- It's no secret that the 2020 Toyota GR Supra picks up crazy performance from simple bolt-ons and a high-quality calibration, all on 93 octane. But for those looking to push further, we get one question regularly: which fuel solution offers the best performance?
So, we decided to answer that question with some hard data! In this video, we put our top three solutions to the test: 93 octane plus BOOSTane Professional octane booster, VP Racing MS109, and VP Racing X98 diluted to E50. And we've got to say, the results were surprising...

Love the informative, straight to the point content/data -- much appreciated! RE: Boostane -- I had very similar results in my C6 ZR1. I picked up 4MPH and shed .3 ET with no changes but Boostane and a bit spicier tune. I'm surprised it still flies under the radar.

I love91 pump mixed with E85 to E30 in my 97 cobra with a twin screw super charger it helps cool the air charge making more power than race gas

Ok! Great video, BUT the main reason why I am liking this video is because I am glad to see I am not the only one who had issues opening the can LOL.. I just cut the cap off and had to transfer boostane to a different bottle. Anyone else ?
Wow this is truly some of the best information on UA-cam. All the stuff I'd test if I could. Would love to do videos like this. One thing that would really be good to know is how the stock air box performs at this level. Would it lose 10 hp or 30 or nothing. I just can't justify putting that cheap looking low tech, very exposed, and probably no where near the filtration capacity as the stock box with afe dry filter
Thanks for the words, Clayton! And frankly, the stock air box with a drop-in filter performs practically the same. We noticed a 12whp maximum gain (i.e., hunting through the overlay looking for the best gains) with the MST Performance air-intake system, but the peak numbers were identical to the stock air box.

I have a 2021 with only a downpipe on Ecutek with a CAN e content sensor feeding the info to the stock computer. It’s making around 530hp and 600tq to the wheels. Even with 305 ps4s in 95 degree heat it struggles with traction until about 4th gear.
what sort of ignition were you adding to make use of the higher octane. you dont mention that. thanks

For Boostane do I add this stuff and on like a half tank and fill it or the lower the fuel level the better and should I keep my mhd on the 93 octane tune or bump it up to the 95 octane
Around half or lower would be optimal, the key is to add gas afterwards to promote a good thorough mixture.
such a opportunity missed to just use pump e85 mixed to e50 and see the results to race fuels. I understand not every one has the same quality e85, ours here in vegas is e65. But would love to see how just mixed e50 using pump e85 would've compared.

Thanks for weighing in, Thomas! Frankly, at this dilution level, we've seen practically no difference between pump ethanol and race ethanol. Given that, we didn't believe it was worth spending time on. We made a similar decision about doing an extra comparison using 60% MS109 and 40% ethanol.
@@NationalSpeedInc Thank you for the reply. I ordered a 55 gallon drum of e98 hoping it was going to be worth the little bit extra cost then mixing with the e65-80 that we get in Las Vegas. Usually E65. i guess afterwards i may just revert back to pump e85 if the difference is so minimum. Thank you again for the reply and great video, please keep it up.
Depending on your setup, you may see a benefit. For GR Supras at this stage of modifications, we've seen no difference.
If this Supra had an upgraded turbo would boostane/race gas be able to make more sense e40 I assume would tap out the fuel system faster than 100 octane e10 gas with a afr of 14.3 vs like 10-12 for ethanolblends
Yes, ethanol requires more injector duty, so it would tap the fuel system out faster on any turbo setup.
Is the fuel system maxed out because of the fuel price pump and cannot run above e40? Will a 2021 Supra be able to run a higher ethanol content without maxing out since it has a better fuel pump?
Correct! Our car in particular was maxing out at E40, although others are able to run E50 without issue. We're not sure on the 2021 model specifically, but we'll absolutely test that out when we get the opportunity!
Isn't e85 around the equivalent of 100 octane?

Good question, Craig! Since we only calibrate these vehicles with EcuTek, we can't accurately answer a question on BM3. We'd suggest you consult with your tuner.
@@NationalSpeedInc well spoke to bm3 and they said get the tank as low as possible and then fill with ms109 and you are fine.. Did that over the weekend and car preformed very well with just a "ots" tune. Looking to get a custom ms109 tune from Jeff Payn now

I think its engine horse power. Not whp. 523whp on stock turbo? That would make over 600hp on the crank with a stock turbo?
People are getting 520/550 whp with a hybrid turbo on pumpgas. Whats the point to get a hybrid turbo then when you can get the same numbers with different gas
