I tried this method this evening for Mexican tortilla soup… O-M-G… makes SUCH a difference! I’ve always made my soup 1. Sauté onion 2. Add garlic 3. Add veg/chik broth 4. remaining ingredients 4. Bring to slight boil then add chicken breasts. At that point the soup is on a low but consistent boil. I’ll let it simmer until chicken is cooked (~20-25 min), then take chicken out, shred, add chicken back to soup. I’ve always like the result but my wife won’t touch the soup; she has a very delicate palate and doesn’t like the chicken flavor. This afternoon I watched your video wondering if I’m “boiling chicken wrong”. Yup, I am! I tried this out tonight, asked my wife to taste the results, told her I’d tried a different method… she had two bowls! Bam! You Ms. Eileen, are amazing!!! Thank you!!!

I always left it in medium once it boiled but because the way my stove is it would keep boiling quickly. And my mom always told me to cook it for 1 hour so you can imagine how tough my chicken breast would be after that! I learned to turn down the heat after watching a few videos and now my life has changed!

Oh wow.. that's what my grandmother has always called it. The eye on the stove lol everyone is different.

That’s a southern term “eye”. I rarely use the word burner. Lol

@@TP-xy2ms I was just about so say it might be a southern thing because I was born in TN and live in MS and I’ve always called it the stover eye 😂

Me either, but I knew exactlywhat she meant when she said it. It does look like an eye.

I cook chicken maybe once every couple of weeks or so and I always come back to this very video! The first time before this video my chicken was rubbery and it really turned me off to eating/cooking it. I found this video and now I love chicken again lol. Never have a made chicken so perfectly juicy and evenly cooked!

Thank you so much sweetie, making green enchiladas and had no idea how long to boil my breasts and I would have made the mistake of boiling them too hard and too long if you hadn't shared this great information. Take care and God bless 😊

Marsha you are a jewel. This way of boiling chicken is fantastic! I was lost with boiling chicken. Now thanks to you, I got tender and delicious chicken. I will use it for soup, salad and casserole. ❤
