i really dont know how u manage to make the craziest theories with such little info.. youre amazing!! i have a strong feeling that these theories are all where the show's heading, it cant be a coincidence that it makes so much sense ...
Honestly I'm not sure either! Usually there's just this thought that pops into my head along the lines of "hey, this thing could be connected to that thing, which means something else!" And then I'll do a bit of research on this thought, and if I find enough connections and evidence to back it up, then voilà! Out comes a full theory! I don't know if this one will be right, but it would be pretty great if it was!
Apophenia?
Elf: hello my dearest cousin how have you been!!?
Cousin(dragon): MMMMMROOOAAAWRRR
“Dragon, it’s your cousin! Let’s go bowling!”
Theory Pop elf: yeeeeaaahhh!!
*meanwhile they are bowling with primal stones*
STRIKE!!!
get it? (If you don’t it is the lightning fulminus spell)
When I first saw the trailers I thought the elves were the dragons in like a humanoid form because of their horns.
I think I saw a couple of people wondering the same thing around the time of the first trailer and posters, I thought it sounded interesting!
I also thought they were dragons that shapeshifted into humans or something. lol
Doesn't help the fact that I pretty much grew up watching stuff like Nezha.
There may be some truth behind this O-o Think about it: that band Rayla wore was indestructible and there was no way to get it off *except* when Zym tore it off. The moon elves may serve the dragons directly and may have been sent by the Queen dragon herself to avenge the loss of her child and mate. Also Rayla said that her parents were charged with protecting the Dragon Prince and/or the Dragons' treasury...I think...I might have to rewatch it again to see if I'm getting the right details. It also seems the source of Thunder's power and the Dragon Prince is the thunderstorm contained in Claudia's crystal ball. After they contained the storm, Thunder's power was weakened and his essence was taken by Viren. But my question is why did Viren keep the egg rather than destroy it? Did he know the Dragon Prince would have to be born in the eye of a storm? If so, that would've been some *really* important info to give Claudia and Soren and just poor insight on Viren's part.
I'm just glad that your theory might have answered my question
I was wondering to myself "why elves only have four fingers?"
Post Season 2: Rayla and all elves have arcanum like all magical creatures. And Rayla's reaction to the chained up dragon seemed like genuine concern from a family member. She said something like its part of her being or something. So this theory is pretty well supported with these new events.
She seemed compelled to protect the dragon, there may be more to the relationship between Elves and Dragons than we know right now.
Sounds kinda of like the Dragon Age theory, in that Qunari are a race that sprang from experimentation on elves using dragon blood or some sort, it’s hinted at throughout the series, though we don’t truly know yet...
And now I really want to play through the Dragon Age games again!
with three seasons now being out, i hope that season 4 shows the elves with the earth and ocean arcanums 😭😭
hi, just binge watched all season one episodes, its an amazing series...what if the dragon queen can also take human form ? she seemed somehow with human attributes when Rayla was taking about her...
I think it would be pretty interesting if dragons could assume a humanoid form!
@@TheoryPop what if... plot twist! Rayla is the dragon queen in a human form!
@@catmomma4910
Na, pretty sure she is just an elf teenager. She clearly enjoys stand up comedy though and probably tried to be a comedian before getting drafted as an assassin.
As for dragons taking humanoid form, theres quite a few sources that portray dragons as shapeshifters (Word of Warcraft being one of them)
Not often you get dragons that can assume human/humanoid forms. Some D&D dragons come to mind. Be pretty cool if they did that in Dragon Prince too.
AWESOME THEORY!! Here’s my idea- Teagarden gets the fact that all elves have horns and five fingers they all COULD be replated to dragons. Earth elves can be related to earth dragons and so on. I also think that Moonshadow elves have a deeper relation to dragons especially because Rayla would protect Pyrrah even if it took her life, plus it says on the wiki fandom page that from a young age Rayla had deep respect and love for dragons so it’s probably a part of a Moonshadow teaching.
*regarding not Teagarden* sorry my bad
Interesting idea. For some reason, the elves of these show kind of remind me of those dragon-fairy hybrids I've seen from my childhood mythology shows such as Nezha than the typical western elves from fairytales.
They've definitely gone with a portrayal of elves that's a bit different from those of Tolkien! Thanks for watching!
The "jewelry" Rayla was wearing was an assassin's bond and since the assassination had been ordered by a dragon it makes sense that it would include a dragon design.
As for the hands and horns, it might be a sign that Elves and Dragons have a common ancestor much as all vertebrates have a common ancestor.
I didn't know that! That Fascinating!
I would have like to see more of Runnan.
Wrong, this applies to all elf races, moonshadow, sunfire, the ones that are connected to stars.
If you pay close attention to the elfs shown in the first episode, you see they have horns, all of them not just moonshadow elfs. I don't know about the four fingers but I'm 100% sure about the horns
Keep in mind this video was made before the show even aired, but yes, the same logic can be applied to all elf races. This focussed on Moonshadow elves because we had most information about them at the time of writing.
Ok so, these are all details that make a character a tdp elf, elf wars, four fingers, horns, markings, and a connection to an arcanum
Elfquest Elves have four fingers
You deserve more subs. You work so hard.
Thank you! I think I need to upload more regularly before I'll see any major growth, but hopefully more people will watch and enjoy my videos soon!
What if Elves are a hybrid of humans and dragons?
It makes sense.
Can You Do A Godzilla Theory? Like If Viridi Was Godzilla Earth?
It's something I'll add to my list of possible theories. I'm not too familiar with Godzilla, but I might take a look in future. Thanks for the suggestion!
Theory Pop no problem
What about the dragon born hus ruta
Your theory may be true but is not only the moonshadow elves that are strongly and highly connected to the dragons but the same goes for the other elves such like Sunfire elves and ect. For the all have horns and 3 fingers.
Yup, it likely applies to all the elf races. When I originally made this video, we hadn’t seen the other elves yet.
You researched a lot about dragons, but with didn't you just count the toes on the baby dragon that hatches in the last episode? Nothing would look more like the dragon king than his own son! 🤷
I didn't count the toes on the baby dragon because I made this video before the series aired! No one knew about Zym, or that there'd be a baby dragon on the first season, so I had nothing to reference until after I published this video, by which point it was too late.
You are right
Interesting🤔
Thank you!
not all drages are the same feet look at toothlees and then hookfang
what happened to the dragons face at the end of season 2
I wonder if that was the fireball the first Dark Mage cast at the beginning of season 1. It could be a burn scar?
@Theory pop, what about Sunfire Elves?
I imagine it applies to all elves. When I made this video, we had only seen images and clips of the Moonshadow elves, but this likely applies to the other elf races too.
Cool! I also would have like to see more on Runaan.
I think we might see Runaan again
I've watched the dragon prince and there are more elf types like there are one called Sunstone or Firestone elves and they too share features same as the dragons and it applies the same with the other elves
Yes, you’re right, more types of elves have been revealed since this video was made. And so far it looks like the characteristics carry over between the elf races!
@@TheoryPop exactly someone gets it but a lot dont even know what I'm talking about
SunFire.
its fun to see past theories but, that binding looks nothing like sol regem.
It’s more that the overall shape looked similar to the pose he was shown in in that original poster. The way his wings swept up on either side in that curved framing, with the sharp head raised in the centre just seemed to be reflected by the design of the binding to me.
@@TheoryPop Aaaaaha, didn't you say an uncanny resemblance, enfasis on uncanny.
Yes, also the word resemblance. They do look alike, not identical. The posing and shape are uncanny.
@@TheoryPop Do you need help?
I'm actually doing alright at the minute, thanks. How are you?
Foreleg, I believe.
I believe that the elves all have a ancestral draconic bloodline, but from dragons of the same primal source, so avizandum would be connected to the skywing elves . The dragons and the elves are connected deeper than just having the same primal source and their anciently related.
Maybe dragons were connected to all the sources originally, but gradually diverged into the 6 separate sources.
Yeah that sounds right. Or maybe they even founded or created the sources.
Ok lets think about this for a second. What if its not so much that elves are related to dragons but that four digits are common to critters from this world. They have other things in common as well, a connection to primal sources and such. Humanity on the other hand have five digits and no connection to primal sources, maybe they are not from this world...
Why didn’t u just say claw?
Because the claw refers only to the nail, not the entire foot.
Hey he used LoZBotW music at the start!
I did! It’s a remix by the UA-cam channel Video Game Remixes, they’ve got some good stuff!
Thank you and btw TDP is AWESOME
So elves are cross breeds of dragons and humans?
Not necessarily humans, there may have been some older precursor to the elves. All a hypothetical educated guess, really!
Maybe not humans but perhaps fairies. Like in this one myth I once heard about an immortal mountain fairy who married a dragon lord and bore an egg sac that bore their children.
Plus elves are traditionally based on fairies which would kind of make sense if they made something similar to that.
what he is an elf he only has 4 fingers!
Oh no, the secret’s out!
I thought they were dragonewts.
All elf have horns
Yes, they do
*sees title* umm please remember this is rated for kids, don't think too much about how that happened.
Lets be honest the reason elves have four digits, is because its easier.
A human x dragon = elves
are lizards related to elves?
... are rhinos?
rhinos are related to horses
... are horses dragons?
If you go back far enough, everything is related to everything. So yes, horses are dragons.
@@TheoryPop Yay!
So... Your only evidence for this is that both elves and dragons have 4 fingers and horns. Not a solid theory.
It’s presented as theory and speculation, not fact. But it was fun to make this video and talk about the idea of an ancestral link. Thank you for watching!
I think Elves never had primal power they got it from the dragons and we can see Callum and estan have some connection to the primal sorces I think Humans were born with primal powers but we're not able to use it and and but Elves used magic cuz they were taught by dragons how to use it and humans were never taught to use the powers by dragons and everybody thought humans can't do magic wow this changes everything we know
If you watched the ed of season 2 you would know that the Dragon is All rebel pronounced all regen. So watch Dummy.
Hi. This video was released in August of 2018. The FIRST season of The Dragon Prince came out in September of 2018. This video predates any released information on the name of Sol Regem. I am perfectly aware now of this information, having seen season 2 the day it came out. It's also Sol Regem, not "All Regen." I would kindly ask you do not insult me, and in future make sure you CHECK the release date of the video you're commenting on to avoid these situations in future.
