When this song comes on the radio at work, I ALWAYS get out of my desk chair and dance. One day my boss walked by and saw me dancing. I said “Sorry, but Love Train is on!”
This is one of those performances where you just sit there with your mouth open. You know the song and have heard it hundreds of times. But to see them do it, and sound fantastic - it's magic.
Not bad for an impromptu jam session. ✌️❤️ the OJays said afterwards “ Daryl has so much soul, he should have an Afro.” Check out the Playing for Change version of this classic. 👍
Omg!!! I love this!!! This is my Happy Song! I was 11 years old when this came out and it puts me in a happy mood every time I hear. I could be having the worst day but when the O'Jays sing, I am immediately happy. God bless them for bringing so much joy and happiness to this world!
This brought a memory I forgot. In grade school we had to make something other kids could put Vale Valentines in. Mom and I were talking what to make. This song came on. I took a shoe box and made a train. Hearts for wheels and decorated. Your wife and you have a great weekend!
Hard to believe these guys still sound so good. We all owe a huge debt to Darryl for providing this platform for all these great artists, young and old.
Any other reaction I would be upset with the reactor singing and “corrupting” the original. Not you brother. You can’t sing with the best, but it is genuine and thus beautiful. Thank you. You be you.
Whenever I hear this song it reminds me of watching Soul Train on Saturdays in the 70s and the dancers dancing down the line! Daryls House is so great! I like when he does Footloose with Kenny Loggins.
I recommend that you watch the entire episode of LFDH with the O'Jays. As you said, Daryl and the O'Jays are legends, and they are from the Philadelphia area; their styles are so compatible.
Awesome! I remember this song when I was a little boy. My older sister had the 45 and I wore that thing out. Still relevant today. On side two of the 45 is the song Back Stabbers, another hit.
Katrina here, I grew up on this music! I was born in 1962, so the 70's and 80's were awesome. Even the 60's music was great. Never told you, but I got to see Elvis in person in Greensboro N C in April 1976! His performance was incredible! The band was awesome! Always have and still love his music!
Wonderful to be back at Daryl's house again and with The Fabulous O'Jays, I would suggest looking at "Playing For Change" "Song Around The World" as they did a FANTASTIC version of this featuring The O'Jay's as well as a multitude of artist and children doing a great job. A brilliant Channel doing great video's featuring artists from all over the world. Keep Safe Keep Strong
Daryls House at its best. I just want to be in the corner with some iced tea and dancing around. Every day. Just how good can music make you feel?? Look at their faces. That’s how good !!
I was a little kid walking to the corner store with my nickel, when I heard this for the first time and I thought MAN I LOVE THIS SOUND!!! 💘 Watched the full hour of this many times ❤👌🇨🇦
Thanks for this! My parents, especially my dad, loved old Motown, funk and soul. The O’Jays were a favorite and this is my fav song of theirs. Every time I hear it I think of him. 😊
Was going to suggest that one. For me, that song has to be my favourite from the entire session. But also, For the Love of Money, and I Love Music...all done really well. What a tight tight band.
Great video and even greater song! The message of this song could never be more important than it is today. It's time we join together and kick the crap out of hate!
Been waiting for you to get around to this! You took the words out of my mouth that this is the music we need now. I watched the whole O’Jays show a few times in 2020 when things were low. Music saves! 💖🚂
This is what music is all about . This song was played near the end of the night @ the bar me and my friends would go and when the dj played this song everyone went to the dance floor and joined hands and circle around . This was also a good tune for "the bump" if anyone remembers that dance . Thanks Jamal getting on my hip huggers bell bottom blue jeans and going dancing lol.
My favorites from my home state of Ohio. Love o' jays. Now that is great music!! Way ahead of their time right? They could put this out today and it would be a hit.
Daryl is a White Black guy.... hahahaha.... OJAYS are the GOAT.. and the band is American Musicianship at its finest... CLASS... Love Train makes me HAPPY
Among my very, very favorite Daryl's House Episodes. I would love for you to check out "Sweet" with Todd Rundgren Live from Daryl's House. Couple of Philly boys getting their soul groove on. I predict you'll thoroughly gonna enjoy it. No school like the Old School.
I always considered this song to be the first of those like the more recent US for Africa and England's version. Seems we'll always need these songs to get the message back in their lives. Too bad everyone didn't and doesn't always have it in their minds and actions...Anyway, thanks for much for the treat!
I Am The Embarrassing Ol' Lady who requests this and pulls everyone in to join The Love Train. It's amazing how people love to Get On Board. Even the Shy ones. It's a song of Love and Joy and brings People Together ❤️❤️
I finally found a current one to react to. I've responded to most of your show from a year ago. Just had to tell you, your the best and love your reactions .you make me so happy
I love the O'Jays. I remember when this song came out on 8 track. I loved it then and still do. I think a big part of the reason people got along better then than now is because we had all kind of music with this message of getting along with each other. I wish more music today would help lead the way with positive vibes like this. Music can help us to get past all of this we are experiencing lately. As someone who graduated high school in 79 I appreciate you broadcasting positivity of just being good to one another. Thats what I expierenced in the 70s. No matter what race, most of us treated each other in a postive way. I had friends who were white, black, asian, and hispanic. And still do today. Keep up the good vibes my brother. We can change the world if we keep positive vibes going. Even if it is just our personal day to day worlds or neighborhoods.

The O'Jays are Philly Soul. Daryl Hall is Philly Blue-eyed Soul. Excellent!
So very good🤩we need much More of this 👏👏👏👏👍
Except the O’Jays are from my home state of Ohio! 😉
They didn't become famous until they signed with Philadelphia International, the cornerstone of Philly Soul
They may have signed with a label out of Philadelphia, but they’re still from Canton, OH
@@johngault7076 Thats right I know right where.
Only Daryl's house can bring everyone together, music, laughter, love, and peace!!! ** i wish it was that easy***
AMEN
The O'Jays at Daryl's House is one of the best performances ever. They sound awesome.
The O'Jays sound as good as ever. Daryl is living his best musical life. Love it.
👍😎 So cool! I want to thank whoever gave you the keys to Daryl’s house.
Bring back the 70’s! Their sound may be a bit rough years later but it’s live and their harmonies are smooth🙂
When this song comes on the radio at work, I ALWAYS get out of my desk chair and dance. One day my boss walked by and saw me dancing. I said “Sorry, but Love Train is on!”

No egos. Just music. Just magic.
Hell yes! We are taking a trip to Daryl's house!!!!!!! One of the coolest songs ever!!!!!!
Not bad for an impromptu jam session. ✌️❤️ the OJays said afterwards “ Daryl has so much soul, he should have an Afro.”
Check out the Playing for Change version of this classic. 👍
I love playing for change
I freaking LOVE the O'Jays.
Omg!!! I love this!!! This is my Happy Song! I was 11 years old when this came out and it puts me in a happy mood every time I hear. I could be having the worst day but when the O'Jays sing, I am immediately happy. God bless them for bringing so much joy and happiness to this world!
The O'Jays still got it!! Thank you brother Jamel for sharing this greatness with us. Love your reactions.

No matter who went to Daryl’s house, it was cool.. I imagine saying as I’m walking out the door, hey hun, I’m going to Daryl’s house, don’t wait up.
Always love me some Daryl's House, good stuff
Hard to believe these guys still sound so good.

Jamal has a beautiful spirit
I've been blasting LOVE TRAIN for the last few months. 🎶🥰😁🇺🇸 I grew up with this music. Music heals. GOD bless us all. 🙏
Home Free's cover of this song is great, too. Glad the OJays are still making their music...
His review of Home Free's version came to mind while watching. I believe he wore a cowboy hat ❤️
@@mrsheatherteske I'll have to look again. Thanks.
@@george217 it was some time ago. Hopefully this link will work. He did several of videos by them ❤️ua-cam.com/video/1BBfJQZufFE/v-deo.html
I still think of this as the ultimate example of Philly soul.
Absolutely FANTASTIC !!!
I love these guys and this song. I had both the O’Jays and Hall and Oates CDs. Love Train is def the best song for our beloved world right now!
Can never get enough of Live From Daryl’s House! Endless talent !
Love, love O'jays and especially this song!
Whenever I hear this song it reminds me of watching Soul Train on Saturdays in the 70s and the dancers dancing down the line! Daryls House is so great! I like when he does Footloose with Kenny Loggins.

Love these guys, grew up watching them on Soul Train, great memories, they are one of the greatest in my generation, 60's/70's

Great song, great great song.
Greatest Love Song Ever Created.
Jamel, your participation just added to the greatness this video already rocked; keepin' it alive. Break it down!
Daryls House at its best. I just want to be in the corner with some iced tea and dancing around. Every day. Just how good can music make you feel?? Look at their faces. That’s how good !!
The O"Jays sing my favorite song of ALL TIME....I Love Music.
one of my favorites too :)) it's a great song!!
I LOVE IT JAMEL .. ANYTIME FROM DARYL`S HOUSE YOU CANT MISS IT!!~!! MOST EXCELLENT JAMEL
How many decades has it been since this beautiful song first hit the airwaves? And their voices are just as smooth and silky as day 1. I'm jelly.
Many years ago, my wife worked in a back in Cleveland, OH and the (original) O’Jays were her customers. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
This song = peace, love, and sweet harmony.
If I could leave a thousand hearts for this I would.... Best song In generations
Now where talking music, the o,jays love them, every single song they sang.👍❤❤❤

They sound better than the original recording - and that's saying quite something!
The Ojays still sound GREAT - Daryl's so soulful, he blends right in do well. LOVE these Daryl's house jams - Thanks, Jamel💕👍😁😎🎸🎶!

"other things" lmao!!!
Phill-y-delphia........O'Jays, Hall and Oates, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, Stylistics.....Thanks for spreading the joy!
They still got it! Great lunch time dancing 💃
Philly R&B (the ojay's) x Philly Soul (daryl hall) = Great Vibes
Jamel, you need to do “Use Ta Be My Girl” from Daryl’s…it is tight! Walter Williams sings it with a toothpick hanging out of his mouth 😎 - so cool!
Was going to suggest that one. For me, that song has to be my favourite from the entire session. But also, For the Love of Money, and I Love Music...all done really well. What a tight tight band.
Love Daryl Hall! Man, is he talented and not jealous of the great artists that join him. Of course, he can keep up with anyone.
Love these classic old songs. I also enjoy Harvest for the World by the O ' Jays. Its get up and kinda dance music . Fantastic !
I love this house! Once you learn that guitar behind you maybe you can join in the fun at Daryl's house!
👍🏾
I loved this episode! "I love Music" was really great too.
Loved this episode! You really need to watch a full episode 🖤. They are one of Darryls idols. They influenced his music big time.
Great video and even greater song! The message of this song could never be more important than it is today. It's time we join together and kick the crap out of hate!
You’d should live from Darryl’s house with Todd Rundgren. They do Didn’t I blow your mind by the delphonics, from Todd’s house in Hawaii. Best ever.
Somebody Like You - LFDH Joe Walsh aand Daryl and the band tear it up, best song imo ever done on LFDH. I'll only mention it a 1000 more times...
Yes! That one knocks me out. Joe Walsh nails that solo.
This is so smooth such a good vibe.. Daryl Hall is so dreamy

The original recording of this is written on my soul. Love this song!
Love this song so much, thank you don't stop dancing!!!!

Hall and Oates did a cover of this for the movie Earth Girls Are Easy
Love this!!! Thanks for checking into Daryl's House!
Such a poetic song fun and just a groove
This song is still awesome today. The lyrics are great!! My 15 year old grandson loves it as much as I do!
