During the US invasion in Afghanistan, NATO supplies passed through Pakistan to reach Afghanistan. In Pakistan's Pakhtoon Khwa province near the Afghanistan border, some locals regularly looted weapons and supply trucks for years, and surprisingly, no one took steps to stop it. What's even more surprising is that NATO never complained about this happening. The looted weapons ended up being openly sold in markets like Peshawar Karkhano Bazar.
That situation was rising suspicions abut the indirect support given by the Pakistani government and NATO to the Afghan and Pakistani Taliban for future plans. There were instances where the Afghan National Army caught Afghan Taliban members with the same weapons provided by the US and its allies. This raises concerns about a confusing collaboration between the Pakistani government, NATO, and insurgent groups.
Despite what the Pakistani government says, it's crucial to understand that the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is anti Pashtoons movement, and there's strong evidence that it's funded and supported by the Pakistan Army.

That’s awfully counterproductive for Pakistan and makes no sense at all. In a few words my opinion is the ones arming TTP are not Afghans or the Pak army but the same dark force which has been arming and funding the BLA terrorist faction, the case of Gulbashan Yaadev ex Indian navy officer arrested in the process of supplying arms to BLA terrorists points the finger at Indian intelligence, possibly RAW which has also recently been implicated by the US and Canada for the assassination and attempted assassination of its Sikh citizens.
Its very simple actually. Pakistan played double game with US and TTA for the past 20 years. Now both are returning the same favour! Adopt to it or be no more!
All you have done is militarize the Pakistani people. Before, many Pakistanis celebrated the TTA rising back to power. Now, many are willing (and some even eager) to look the other way if the military decides to re-enact a similar policy in Afghanistan that the Turks are doing in Syria. I don't know how this will play out, but I doubt the Afghans can handle another war. This time, there won't be a neighboring country that accepts millions of refugees during the war, unlike the past 40 years.
Our enemies want Muslims to fight with each other, it's time to thwart their designs not to indulge into war and weaken ourselves whereas our eastern neighbor is looking for opportunity to attack...

I'm no expert, but Brig. Janjua's analysis sounded well informed and reasonable to me. I would only criticize it for its implication that the TTP's use of Afghanistan as a rear base was a new thing. The TTP has used Afghanistan this way for a long time, starting years before the Taliban took over. Many suspected that the Ghani regime quietly supported the TTP as a way of protesting Pakistan's support for the Taliban. Nor would Pakistani military action against the TTP in Afghanistan be a new thing. It has periodically shelled Afghanistan for more than a decade. It would certainly have the right to do so in self defense. I only hope that Pakistan limits itself to doing so legitimately for cause, and not as a way to posture for political reasons.
Good presentation & situational awareness regarding the border situation with Afghanistan, it seems that the current regime in Afghanistan has no interest in coordinating or cooperating with Pakistan to prevent cross border incursions, they just seem to be least bothered by this very important concern, Pakistan will have to use multiple ways, like using economic leverage, and upgrading the Police, as suggested by the guest, to deal with the challenging situation

Ironic, that Pakistan blames the Afghans of funding and facilitating terrorists inside Pakistan and insists on reserving the right for surgical strikes and “hot pursuit”, while having done the same to India and protesting Indian retaliation. Apne gereban mein jhankna seekho aur sabaq seekho.
These insurgents are political tools. A state does not criticize the use of this tool in and of itself. It criticizes the use of this tool against its own interests. The same way India funds groups like the BLA, Pakistan funds groups like the PAFF.

@@HritikShrivastava The TTA literally signed the Doha Agreement promising to protect American regional interests. The tension between Pakistan and Afghanistan is not for some righteous Islamic reason, but because of (secular) nationalist motives.
