Good man, these "videos" are bringing back loads of memories. After South Bank I became registrations secretary for the league and was involved in many a ground grading inspection, my god 30 years ago!!!

Thanks, I'm really glad they are bringing some enjoyment!
I don't think many of these newer "caged grounds" would get anywhere near passing the grading 30 years ago!
Honestly I think the standards - or at least the character - has.gone downhill.
A ground like Chester le Street (no video yet), was better 35 years ago than most new ones now.

Another venue for Durham City FC when they couldn't play home games at home on the artificial pitch. This ground looks a million times better than when I was last there, about 11-12 years ago.

It's definitely looking on goo nick. I love this ground!
It's a shame the actual team is struggling!

Wow Willington….to my shame I have to admit I have not even heard of this club!
88,000 at Wembley! Wow that is pretty astonishing.
    Long proud history indeed.
    Great video, thanks Richard

Yes, one of the group of Durham Coalfeld teams that dominated English Amateur Football!
Crook, Bishops, Willington, West Auckland & others.

Perhaps you could do a section on defunct Northern League teams? How the places look now and how they once looked?

You must be reading my mind. I've been spending this afternoon making a list and jogging my memory about some clubs that don't exist anymore! Plenty in the North-east!

I'm watching them all now son, I was a secretary at the Bank at the time of the fires, all the wonderful club minutes went up in the clubhouse fire.

@steverock1182 Ahh that's sad. It'd like if the boardroom in this Willington video got destroyed, with all that wonderful memorabilia.
Ah well, at least you have the memories.
Maybe one day I'll go over to Golden Boy Green on Normanby Road and do something.
