Transforming An Old Peugeot Road Bike Into A Fixie

- I got this old unsused peugeot bike for £40 off eBay, the gears had rusted, it was unuseable and sat in someones garden. I wanted to convert it to a fixie while reusing as many parts that came with the bike as possible.
The frame was in nice condition, but I wanted to transform the bike so I took it to East Coast Alloys in Hull powdercoatinghull.co.uk/ where it was stripped, blasted and powder coated in this briliiant red.
I managed to clean up and re use the bars, stem, headset, seat post, cranks and pedals.
I bought a new sealed square taper bottom bracket which was 110mm to go with the new spacing of the 2nd hand fixie wheelset I got off eBay. I also bought a new seat clamp and saddle and some grips.
Thank you for watching. - Розваги
What editing! wow. Things got real serious about 11 min with the paint removal and powder coating. I love those long drop bar grips have never seen them before.
Bro you didn’t grease the left turn bolt on the doodad properly. Remember on 2.75 turns of the 5mm hex key is illegal in Grenada.
DUDE, extra kudos for the stop motion section. Clean AF.
Nice build and great work of restoring.
Beautifully made!
Absolutely gorgeous bike and excellent work!! Thank you for the awesome video!!
I was looking for a video EXACTLY like this! Man, just thank you!
Fantastic video and great work on a beautiful looking bike. Love the end shots of you riding down the road at the end. Work of art. Many thanks for sharing and all the best.
I loved watching this. The cinematography & editing were creative and unique. Great watch.
Great work, as always!
This is better than asmr! And no time wasting on the vid! Great resto 👍
Beautifully done.
nice build! I think the chain line might be a little off though, maybe if you used a bb with a slightly longer spindle it would fix it!
Wow. Just beautiful. Excellent work, excellent video.
Nice work. I appreciate your attention to detail.
Awesome work! You put so much love on that bike sir.. Pure beauty ❤️
Big Love from Bali
🙏🏾🌺
That's some craftsmanship. Well done!
B-e-a-utiful work. Both in mechanics and edition
The cinematography is awesome! Also the bike is a work of art
Amazing work !!
New lease of life for fixie tomfoolery.I like your style!
Great work!
awesome build
Gotta love the classics. Thanks
Sick transformation. Wish I had the tools to do this. Great video
Nice work! Looks great. 👍🏼
Great stuff, enjoy these films :)
So, so, so nice, yet again,. You're an inspiration
Great video! I would have gone with a new set of MKS commuters platform pedals. Smart move on the crankset. Steel chain rings are the way to go because they last forever.
So satisfying.
Great job
Amazing!
how is this channel is still only have 2k subscribers ?! amazing video & restorasion !
Beautiful I love it cause I do have a 1985 also 52 ×12 fixed / stationary 27"×1" rims and tires please do have lots of fun thanks for sharing do have a pleasant day
Nice job on the frame
I could watch this channel for hours.
well done!
Love it!
intensely satisfying...
Yo the pedals. This dude is psycho 😂 10 out of 10 5 stars on the video. Earned a sub on this one!!
Amazing...! 🙏👌
Thanks.Nicely done. It may be better with brakes.Very good quality. Cheers
Thanks! I’ve just left it as a fixie for this, but everything is still there to add a front brake easily and I will when it gets ridden more. Safety first.
so beautiful
No brakes at test run
very nice
SICK
Nice!
Lovely job. Just remember riding a bike on the road with no front brake is illegal in the UK.
Wow, done SO right!
Great Work. Can you give more details about the bottom bracket 110mm (Shimano?). Thank you.
Could you please tell me what you used for the single speed conversion....ie...spacers etc.
Cheers
Fookin lovely
magnifique ! bravo =)
This guy uses the force.😳
Bravo bien travailler 💛👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hermosa!!
the chain ring looks like a 52, what size cog did you use? also, what material and what liquid did you use the shine the handle bar?
Just curious what solvent is in the bin when you work with the pedals, gears, etc.
Where did you get the decals
Awesome work and great video skills! Where did you get the decals or did you make them?
Sweet
The author suffered with this video, but it turned out very beautifully!
eww that build is sick 🤮🔥🔥🔥
whats the size of the seatpost?
I’d recommend not using grease on the bottom bracket spindle because you could push the crank on too far and either crack it or make it nearly impossible to take it off.
Excellent video! Nice work! Where did you source your decals? Or did you make those yourself?
It's beautiful, but the thing that really gets me dumbfounded is just how does he get those decals.
What red is that?
Reminds me of 'Take Hart' I'm expecting to see morph turn up.
I have converted road bike to fixie and varnished .
Excelente trabajo, saludos cordiales desde el último lugar del mundo Chile 🇨🇱
Love seeing these old bikes coming back to life . I have a shogun and a Raleigh both from the 80s and also a fixed gear new. There's something so real about old bikes. Great video thanks.
Looks like you're running a tall gear there ? I ride fixed at around 60 gear inches , your looks more like maybe 75 ? . Happy riding
Jan svankmajor bike build?
This is a job fucking well done.
This is awesome and I'm doing exactly the same thing on a smaller budget, and I need to replace the wheels what wheels are these and what size rear cog did you use. This would help me immensely, I'm very new to this and wheelset sizes are driving me crazy. Thanks :)
it rly depends on waht kind of riding you do and what size cranket you are using. a 19t or 22t cog is a nice all rounder
I'm curious why you didn't grind off the shifter bosses?
I'm going to be so mad if this dude isn't Italian. I've already made my mind, he has to be!
UK number plates on the cars, so maybe not
@@barbabianca7590 I'm angry already
good job! Thickslick 23c, 25?
Linda como uma pimenta
Cantik!
This is serious man
I would have kept the original paint. Otherwise really well done!
the only thing! why you forget varnish to protect your stickers. better - few layers
this looks like york.. is it? such a cool video otherwise, that bright red is something else 😮
Hull 😀
Where the brakes at
Where did you buy the Peugeot stickers? Greetings
What’s the weight of the bike before and after trasformation? I’m really interested in a similar project
Heavy as fuck - - - Fucking heavy.
Nice restoration. A bit overdone on the decals.
god i wish that were me
I would of just got rid of mudguards clean then polish
are u german?
Where is the brakes, kamikaze?
Otis's bike

U turn him to single spide
You shouldn’t ever grease the square taper of a bottom bracket/crank
Thanks for the tip, why not?
@@SJMCycles it allows you to overtighten onto the taper, which could deform the crank especially on softer aluminum cranks. this is like the only metal to metal interface on a bike you don't grease apart from the handlebars
@@milosong-weiss5770 Thanks for the explanation. Now this is an old comment, but I was gonna ask about this very thing since I've heard elsewhere you shouldn't grease the cranks for risk of splitting them. Is this why you risk splitting them? Them possibly deforming from being overly tightened?
@@TheDavveponken I mean that sounds very plausible. I was just parroting what I’ve heard which makes logical sense in my original comment, I have no actual experience with damaging cranks by greasing the taper
the moment you dropped the frames set into the paint stripping water I lost hope and admiration😑
drop-outs
Best to take anything off the bike that is too complicated for you to understand
Nooo fkg fixie :(
Why do that
ээ обтереть остатки хромирования ? ну и? допервого тумана или лужи..
I don't like Slow -fast camera
