- My buddy Curtis who's a former crew chief for a MotoAmerica R6 team decided to install my new Translogic Quickshifter with autoblip on my R6. Just installed mine today. Best mod ever. Up and down shifts are so crisp and smooth!
Do you have to be over 6k to shift up and be on the brake for downshifting?
Over 3k.. brakes are necessary
@@PetroHead how do you enable it for 3k they told me 6k
That’s the default setting. Whoever you took it to doesn’t know what they are doing.
@@PetroHead they installed it on the default settings what changes do you need to make to change it to 3k.
Haha the shifts sound so nice now. Better than when you used to shift with a slight delay from cracking the throttle after changing gears.

HELP! I have quickshifter and autoblip but I am just confused where do I need to put the connectors on the battery both on black terminal or one on black terminal and one connector on red terminal?
Hello, if I drive in reverse gear, I have to exchange the connectors? Because now it's not OK
Would installing the translogic ECU smooth out shifts?
I have the OEM quickshifter upgrade from translogic plugged into my MT07, but half throttle mid range rpm shifts aren't very smooth.
Late comment, but is it the same install instructions for a 2006 R6? I know they're fairly similar.

Why was the shifter turned around? Will I have to do the same when installing? I have the entire kit with adjustable QS. Please help!
Are you talking about GP shift? You can leave your as standard.. I just made mine race shift.
Does this shift quicker than the stock GTYR quick shifter? Just curious why this quick shifter was chosen over the OEM one, besides this one offering an additional down shift (auto blip) option.

Does yours require a but more pressure on the shift lever using the quickshift and autoblip? Mine functions fine but seems to be more clicky on the foot and not as buttery smooth as when using the clutch.
I have no issues with mine.. but then again, no aftermarket QS will be 100% smooth
@@PetroHead ok I guess it's normal. I was just comparing it the the v4s which requires a lot less pressure and feels smoother on the foot going into gears.
Yea any QS that comes with a bike will outperform aftermarket. But the trans logic will allow you to set the pressure so look in the manual.

Hi I installed translogic blip system , but the oem upshift is working like 50% , sometimes it does up shifts sometimes it doesn’t , it is really annoying, if I buy and add translogic quick shifter will it work better then oem upshift ? Or what is the best solution?
You have to configure it. Ya it’s plug and play but set parameters on how you want it to behave. Don’t ask me how.. read the manual

Same here. But I do appreciate the operation and sound of doing down shifting by myself.

You're pushing over the edge to get it. Was going to get the tenere t7 but I'll get this first. Only live an hour from Chuckwalla. Cheers.

I'm having trouble deciding between an R6 and a good condition Daytona 675R. Does anyone have any opinions or tips about which would be a better choice? I am looking at both 2017 models, decently low mileage, good condition. I've heard mixed reviews about the comfort of each, the sound, engine, etc- also I will be riding it for fun on street or public roads, no track as of yet (although I'd like to at some point). Thanks!
You will have a much easier time finding a great condition R6 than you will a Daytona. In a few years, the R6 will be just as hard to find as a Daytona. Tough choice.
@@PetroHead agreed. I found a great condition daytona 675r about 10 hours from where I live, just hesitating before pulling the trigger on it because I'm not 100% positive I'll like it more than the r6 due to the back and forth opinions I've gotten.
@@dakoolguy111 The R6 has been around for 24 years and for the past 10-12+ years they haven't made a single change with it and you know why? Because it is perfect. It continuously wins races and the ONLY reason why its not being produced anymore is because of the EURO5 nonsense. Check out my IG for recent track videos. Otherwise, wait for the track review on the channel. Good luck with whatever you choose.. both are great as I've ridden both and currently have a 765 RS and love it!
@@PetroHead appreciate the help man. Can you comment on the comfort of the two bikes? Obviously they're not comfort motorcycles but does one have a more comfortable or nice riding position?

No R6 comes with a QS. It only comes with the ability to add one later.
@@PetroHead i got my 2020 R6 last month it came with one was pretty happy about it as i knew the 2017 was only for the first 500 sold as a bonus
@@JamieS1992 Yours must have been fitted at the dealer just to get them sold faster. Otherwise, stock out of the factory, they do not come with it installed.
@@PetroHead yeah i guess they could be emptying there shelfs since there no longer gonna sell the R6
had to wait 7 weeks for them to ship it from japan to australia the country had none in stock and only 19 in the shipment mine came in all sold before they hit the dock i hear

The R6 is a modders dream come true.. with 2-3K in mods, you can have one of the best sport bikes bikes out there.

It’s smooth as butter once you dial it in. Read the manual.
