Many people are complaining that Dr. Dray gave no "real" tips or products for curing short/ spares/etc eyelashes... and yet, the tip was to simply: do nothing. And yet, that hasn't been explicitly stated in the beauty community by such a large REPUTABLE "influencer"/ source. It more reflects on our capitalist mindset of harmful products constantly being shoved down our throats. So, Dr. Dray: thank YOU for being level-minded, and honest with your views. She could have EASILY promoted a shitty eyelash product (like Etude house eyelash serum, lol) and made thousands of dollars. Yet, she didn't. We NEED more people like Dr. Dray in our community talking about serious subject matters like skin health (or in this case, hair healthy) to be more transparent, objective, and factually based. So again, Thank you!

2llkjsf100 Their complaints are valid because the title of her video misleads one to think she is going to share tips on "How to Grow Lashes". It would be more accurate or less misleading to title it "What won't cause lash growth" or something like that. Hopefully, you get the gist of what myself and many others are trying to say. I get why so many Influencers use "catchy" title phrases to draw in viewers but I don't appreciate it because it ends up wasting my time.
With that said, I do agree that Dr. Dray shares honest reviews and information from science based evidence.

Lo and behold once I got settled into my new job I noticed suddenly way less hair on my head and my lashes were falling out onto my face 3-4 at a time which is way unusual. Luckily now about a month or 2 later I’m no longer experiencing that fallout and my hair is slowly feeling back to normal. I had lash extensions pre-covid. During covid I obviously couldn’t get a fill in and the extensions eventually came out. The tech that did my extensions didn’t do them right so I had no lashes after. I used castor oil and it was a godsend! It doesn’t necessarily make your lashes grow super long or thick but the conditioning properties of it helped them come in and stay in. I still use it to this day and even though my lashes aren’t necessarily long, I don’t have lashes falling out like I did before use. I would definitely recommend castor oil for maintenance purposes and to heal any damage from extensions, lifting, etc.

I was thinking before watching the risk and dangers of extensions about not doing them anymore so after watching that video I decided to watch this one about how to go to eyelashes. Unfortunately she doesn’t tell you how to grow eyelashes, but she does tell you what not to do to prevent the natural growth and preserve your natural eyelashes. She does mention a proper diet, talks about biotin and says that foods contain biotin but does not mention what kind of foods contain biotin. Will continue to do more research

@@kohakuhunter I like the "leftover makeup" or "lived-in liner" look like when you only removed the top layer of makeup, and your eyes are still a little stained with what looks like a smudged liner over the top and lower lash line. You can best recreate that with a soft base in the crease + taupe creamy shadow blended from very close to the lash line (as matte as possible but there is usually a little shine to cream shadow) , it brings a soft definition. See the video I posted called "Lived-In Liner Tutorial with Celebrity Makeup Artist Tobi Henney", the makeup artist uses a smudged creamy pen liner but you can do that with any creamy eyeshadow (or even a powder one but not as easy to work with). In my case, I skip mascara. Looks more "lived-in".

As a chronic mascara wearer, I stopped, wearing only eyeshadow (usually), and I really do think my lashes have thickened and lengthened. The bummer is that I do still wish I had longer and thicker lashes, and am tempted to curl them, do lash lifts, etc... but I guess you just gotta deal 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hi. Just wanted to let you know I am using a 100% natural mascara that is really great. It’s by Suzanne Somers. Go to her website and check it out. I started using it because my lashes were breaking and getting sparse. It’s made a big difference. In fact all of her skin and hair products are really great. Suzanne recently passed away, but she did all she could to fight off cancer that started in her 30’s. I believe if she hadn’t changed her lifestyle she would have died much earlier. God bless her for helping women and men feel there best. Hope this helps you. ✝️

I have to use eye ointment at night because my lids don't close all the way when I sleep. This is a slippery petrolatum jelly, basically, not as thick as Vaseline. I have noticed that my eyelashes tend to look more lush when I use it regularly. Sometimes I use a viscous eye drop instead of the ointment, and there is a difference between the two as far as my lashes go. The ointment definitely seems to have a positive effect. I don't know of this is conditioning the lashes, but it is a welcome side effect.

I have pretty long, good natural lashes. I was wondering how to help they grow since a few shed off. They got all crooked and wonky recently and I had more fall off than usual. After washing my face I brushed them straight while damp so they'd straighten out and hopefully break less since they'd be less crossed... and I think it worked.

@@beyond50skin I’ve been using Lancôme cils booster (white) but will try the primer you recommend. Benefit they’re real is my favorite mascara. I was using Latisse for twelve years but recently stopped. When I learned about the risks of sunken looking eyes and I read in the comments of a previous Dr Dray video that it caused a hole in the back of someone’s eye, I decided to stop Latisse. I want to try an eyelash tint or perm. I will use Rapidlash or Revitalash occasionally for upkeep, although Dr Dray is not a fan of those growth serums either. It was hard to stop Latisse. I think I was addicted to the results. It provides results but I worried about the long term use of a prescription based product.

I do keep my lashes cleansed. I take Alive Women's Multi, because I know I don't eat as many vegetables as I should and I don't think we get the nutrients we once did, because of our soil. I notice such a big difference when I am in Europe and go to the farmers market every other day. As a child and through my teens I spent much of my time at my my great Aunts in Germany and we had a large garden & orchard. We used no pesticides and I seldom had colds or flu. Getting back to the eyes. I do use Jamaican black Castor oil and the Ordinary Peptide Lash Serum. I do think my lashes are healthier a bit thicker and longer.

I also used it on my brows (spots) and I can see little hairs coming in. I am continuing to use it until they are a little longer. I'm on the 5th or sixth week. I have a very sensitive eye area and allergies which means mascara is very unpractical except if it's water proof. But water proof makes the removal even more irritating. Classic eye makeup was the first thing i stopped using out of convenience and I substitute it with light glittery very transparent eyeshadows and eye pigments and highlighters. They are just as beautiful but much less irritating to wear and take off. And you still look glamourous and maybe even more youthful that way. Oh and my lashed grew thinker after I stopped using mascara of course, because I'm not ripping them out my accident with tools or makeup removers.
