I have a 2006 330i and I just got my xtrons head unit and I finally got everything connected but the audio isn’t working. Been trying to figure out what the issue could be but the screen functions fine^^ need help but glad I found this video!
my old ccc screen menu wont show on the new screen. i tried all the options to making it work and now my original head unit wont output any video at all. so annoying
@@skilleragario to do the audio i had to switch the green cable in the wire box. im thinking of buying a new cd head unit or just paying someone to instal it for me cause this shit is just a whirl wind of problems.
I have one of these units installed on my 2012 e92, works great other than the audio. It keeps skipping when listening to music via apple car play, works fine with the radio. The head unit audio is directly connected to the oem aux input. Xtrons has been little to no help with this issue, wounding if anyone else has had this issue
I have the problem with sound that you mentioned. In the part of your video that is vital to my installation, the camera is on our back. Is it possible to redo and update that part? If you can do that your video will go from good to excellent!
Hi mate , that old screen looks like the smaller 6inch screen ? If so was there any issues upgrading to the larger screen , I have the same smaller screen at the moment and hoping the 8.8inch carplay is just plug n play .
@@xl2awz yes I eventually did, I guess I just needed to mess with the wiring in the back a little more, just kinda play with it. I’m just glad i’ve had zero issues with it
I’ve never been so confused trying to buy one of these🤦🏻♂️ if I have cic unit like yours is that the only way or can I put a unit were the radio is as well. I have a 2011 328I e90 base model sedan lci
I have a e92 with CCC i think you've found my problem, my car has a retrofit box everything works but audio. ive pulled it apart and there was no aux plug anywhere on its new wiring harness. Is hardwiring what i'll have to do to fix it? Chop off the female end on a AUX cable and splice it into the aux wires on the harness behind the radio unit? then male end into the port in the center console? Anyone know the pin outs is it the same as the video?
Weird. I have same issue with no sound. Moved fiber optics as needed. With Jack, i did have to use Jack cable provided in kit which had same connection (bolt) on both ways but so was the one from harness. So I did hardwire harness end with one end of Jack cable and the other end with bolt went in aux port. I still have no sound. Wonder if I need to provide any power from accessory cable to antenna as some people had these issues due to that. Dont know. Im so lost
Hey, did you manage to figure this out? Have exactly the same issue where everything is hooked up correctly, fiber optic cables moved, aux connected at the harness routed to the oem aux armrest port, but still no sound.. I’m also so lost 😂 Any help would be very much appreciated
Hello, I just installed the android to my e91, but carplay is not working.. What should I do? Phonelinking turns off after 5secs after loading it and there is no other apps in my android.
Hey mate, done everything, but getting a no signal on the idrive and no sound coming from speakers when playing music. But still getting the engine code ding tho. Im lost hahah

Hey what if your getting a no signal logo when you switch back to factory idrive system and no sound, but I can switch to the android unit interface use CarPlay music hd video and any app ?
Do you have an idea why my idrive controller doesn’t really work with the Android system? It works fine on the idrive screen but when you go onto the Android system it’s either super sensitive, glitchy or doesn’t work

You have to disconnect the Bluetooth and just keep CarPlay on and it won’t skip anymore

Is there a way to further lower the brightness? During the day is fine but at night even with the brightness at minimum it’s jus too bright.
