Castor oil is amazing for lashes, brows and all around the eyes. It even greatly reduced my dark under eye circles and can help with dry eyes as well. There is an ophthalmologist on YT who talks about the benefits of it for eyes. Much safer than those eyelash serums.
@@buketisik7585 I just put it generously all around my eyes and bring it down onto the lashes pressing it gently onto them. It soaks in pretty quickly and doesn’t bother my eyes at all (which are very sensitive to many products). It’s actually helped relieve some of my dry eye symptoms.

I use castor oil for so many things. Not only for wrinkles, but hair growth, cysts, liver cleansing, etc. it’s a wonder and I’ve always got at least 3 bottles all around my house. So grateful for these informative videos
@@familyintheartic I had recurring breast cysts. I rub castor oil on them every night and haven’t had any for the past 6 years. I would suggest though getting them checked to make sure they are only cysts first (I had ultrasounds every 6 months) and be sure to wear a shirt that you don’t mind ruining. It’s messy and the oil will stain even when washed. ☺️
Hey omg. Are you talking about fibroadenomas in breast? 🥺 i really hope so. I have multiple ones and im so young. I dont want any more surgeries because i had 2 surgeries done already. Please tell me is it fibroads ?
Castor oil really does help! I've been using it every evening for about 8 months. I noticed that some of my lower lashes had disappeared in spots. I don't regularly use eye makeup and couldn't figure out why it was happening. The castor oil not only improved the texture of my lashes and brows, but the areas of gap began to fill in after a couple of months. It takes a while but it is worth the patience. Thanks for featuring this topic, Dr. Berg!
My grandmother (Jamaican) told me about this years ago, and the thought of putting oil anywhere around my eyes is scary. I wear contacts. So I declined. But darn it the older I get the more I realize that woman knows her stuff. Thanks for the info!
Castor oil had been used ancient Egypt, as a hair growth therapy. No wonder it's good for eyelashes too. Thank you always for the wonderful info Dr Berg 😊
I use a mixture of a tablespoon each of castor oil, vit E and aloe. Mix it up in a jar and use 2 x daily. I apply it with a disposible mascara stick I get at beauty store. I use the same stick several times and use the stick to stir the lotion. I only use it on my brows. I have sufficient lashes. I haven't seen much difference yet, but will try and repost in a few months.
@@Emy53 Sounds helpful. Thank you for the advice. I would probably use castor oil, vitamin E and coconut oil to protect the mixture from any bacterial growth.
I started using castor oil a few years ago for my eyelashes. I didn't see a big improvement ( I might have some sort of deficiency) but my eye wrinkles softened. Then, I started using it all over my face, im on my 50s. This oil is amazing because it gets inside the skin not leaving it oily looking. Over the counter face creams don't help me as my face still stays dry. I don't buy expensive face products when this oil can do the job
I really doubted this, but I added the Zinc to my daily regimen. It took several months, but my thinning lashes have now grown back lush and full. Thank you, Dr. Berg, for another great video.
I've been using castor oil on my lashes for years and they are thick, healthy and I don't lose nearly as many as I used to. It's great as a scalp massage too but if you're going to use it on your hair make sure you cut it with other oils (coconut, jojoba, etc) because castor oil is very thick and very difficult to wash out of your hair if undiluted.
@@LeeAus On my lashes I do 100% castor oil (only at night and days where I'm at home because it melts makeup). On hair I wouldn't use more than 50% castor oil - it cuts really well with coconut oil and it smells nice too! Thanks for this video, Dr. Berg. I apply a light coating of castor oil to my eyelashes and brows every night and have for years. Both my lashes and my brows are as thick as when I was 20 years old. I apply it to my whole eye area up to my eyebrows and just below my eye. I never have bags. It's amazing!
I’ve been using castor oil topically.. even though I’ve seen countless Dermatologists claim it’s not “scientifically sound” to do so.. yeah well so far I have actually noticed a difference, and now on to Zinc! Thanks Dr Berg ♥️!!
You are incredibly gifted at explaining medical terms to the rest of us. I totally agree with your stance on wellness. I listen to all your videos! Thank you So very much!
I used castor oil to regrow my eye brows. People think I use liner or powder to fill them because they are so thick now. I did a mix of castor oil and MSM (sulfur) powder. I kept it in a little jar and just used a make-up brush to paint it on. I also used it on my eye lashes. I use MSM lotion with a wand as mascara, just a small amount then I use a curler. I wore mascara once in the last 12 years and haven't needed any sort of filler for my eyebrows either.
Hi Dr. Berg! I discovered your videos about a month ago when I was looking for keto/IF information. You are helping so many people with your research, advice and tips!
Castor oil also smothers the mites that live in the eyelashes and the eyebrows. This is a significant reason it is so effective at restoring proper hair growth.
@@pashakowal2566 EVERY human being on the planet has microscopic Demodex mites on their skin and eyelashes. I saw an interview with a young farmer who had talked his father into farming without chemicals. They walked across the road to a neighbors farm and reached into the soil. It was gray and looked like ashes from a woodstove. Then they walked back to the young farmer's field and reached in and the soil was dark and rich and healthy. He said the first year they had less crop. The second about even. The third year over the regular amount of crops produced. Worth it for healthier food. Thanks Dr. Berg.

Thank you dr. Berg! Last night I noticed my eyelashes are nothing compared to what they used to be... in my early 20s people were always asking me if my lashes are not fake, and now at 27 I have short, thin, sad looking lashes. Seeing this video today made me very happy!
You're too young to have that problem. Are you using an eyelash curler? If so, I'd stop that. Also you might be too rough when taking off eye make-up or using the wrong product. And don't rub your eyes, ever!! I know 2 people who constantly rub their eyes (one male and one female) and neither have hardly an eyelash left.
Swimming in chlorinated pools killed my lashes as well as the hairs within my ears: slow loss of hearing became a much bigger problem as well as reaching my 40s!

Just rotate your head slowly to the right three times, then to the left. Then slowly look down with your chin to your chest three times. Then tilt your head back slowly three times. Then rotate your head to the right and left three times each. Do these for life. Anyhow, this woman is now 92 yrs. young with perfect hearing and eyesight and swears it's from following this regime. Yeh same! I don’t think it’s an allergy but I think it just drips down into the eyes no matter how little we use, and that’s why I stopped using it, also I used to use it as a makeup remover and removing mascara and it worked wonders.
@@istealurgf I can vouch for this one.... YES Consistency is key, because it's a long process. But, castor oil helps strengthen the lashes thus in turn creating healthy growth for longer lashes.

Castor Oil works. I use a washed Ex-Mascara brush, hot glued inside the Oil bottle lid, to put it on my lashes at night. Someone told me it works on eyebrows too, though I haven't tried that. 🤗 TFS this important information. Take care too everybody. ❤️🙂🐶

I stumbled on this on my own when my thin sparse eyelashes regrew after starting a “calcium/magnesium/zinc/vitamin D” supplement from a local store (taken on top of a multivitamin I was already taking). I was to the point where I had to purchase fake eyelashes because I had so few to put mascara on. Now I no longer have to wear fake because my lashes are as good as they were when I was a child now. So this is definitely correct information he’s putting out there from that book.

I'm a 75 year old guy.... I had a Condition from the time I was about 12 or 13 years old where I would pull my eyelashes out. I never knew why...but my eyes would water and get crusted up at night while I slept.... sometimes I would hardly have any lashes left at all and my eyes would be swollen and red. Somehow I managed to go thru nearly 60 years before I finally did something about it... and Strangely enough I now have long healthy eyelashes. About 4 or 5 years ago I bought some Castor oil and put it directly in, and on my eyes before going to sleep... within days my eyes started to get comfortable... not itch... and I haven't pulled one eyelash since. Remarkable !
Thank you Dr B! Just ordered NOW brand Castor Oil and a supply of lash brushes!! Very excited!! Have been supplementing with zinc throughout the last year and a half!! Thanks again!!🙏🏻
Your videos are always very informative and your explanations always seem to sink in where other videos don't stay in my head. I think it's probably because you have a very calming voice which is easy to listen to which makes the video a pleasant experience.
It's a folk medicine fact that using castor oil grows lashes! A couple years ago I was using castor oil as a moisturizer. I noticed my lashes and eyebrows were growing like crazy! There was no mistaking the results as it was profound! Thank you for mentioning this Dr. Berg 💗
i’ve been using organic cold pressed castor oil on my eyebrows and eyelashes for almost a year now with zero change in growth or fullness. the castor oil does make them soft though.
I tried castor oil years ago with no noticeable difference. Eyelash serums include prostaglandins and they did work amazingly for me. However they are expensive and recently I saw a well known plastic surgeon video saying these serums cause a loss of fat around the eye that makes them them appear hollow underneath, very aging. Then there is the rare possibility that your eye color can change. I like my baby blues. I will up my zinc and try castor oil again.
I love it! Natural healthy and non toxic, unlike most beauty products manufactured for women. I do not understand why, these products are allowed on the market! Thank you Dr Berg for your useful information, it's lifesaving! Literally. 💙
Thank you Dr. I have been losing eye lashes for a long time and I always associated it with my eye sight problems. I'm glad to learn the source of it and that there's actually a solution. You are God sent. Thank you once again
Yes, thanks Dr Berg, for buying a $250 book, especially since you can use it on the farm where you’re now living, and thanks for sharing! I appreciate it. About a year ago someone on Dr Berg’s site mentioned castor oil and to make sure it’s organic and doesn’t have solvents and hexane (petroleum products) in it. Well before this I was losing my eyebrows and eyelashes (not from plucking), so I started using castor oil and was already taking zinc. So while my eyelashes and eyebrows aren’t what they were when I was younger (probably because of over plucked them throughout the years, until I stopped about 20 years ago…) the hairs are thicker and softer and no longer falling out. So what Dr Berg is saying is true.
Its becouse has we age we lose our collagn from hair eye lashs skin and every were body hands nex and legs know one tells you a bout ageing, learnt it through doing nails and you shrink and lose musels in arms and legs,
Permaculture tip: Chop & drop your weeds for trace minerals etc. Or actually pull & drop, so you get their roots up if you’re trying to eradicate them, and do it before they go to seed. But if your not overgrown with weeds, just chop & drop. This puts trace minerals & nutrients back into the topsoil.👍🏼
🌟🌟🌟 I don't need to regrow my eyelashes, I just need mine to be longer and thicker. My sister got the long thick eyelashes that never needed mascara. In the meantime if you have anything different I should know I would appreciate it! 🙏🤔😊👍🌟
I would normally rush right over to Amazon and throw a recommended book into my shopping cart (and try to find a used, less expensive copy) but this time I’m going to have to pass! I love watching your videos daily and uncovering the mysteries of my health. I have had numerous issues with my eyes the past year. My eyelashes started growing wonky and I was getting eyelashes growing out inside of my eyelid. I’ve had to have my eye doctor yank out numerous ones which aren’t growing back. I also have blepharitis, on one eye in particular. I have tried everything including totally giving up eye make up. I just yesterday say your recommendation to use silver colloidal. Now why didn’t I think of that??? I have already started using organic castor oil (per your recommendation) instead of the ointment my eye doctor prescribed which didn’t seem effective at all. I have recently started taking your trace mineral. I do take zinc and a host of other vitamins, but I spent a long period of time during Covid stressing out and eating foods that were totally nutrient deficient. I am now doing healthy keto and IMF and trying to get my health back on track. All thanks to your guidance. Thank you for all that you do. You are a ice saver.

I started taking zinc daily last year to help build up my immune system and I've noticed my eyelashes grew longer. Fascinating. In my 40's I noticed slight loss of hair in my eye brows and my lashes got thinner and seemed shorter. I chalked it up to peri-menopause and hormone changes. I was just accepting this until recently when I was diagnosed with blepheritis. Some research has turned up a connection with my rosacea, demodex mites and blepheritis. Can't get any traction with my doctor. However, my eye drops have castor oil in them and I took ivermectin to help with demodex mites as people with rosacea may be more sensitive to the mites. No lash growth yet but as I listen to your video I think it's worth exploring just to see if I can add some more things to my positive lifestyle changes that would benefit my body and possibly make it easier for me to retain the eyelashes I still have.

For about a decade, I’ve been losing my eyelashes in clusters. At its worst, one eye had about five upper lashes. Doctors and eye specialists couldn’t figure out why. Castor oil applied topically and zinc taken orally didn’t help. Last summer, I was diagnosed with SIBO, and after two rounds of treatment, my lashes are back.

You can just apply eye contact solution with cotton pads on your eyelids everyday to get rid of blepharitis. No need for ivermectin
I use tea tree soap to wash my eyes for mites. Great result.
Seabuckthorn soap is expensive but good for roseasa
Oh my goodness- just finished with my mascara ;) - had no idea the nutrient factor behind lashes. I can't recall how you popped up on my newsfeed but so glad you did. I absolutely love your channel- you are wonderful Dr. Berg! I have so many videos to catch up on. Peace-out everyone!
Just a tip go outside when you have the castor oil on
Amd also eat food high in omega 3 like fish oil
Vaseline has done wonders for my eyebrows, eyelash, around my eyes and my lips. I put it on the areas after my night face routine..
Same girl but I don't put it around my eyes
But I could try if it will make a difference in my dark under eye
Thats PETROLEUM, JUST SWITCH TO castor oil
Be careful. Vaseline(Petroleum) is not natural.
@@pinchebruha405 vaseline isn't harmful????
@@mur8255 petroleum product..
In Australia mothers used to put Vaseline on their childrens lashes to deter flies. The children ended up with thick, long lashes. ♡
Vaseline is petroleum based and toxic.
Originally I lost my eyelashes from using bad glue on fake eyelashes. Many years, slow to regrow, so will try these great tips, thank you Dr. Berg!
Don t use any bad cosmetic SPECIOL from china🤦🏼♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏾♂️
This beard is EVERYTHING Dr. Berg!!😍
I've known about castor oil a long time ago but CONSISTENCY Is key. You have to do it everyday to see a change. I did not so my lashes stayed the same.
Can it work if one ha naturally thin lashes/eyebrows?
Dr. You are very real n transparent in your talks ...
I listen to all your videos n try to implement where it is required ...
Thank you so very much...
What treatment did you do for sibo?
@@LuvinLife72395 The first round was Metronidazole and the low-FODMAP diet. I tried to also take Neomycin, but didn’t react well to it. The second round was Rifaximin which I wish my insurance company would’ve approved for the first round. It was so much gentler on my body and very effective.
I’m glad you found your diagnosis and your lashes are back. 🙂
Were your hair or brows affected at all during the time?
How did you find out you had SIBO, can I ask?
@@_s.4 Thanks! My brows thinned slightly, but my hair wasn’t impacted. I’ve had digestive issues for many years. A hydrogen breath test (which takes three hours, after following a restricted diet) was used to diagnose the SIBO.
What is SIBO?
Thank you Dr. Berg! It’s definitely a deficiency of PgF2 however on top of that its popular in California for the last decade for the fake hair extensions. The problem is when the fake hair for eyelashes and any hair extensions are damaging and creates balding issue’s at the point of extension the natural hair so weak with breaks and it’s a nightmare to grow back. I’ve given everyone the castor oil remedy and it’s working with faithful use. Sending this on!🤩🌟💫🤷♀️
As a prior eyelash estension salon owner, I can attest to you that extensions damage your eyelashes. I would only suggest to wear eyelash extensions for no more than three months at a time.
Fascinating. I had gastric bypass surgery in 2000. Nothing but malabsorption and health issues since. Now at the age 57, I wish I would have known better…
I used castor oil in 1 of my 3 home births and I use it daily on my eyebrows and eyelashes, rubbing a little between my eyes and forehead to prevent wrinkles. I’m 46 and no one can believe how thick my eyebrows and lashes are 🤷🏻♀️
As usual Dr Berg ties it all together. The castor oil was recommended to me as an “old wives tale” but Dr Berg as always explains the science behind ancient wisdom 🙌🏼💪🏼🙏🏼💃🏻
How do you apply the castor oil to your eyelashes, do you put it at the roots on your eyelids with a Q-tip or do you put it on your eyelashes?
@@forestforthetrees1111 I use my finger and rub it on my entire eye from eyebrows down to eyelashes as if it were an eye cream. And then between my eyebrows and same on the forehead where wrinkles develop. I do it right before I go to sleep.
Totally works but I developed clogged oil glands around my eyes resulting in Chalazions 😕
@@LYoung-et2sg Ok. Are you using Dr Berg’s tips on healthy keto and intermittent fasting or not at all? These help clear skin layers from the inside.
So you have no frown wrinkles between your eyes as a result of castor oil?
Can you please do a video about Kratom and it’s side effects and maybe if plausible long term effects as well.
So glad I came across this video 😊 I've used eyelash extensions for years and have decided a month ago to give my lashes a break. I'm horrified how thin and short my lashes are so castor oil, here I come!😊
Any updates?
@@menotaiyeb4659 must admit, I never followed through. Bought it but never used it and can't now coz my extensions are back on. But, mentioning the oil to a friend with the most gorgeous lashes said she does it, every night and swears by it.
@@menotaiyeb4659 another update: I've been suffering from sinuses causing a nasel drip causing horrid coughing fits. The other night I massaged the oil into my sinuses areas under my cheek bones and above me eyebrows. For 2 days now I haven't coughed once and my sinuses are much clearer🤷♀️
Hunny I love the extensions and unfortunately addicted as well
Thank YOU SO MUCH DR. Berg!
I posed this question to you last Month & YOU Answered it for me.
I am forever GRATEFUL.
I have suffered with No Eyelashes or very Sparse Eyelashes for years & my Mom has as well.
I will definitely be doing this.
GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS!
