Good tips but you have the pad the wrong way up when you are putting the hot lid on it. It's suppose to be smooth side up (says instant pot) when it's hot. The grooved side is for storage only. Smooth side up makes it so only the rim of the lid will be in contact with the pad. I was confused at first myself so looked into it.
Hello! I have the 8qt Duo crisp + air fryer. When setting your air fryer lid down, the storage lid needs to be turned to the other side when hot. The way it was shown in the video is for storing purposes after it has fully cooled. I just don’t want your lid to potentially get messed up. Thanks for your videos!

Yay! I waited till the duo+ fryer was on sale, & it was my first instant pot! It has side fins that hold it in place and runs the electric from the main pot. Controls are on the front of the pot, as normal Yup, I keep forgetting to hit the "on" button 😁 (btw, love y'all ! keep doin' what you're doing)

Pro tip: Brown your chicken parts first using the Insta-Pot's saute mode, then transfer into the Air Fryer's basket for final baking. So much more flavor and crispiness with the skin/fat rendered beforehand!
Yes. I drop frozen chicken wings into the IP and pressure cook for 5 minutes to get that fat rendered. I them apply rub and hit them with the Air Fryer lid shaking it around halfway thru the 15 minute cook. And the chicken is already cooked so we're really just crisping up before tossing in sauce... or not tossing in sauce. To each their own!
The lid doesn’t work with all 6qt Instant Pots so be sure to check before you buy. I have the Max and it doesn’t work with it, there are a few others as well.
I have read that you shouldn't use cooking spray in an air fryer. I'm not sure what it is. But I have heard so many times they recommend using avocado oil in a spray bottle. Or even getting Misto Brushed Aluminum Oil Sprayer that is sort of like "cooking spray" without the chemicals.

When she does freezer meals she freezes them in a pitcher so they a shaped in the instant pot shape. Check it out. I love your channel for instant pot. : )
LOL I tried my lid for the first time last week. After I programmed it it automatically shut off.. I wasn't sure what the problem was until I realized after a few tries that I needed to push the "start" button!
I have an Instant Pot Duo 8 qt. I understand to convert to an air fryer I must use other brands which I have done. Not impressed with any. Hopefully Instant Pot will have one in the future. Good information video, TY

I have used the non-stick spray when making wings and they still seem to stick to the tray. We haven’t tried coating the wings in oil yet, which might help. Do you have any other suggestions?
About the lid 🤣 The air fryer will not start unless you have the instant pot pan in place. I was having a mindless moment and put the air fryer pan in and put the lid on. It wouldn’t start and I thought it was broke. I didn’t have the instant pot pan in place 🤣🙈
Probably not. The instant pot airfryer lid specifically only fits the 6 quart instant pot. They haven't even made one to fit the 8 quart yet. So because of that it makes me think the sizing is pretty specific still.
@@ronaldbeach8724 so it doesn't lock in to place, it just sits on top so long as your 6 quart pressure cooker is round (and not square like some are) then I don't see why it wouldn't fit. On the instant pot there is a spot where on the instant pot (on the back) where the pressure cooker lid normally locks into place) the air fryer lid is shaped to have it rest in that spot. But I think that's just where the little single to let you know it's sitting in place ) but that is outside the normal "circle" shape and the lid doesn't need to seal in place to work. So it should work in that case.

Might be a bit "late" on this but make sure the Lid you order FITS the IP Model you have !
I've read that using cooking spray like Pam can damage the basket. I bought an oil spray bottle for that reason and fill it with olive oil.

I found this out too, and aerosol sprays are banned now in our house. I now put olive oil on a paper towel and oil the basket that way.
Fresh is always best! Olive Oil in Spray Bottle is the way to go!

That is a good thing to know, I believe you can use cooking spray in moderation.

Yes, avocado oil is great to use as it has a high smoke point and makes an excellent choice for sauteing, frying and baking!!

I don't believe so as it is made specifically for Instant Pot.
It will only work on the Instant Pot cookers.
#3, i believe you're using the tray upside down. The way you have it in your video is for when you want to store the lid away.
