yes I need to test my E85. I have the tester for sure and flex fuel sensor that reads the ethanol in the tank but have noticed when I put in e85 it's been a tad lower than e30 which leads me to believe the e85 is not e85 for sure tad lower

My RWD GT1 would not be doing well in that snow; I bet you love that AWD up there. I don’t need it as I’m in Florida but do you feel that the your drivetrain is as nimble and “fun”, so to speak, in the dry as the RWD Stingers?
It’s so fun, this AWD system is extremely impressive tbh. No cluncking and very smooth. I do have the option to limit 20% power to front wheels and 50/50 in wet/snow so it’s flexible. But I’m really loving it right now with the new TCU tune I got. Takes off like crazy
You know i was thinking about your runs, did you allow a little cool down before that map 5 run ? The oem intercooler tends to not be the strong point in our car. I've heard guys loosing 30hp on dyno runs do to not letting the car cool between pulls. Might wanna do it your map5 first.
Yeah, we were driving around for awhile and I was monitoring the trans and intake air temps. It was only 30 degrees out and in the take temps were around 50-60. I agree on the FMIC, that’s def an install vid coming this spring / summer for sure.
Just a word of advice, shift it back into auto mode when you launch. The computer will shift better than you every time. We just have to drop our egos and let the car do it for us lol.
Stock I would agree, but with the JB4 when put in auto there is always a slight lag and mini backfire from 1st to second, the sweet spot seems to be 5.5k on the shifts which is how I got the 0-60 in 3.9. Logs are good but I don’t think the stock TCU can keep up with the extra 150wheel hp
I do sometimes, but you can’t build any boost with factory launch and the TCU is tuned very conservative. There’s about a 1 second of lag when using factory launch. By holding the parking brake and very slightly building a little boost, it eliminates a lot of that. However, that is very hard on the trans / parking brake. I’ve done it a few times and no issues. I prob wouldn’t do it if I didn’t have a UA-cam channel

That will work just fine, you’ll just need to add a little extra e85 to bring the octane up. I would start with 4 gallons of e85 and rest 91 then check your timing in the logs and make sure the ignition isn’t retarding, but map 3 is pretty forgiving that should be more than enough. You’ll notice a major performance increase man

Lap3 stage 1.5 ecu tune on 93 trap speed 117-120mph at around 11.5-11.8sec 1/4.

Also looking at logs for your shift points on these runs for each gear? With the stock TCU I almost thought it was impossible to shift out of 1st too soon. Because of how fast that gear moves and how delayed the shift is vs the pull of the paddle- Again apologies if that’s a little too in depth of questions. @@purrly8578 yes, I like to nerd out on this stuff tbh. I get on N54tech from time to time and read and look at logs. I made a video showing how to record logs and send them to BMS when I first started. I like the fact my Mac has the JB4 app and I can read and see the logs in depth, I will be making videos like that in the future. I love the comment section bc it helps me dictate what you guys want to see. I make these vids for all you and hopes they can help some people. I do want to simplify it bc getting very technical will only reach a certain amount of people , I’m still learning timing , AFR boost target etc. But this spring and summer I plan to get into that stuff and screen record the JB4 while I’m driving so you can see it in real time as well. Unfortunately I can’t use the Dragy and JB4 at the same time (screen recording wise) I may need someone else with an iPhone to go with me for the dragy part
@@kimmeysam yeah the TCU is a weak point for sure, as far as shifting in automatic mode, I noticed after the JB4 the shift from first to second has a slight pause and doesn’t feel right, almost like a small backfire but it’s a very fast. That’s why I try to shift right around 5k as it seems to be the sweet spot into second, but I agree, generally set automatic mode is optimal.
Are you making any specific changes in the Jb4 settings to run map5 or is everything default and you're just running with the mods and E30 mix?
Not in this vid, but there will be vids like that in future. I have the EWG connectors sitting in my office
EWG with map4-5 would make a bit of a difference since it allows for precise boost control. If you have a E85 pump nearby then CPI is definitely the route for you to go. You can run between E40-E50 with CPI which will allow you to run much higher boost with Jb4. Either way the best of the best is getting an ECU tune like LAP3.

You are seeing a phenomenon dealing with the frame rate of the video. It’s pretty common with LED lighting. You won’t see the “flicker” in person.
LED flicker is due to the frame rate not being high enough. This happens when the exposure is not locked (iPhone camera app). I just purchased a Pro Camera app that allows me to adjust the frame rate and lock the exposure. It can look cool but I just learned about this recently. But I want to continue to increase the video production and get a drone, I actually love editing videos to music , it’s fun!
And you also gatta put into consideration that AWD is heavier, About 180-200 pounds. Try using octanium 70 or 80 depending on your exhaust set up bro. You’ll be breaking numbers real quick. In my book you’re an 11 already 😮💨

Yeah for sure, I would grab a e85 test kit off Amazon. I put one in the link or just go to Amazon and grab one, it’s only $12 and reusable. The pump near me has been e75 and 4 gallons seems to be a sweet spot. I’ve been reading some studies and e30 is safe long term. It has cleaning properties similar to WMI too. I’ve had 0 issues and run it all the time. I’m addicted to it lol
@@twn2rbo yes I need to test my E85. I have the tester for sure and flex fuel sensor that reads the ethanol in the tank but have noticed when I put in e85 it's been a tad lower than e30 which leads me to believe the e85 is not e85 for sure tad lower

My RWD GT1 would not be doing well in that snow; I bet you love that AWD up there. I don’t need it as I’m in Florida but do you feel that the your drivetrain is as nimble and “fun”, so to speak, in the dry as the RWD Stingers?
It’s so fun, this AWD system is extremely impressive tbh. No cluncking and very smooth. I do have the option to limit 20% power to front wheels and 50/50 in wet/snow so it’s flexible. But I’m really loving it right now with the new TCU tune I got. Takes off like crazy

You know i was thinking about your runs, did you allow a little cool down before that map 5 run ? The oem intercooler tends to not be the strong point in our car. I've heard guys loosing 30hp on dyno runs do to not letting the car cool between pulls. Might wanna do it your map5 first.
Yeah, we were driving around for awhile and I was monitoring the trans and intake air temps. It was only 30 degrees out and in the take temps were around 50-60. I agree on the FMIC, that’s def an install vid coming this spring / summer for sure.

Just a word of advice, shift it back into auto mode when you launch. The computer will shift better than you every time. We just have to drop our egos and let the car do it for us lol.
Stock I would agree, but with the JB4 when put in auto there is always a slight lag and mini backfire from 1st to second, the sweet spot seems to be 5.5k on the shifts which is how I got the 0-60 in 3.9. Logs are good but I don’t think the stock TCU can keep up with the extra 150wheel hp
Yo you don’t use launch control?
I do sometimes, but you can’t build any boost with factory launch and the TCU is tuned very conservative. There’s about a 1 second of lag when using factory launch. By holding the parking brake and very slightly building a little boost, it eliminates a lot of that. However, that is very hard on the trans / parking brake. I’ve done it a few times and no issues. I prob wouldn’t do it if I didn’t have a UA-cam channel

Hey man been watching for a while I have AWD gt 2019 I don't have a ton of 93 around me I have e85 and 91 everywhere what would you run gas wise
That will work just fine, you’ll just need to add a little extra e85 to bring the octane up. I would start with 4 gallons of e85 and rest 91 then check your timing in the logs and make sure the ignition isn’t retarding, but map 3 is pretty forgiving that should be more than enough. You’ll notice a major performance increase man
