Rather watch a game here played by teams who want nothing more than a competitive match than a premiership game dictated by how much money either club has.
Totally agree Mick, on today of all days!
The richer teams win leagues all the way down
@trevorcook9680 Definitely.
Tow Law themselves had massive problems with affording a competitive team this past season and finished 2nd bottom
Correct, I'm viewing the Tow Law edition now, did you know where you're filming from in the ground ( first shots clubhouse to the left) there used to be railway lines on the terracing. The train ran to Tow Law station. All these small pit villages had their own station for coal. Froze to death many a time!! Even Baltic in August!!! Great pies!!!
Nope I didn't know!
I love this ground, though. One of my favourites.
I've been there about 15 times because the team i support used to be in their league haha. Very cold 🥶
@ItzZak178 haha what's your team?
@@footballexplorer99 Heaton stannington 💪🏼💪🏼⚫️⚪️
@@ItzZak178 haha congratulations.
Great video mate, I'm in the clubhouse every weekend and it's a really friendly crowd in there, In fact I'm good friends with Bob who I could hear you talking to.
@@paulconnor9362 Thanks! It's deffo one of my favourites!
I'll get there for a match at one point.
Great video . Reminds me a little bit of BishopAuckland fc & heritage park . Where I went to see my team Halesowen Town play Darlington . A famous club Tow Law . A good tidy ground . Would like to see you do a video on Willington fc . Up there in crook . I knew someone who followed them & have often wanted to visit there one day . But enjoyed the video on Tow Law .
@@grahamwalls9379 I have a great video on Willington. Hope you've found it already!
@Grahamwalls. Please come and see not only Willington , but Crook Bishop Auclkland Spennymoor West Auckland and Shildon all within a five mile radius and all famous non-league clubs
@@prideofdurham4776 There's also the football museum in BA.
I've followed Tow Law results from the Mansfield game never been to see them yet but hopefully going to go up to Tow Law this coming season
Wow that's a long time!
Make sure you wrap up warm when you go 😄
Nice vid. mate, thanks. I went there on my travels some years ago.
Isn't Buxton higher or Stanley United in your neck of the woods? ( Not sure if Stanley exisst anymore. )
@Ncfc-ek8il Glsd you liked it. Yeah it's possible that Buxton is higher. Not colder though, haha.
Stanley Utd don't exist, but I have been up to the site.of their ground recently. It's pretty much a straight road from there to Tow Law, so it might be a rival, yes!
Used to live near there. Beautiful place but freezing.
@MichaelCook84 I agree! Great history too.
Cold yes , highest maybe , but the views are superb.
@@prideofdurham4776 I love the place. Shame about the low crowds!
Surely, Tow Law are one of the most iconic north-east non-league teams, I used to enjoy a trip to The Ironworks, to see a game. The pitch has suffered several cave-ins over the years and I did once hear a rumour that when this happened in 2004, the NCB/Coal Authority stepped up to fix the sink-hole that had appeared, but, they also offered to expand the repairs and arrange for the pronounced slope in the pitch to be levelled out. The story goes that the club chose to decline the offer on the basis that the slope was part of their identity and history. As I say, that was a rumour but I sincerely hope that it's a fact. When visiting Tow Law to watch a game, always take precautions as they have a completely different climate up there as if it's winter, you can get things frozen off that you may still need whilst watching a match.
Nice story! If Id been aware of it I would have asked Steve during the video! 😄
@@footballexplorer99 That's what brought it to my mind!
Mennt a time i have been to TLT and its always the same apart from the fence in the car park
I do love this ground though. Lots of character, from the sloping pitch to the murals and views of the hills.
Cancel sky and follow your local non league team. Love games at tow law, don't spill your tea though when coming down the 2 steps at the tea hut 8.52.
@dcarr29100 You're gonna need that hot drink at Tow Law!
Can always watch Sky in the clubhouse after if desperate 😄
I think Buxton Fc is the highest
Yeah Silverlands ar Buxton is the other one.
I reckon Tow Law is the most exposed and coldest though!
Although see my video on Easington, next to the sea.
I used to live near the Silverlands it's about 1,000 feet high.
@jones1068 It's just a little less exposed though, if I remember rightly
Is that Mr Morrell the Chairman ?
Wear Valley Sports once of Crook !!!
I'm not sure, I did this back in September and didn't get surnames 😄
think consett is colder lol
@@johnkeohane5420 Even the new ground? I suppose it is kind of on a hill as well.
jack from @workthespace did a football manager save on his channel with Tow Law Town.
