Couldn't agree more - funny smart irreverent. Patrick Stewart's Sweeney Todd idea and joke was priceless - as was Ian McKellan's response to playing Mrs. Lovett. SPOILER ALERT! Interesting too that in Sweeney Todd the barber's chair tilts backwards and tips the hapless victim down a shaft to meet their horrible demise...ending up in Mrs. Lovett's pies. Was that the inspiration for G Norton's chair for audience members who didn't come up to scratch?

On a show that probably has hundreds of deadpan English comedy gold moments, that was one of the very best. Another favorite is Richard Ayoade talking about his book on Gwyneth Paltrows film.
