Recipe for Ganjang Gejang 🦀
Marinade ingredients:
- 1 red apple cut into slices
- 1 medium onion (sliced)
- 2 green chilli (sliced)
- Ginger (cut into small pieces; about 1 tablespoon worth)
- Dried red chilli, one handful
- 1 cup of rice syrup
- 1.5 cups of Soya sauce
- 6 cups water
- Dried kelp
Bring to a boil & simmer for an hour. Cool down the marinade before marinating the crabs.

Thks for sharing! Will try it next day. Btw, I will use inverted bowl in place of rock to keep the crabs fully submerged. The thought of using rocks (tiny torn holes scratched by the rocks and no guarantee that the rocks are super clean) just doesn't go well with me.

For those who are thinking of preparing this at home or even going to a restaurant for it, stop do some research about the risks you are exposing yourself to. Understand the risks before making the decision 😊Flesh eating bacteria is not fun at all.
Think its important that live crabs are used firstly, and Ganjang-gejang is a very common dish in Korean culture too
The marinate wouldn't kill the bacteria?
@@Wvk5zc Flesh eating bacteria, Virbrio, lives in seawater. It does not get killed by some soy sauce. Salt does not kill all bacteria.
