    Keep in mind that the 3.8s you got was a true time. The times you see in magazine's such as Car and Driver are using the 1ft rollout. That is the time at the bottom left in your Dragy run. Usually about .2s - so effectively you re running 3.6 vs all the cars measured by magazines. Lozic is the man! He's also a very very nice person with a TON of tuning experience.

      Yes he is really cool. I’ve experienced no language barrier either and he responds in a reasonable time considering he’s on the other side of the globe. I’m thinking a 3.7 will be my cap after I keep practicing 😁 totally fine with me!

      Awesome bro! Yeah an ECU tune can be optimal and provide features the piggybacks can’t like auto start stop ( ISG) disabled as well as burbles. However, there isn’t any adjustment to make and some can have some timing issues etc. I would still recommend the JB4 as the safest and most flexible option at this time, but the Lozic ECU tunes have come a long way. Lozic TCU tune is a 100% recommendation

      Absolutely, bc it will allow you to build boost off the line. It would be optimal working with a tuned ECU though for sure as they communicate. • @twn2rbo
      @twn2rbo  2 роки тому +1

      Stinger has been very reliable, but there is a know issue with the hatch rattling. But it was an easy simple fix and hasn’t rattled since. I have noticed a couple other little rattles, but I had some ridiculous 12” sundown subs in after I drove it off the lot, so some of that is my bad. The only other common annoyance is the turbo wastegate actuator rod squeaking. Other than that it’s a solid ride and responds extremely well to mods / tuning power wise. I would still recommend 1.5 yr later.

It’s a love hate thing, but if you tune the car it will not go into limp mode near as often, but it’s important that you monitor all temps when driving it hard

      Not that I am aware of, dealers are looking for abnormal boost / torque levels. The best option would be an ECU tune and pair it with a TCU, that way you can just the OEM ones back in and they shouldn’t be able to trace anything. Modern cars have several computers so this may not be absolute, but logically that makes sense to me

    Question. I have a 20 g70 3.3t. The trans in comfort is pretty lazy with gears and sometimes feels like it’s in the wrong gear at times and takes a little to find the gear then picks up as normal (clunky)
    Is the tcu tune strictly for sport mode or can he tune the trans gears to be more refined and accurate in comfort and sport ? Hope this makes sense

    • @twn2rbo
      @twn2rbo  2 роки тому +1

      Hey that’s awesome! It is the same across the board he says. Under normal acceleration in comfort it is def faster but it’s not aggressive at all with stage 1 specs I have. It’s perfect. There not rough upshifting ever, You will really notice the biggest difference in sport mode, esp when it downshifts bc it’s trying to keep the rpm’s a higher than what you will be use to. I could tell when I first installed it that it needed a little time to get use to everything and learn / communicate with the ECU, it has def improved

      @@twn2rbo sweet thanks for the response. Would you say that if there’s any clunkyness or not so smooth shifting in general that the tcu tune would smoothen everything up as well specifically in comfort? I feel like it confuses itself as to what gear it should be in at times and finds it very slowly whenever u decide to input more throttle ool

    Tcu tune isn't going to cause you to have to replace the transmission in most cases it will help handle the power and torque better. These cars are hitting 3.0 0-60 times fbo on e85. What would cause you to loose a transmission is not tuning the tcu with the extra power and torque you get from upgrades and ecu tuning until it hits a certain point... the 8 speed in these cars is Koreas version of ZF transmissions rather than going with something that's widely used and proven they choose to make their own so far I haven't seen weak points exposed with the higher hp cars. In the realm of a dual clutch golf r rs3 ect most of the time the stock clutches can handle alot but at a certain point you have to upgrade them.

    Harder shifts are faster shifts which is actually better for the transmission.. the only reason manufactures don’t have them shift this way already is cause of driving comfort..
    You get in any 1980’s sports car with an auto and they all hit hard cause the higher line pressure makes for faster shifts which means less friction and heat in the transmission which results from slower smoother shifts..
    Liken it to riding the clutch in a manual to have zero jerkiness.. autos are slipping all the same to make shifts that don’t jerk..
