Great to see my Buxton FC mentioned! It is in fact very cold in Buxton, also very rainy.
On a more serious note, it is a great stadium, great club, great facilities and it is always worth a visit
I heard they’re going full time next season, good luck with it!
Very interesting, Thomas! BTW, uniqueness is binary, i.e. something is unique or it isn't, so it can't be more unique than something else. For example, Thomas is unique, but not more unique than (Heaven Forbid!) Thogden or Alfie Pot's Armour.
Spot on, old chap! It's a good thing we're here to keep him honest! 😃
Next week we can teach him how to pronounce "world" the American way. A lot of Brits pronounce it as "way-ood". 🤣
Love your vids man I live in Australia and an Australian not english - you're educational and easy to watch thankyou for your vids
The small stand in Peckham can just about fit in all the Trotters !
How many new non League grounds will you plan on going to next season?😮
Nice video.😅
i would add the old spotted dog in Forest gate to this.
Home of Clapton CFC community football club.
Hopefully quite a few! I’ve heard of Clapton CFC before, it’s one I’ll have to get down to.
Great video and btw
Have you ever heard of Matlock Town’s Causeway lane as it is very interesting as a football stadium
The scenery is incredible! I’ll have to get up there one day.
Well researched and presented video. Keep it up mate👍
Thank you!
Peckham Town .. That'll be Del Boys Favourite Team No Doubt !😊😊😂😂😂❤❤❤
"Uniquest" isn't a word. Unique means 'one of a kind', and something can't be more one of a kind than another. You mean most unusual.
‘Castle Town‘s ground is located in Lyme Valley and it’s pronounced like the citrus fruit 🤔👍
Newcastle town is pronounced lime valley stadium Its in Newcastle under lyme.
“Uniquiest”. That isn’t a word. You mean “most unique”.
Uniquest? No such word. 'Most Unique' is the correct term.
There is no such a thing as a non league football team!!!!
Have you seen Enfield ground it's has an art deco stand an look totally different to a modern ground and no I am not an Enfield fan😂😂😂
I’ve been to a few Enfield games, the QEII ground is another great one. Yes, its cafe building is interesting. It’s a good addition to the National League South!
Better information on location of grounds would be helpful. For example when saying Newcastle do you mean staffs
I thought the Dripping Pan would miss out but there it is at the end.
If you like Lewes FC's dripping pan for the banks and history, may I suggest my team's Odsal Stadium. Yes, you'd have to tear yourself away from football to watch rugby league as it's the home of Bradford Bulls but Bradford City did use it for a few seasons when Valley Parade wa being rebuilt after the fire. It's on the site of an old quarry, hence the banks and it proudly boasts one of the largest sporting attendances in British history at 102,569. It's thought there were as many as 130,000 people as they had to open the gates for safety when the attendance got so high. Full disclosure, it's a dump and it's falling down but we could do with the money haha.
It looks very nice from the pictures, I like the standing all around the ground. I saw plans for a new/refurbished stadium too, how likely is it to happen?
@@TFSS new is out of question for the powers that be, money is a huge factor but they'll never leave that sight due to the history. There was a chance of ground sharing with City at Valley Parade about 20 years ago, but that was shot down by fans. Personally think it was the only way forward. It will never happen now. As for refurbishments, it's a tad complicated. In short, rugby league's top flight the super league is moving away from promotion and relegation and using a points system based on many factors, two of which are the quality of the stadium and money in the bank. They've got the money in the bank to do improvements but that will take away from their score. Currently, Bradford Bulls will not be in the super league based on the points system, so need to get investment and/or government/council funding to improve the facilities. Funding is a no, but investment is a possibility. We'll have to see.
@@manning0 that’s really interesting how the new system will work, I can see how it rewards the clubs with better finances/management. I’ve never seen anything like that before.
With Valley Parade’s pitch condition at the moment I can see why they don’t want 2 teams playing on it! 😂
Dripping Pan is a wonderful name for a ground, perhaps even edging out the Giant Axe of Lancaster City. The latter, though, is worth a visit for its view of the Castle and the Priory Church which overlook the ground, and the club's nickname of the Dolly Blues brings back memories of childhood washing days.
'Unique' means one of a kind. There is no superlative to 'unique', just like there is no superlative to 'one'.
quirky
you alrite m8, what do u think of fratton park?
Another fantastic ground, I’d love to visit. It has a great design and atmosphere too!
@@TFSS Best atmosphere in the country, old fashioned ground. You'd love it, please go. Better than Wrexham. I'm a pompey fan.
Next season!
From your list, I find the Tudor-style stand at Cadbury increadible. What a wonderful and photogenic backdrop for any match! I haven't seen anything like that at other grounds. This was not on my Groundhopping radar, many thanks for the introduction to this 1902 landmark!
Thanks for watching, I’m glad I gave you some more ideas. There’s some great ground on there!
Great video. Fully agree with the majority of your picks. Your number 1 pick Lewes FC is my favourite ground in England at all levels.
FYI - Lyme is pronounced like the fruit lime. I went to uni near there.
Thank you, Lewes FC is fantastic. Ah ok, that makes sense!
Marine. great club. Buxton good ground too.
Another interesting thing about Teversal's ground is that you have to step down into the dugouts, but the roof extends out in front of the steps. You have to duck to get in, and remember to duck when getting out (which is easy to forget when your team scores)
Haha, I can imagine a few sore heads from jumping up and down!
Great list. Only been to 3 of the grounds myself.
Thanks, I definitely want to get to more myself.
Good video! You have to respect Non League, such a good thing we have in this country!
Thank you, football in England runs so deep, it’s fantastic.
North Leigh - such a steep hilly pitch 😅
Or Underhill’s infamous slope!
I suggest you could have included Gresley Rovers, otherwise this list is solid.
That’s a lovely ground.
The tesco stadium still more reliable then old trafford.
✅ Leak proof
love ya vids
Thank you!!
Very informative video. I didn't know about the Cadbury one. I have been the Yarmouths gounds and it's definatly worth a visit. Gorleston who are a league above play there too.
Thank you, that’s interesting that it’s a ground share, it looks a lovely ground.
@@TFSSthat’s because Gorleston lost their ground due to an arson attack. Great Yarmouth’s ground is quite something. It was the first place I went to on my tour of Norfolk teams.
Great list a few to visit
Fascinating video, thanks for posting!
Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed!
Teversel Football ground Use to be tescos
Before it was turned into a ground?
should look at ely city
Fantastic scenery and view of the cathedral!
Are you Stevenage fan? Ik you’ve been there a few times but not sure if you are or not.
I support Arsenal, and go to Barnet games when Arsenal are away. I know I probably shouldn’t be wearing a Stevenage jumper but it’s very comfortable!
@@TFSS oh right that makes sense and don’t worry majority of people in Hertfordshire support Arsenal including people in Stevenage.
Yeas that’s true, same down here in Barnet.
As always a very interesting video.
Thank you!
Great video
Thanks for watching!
Great video!
Thank you!
That’s the dream!
