You should look into Dr. Ellie Phillips. She was a practicing dentist for 40 years and has a lot of information on Xylitol and using it. I believe in her "old age" she founded and now runs a Xylitol company because of the dental benefits. From her I learned there are studies going back to the 1970s that show the wonders of Xylitol and dental health. She's written several books and is here on UA-cam.

I have been chewing PUR gum for years (the also have mints). It is a natural gum made from chicle, not oil like most other gums, and is sweetened with Xylitol only. It is a Canadian company. but the gum is actually manufactured in Switzerland. Lots of good flavours too.

Floride a BIG NO for me!

I've used xylitol for 15 or 20 years and it's fabulous! But, a couple of cautions. First, start with a lower dose and work up to the 5 or 6 grams per day over a month. The reason is that too much can upset your stomach and cause diarrhea. It's not harmful in any way... just start slow. The other caution is to be sure that the xylitol that you are using is 100% sourced from the US and made from birch trees. The xylitol sourced from China has been reported to sometimes be contaminated. Finally, instead of gum, I put it in my coffee, which I sip all morning. Then, I switch to iced tea in the afternoon with xylitol. Then, after brushing in the evening, I enjoy a xylitol mint before bed. Last thing... I used to have pockets in my gums that were 4 or 5 deep. They are completely gone. I use CloSYS before brushing to adjust the pH in my mouth, then brush, then Listerine Cool Mint. And, as mentioned, sip on xylitol most of the day.

I've been chewing the gum for a couple of months and my gums are finally growing back to where they shoud be.

Been using Dr. Ellie's Philips Zellies gum for 2 1/2 months and my gums are no longer inflamed. I can tell that my pockets are starting to go away and I have no tenderness anymore. I also don't have bad breath in the morning. I use Zellie's cinnamon flavor (delicious) and the mint ones when I run out.Dr. Ellie Philips is truly a godsend.

Thank you two for caring and truly wanting to help. My girlfriend see's a regular dentist and a specialist and has been doing this for years. Neither one of them has said anything about Xylitol. Now she has an infected tooth, upper front, and they want to pull it or do a root canal. I reckon these two guys are more interested in repeat patients and not into prevention. I ordered everything, from amazon, that Dr. Ellie Phillips recommended to restore the mouth to a healthy state. And now you ladies are saying that xylitol benefits other parts of the body, as well. My girlfriend also suffers from yeast infections. Hopefully this will help her in many ways. I'll keep in touch and let you know how it goes.

I live in Quebec, Canada and I have yet to meet a dentist that will suggest the use of xylitol. I am definitely getting on this and will spread the word. Thanks!

I’m so relieved this xylitol toothpaste I’ve been using on my daughter for 8 years is so beneficial to her . Her dad and I were just joking about how we couldn’t believe she had no cavities coming back from the dentist again. Unfortunately his parents spoil her and she eats quite poorly when she goes over there and it always worries us. Perhaps this xylitol has been saving her all the while.

I've been using Xylitol in my coffee for some time when I stopped using cane sugar. My dentist shut down during Covid so I skipped my cleanings for about 3 years. I finally went back recently and the dentist commented that I had very little plaque, just a little on the back molars. I didn't know that xylitol would help prevent plaque and cavities.

I discovered the benefits of xylitol years ago in a dental hygiene journal and recommended to patients for years. I'm now a registered dietitian and still recommend it to help with balancing blood sugar. Thank you for sharing the many benefits of xylitol that I wasn't even aware of.

Strengthening your TEETH. Xylitol can reduce a 50% level of plaque build up. Using gum, sweetened with xylitol after a meal was seen to be just as beneficial as replacing the sugar just as Xylitol.

I've started a regiment of xylitol gum (Pur, 2 pieces = 4gr ) morning, afternoon and evenings or (After meals). I also started rinsing with pure xylitol (from birch) mixed with water before going to bed. I mix a 20oz water bottle with 2tbs (1tbs=4gr) of xylitol. This usually lasts two to three days. After watching your content, I'll also finish with a small swig for gut health. Great video...

Dr. Peter McCullough just did a podcast on the benefits of Xylitol this week too!

I have a goal of avoiding the dentist by caring for my teeth wisely so I am grateful for this information, will have to get some Xylitol gum (without sorbitol)😊

  • @leraymond777

I am a dentist and gave Spry gum that has Xylitol in it to my son growing up which I believe helped him have very little tooth decay. I recommended using it. I have also heard the Xylitol gum by Pur is good too.

I tried it and it is wonderful. Teeth wither, bad breath gone, anti inflammatory, no dry mouth not even I the morning. It is a miraculous product

  • @shawngates953

I followed Dr. Ellie advice and I couldn't believe the results after using Non gmo xylitol. Within three days my gums stopped bleeding from having gingivitis. First time in years I am seeing a healthy mouth. I cant wait to see my dentist reaction on my next teeth cleaning visit!

I've been chewing xylitol gum but didn't know the effects were cancelled out by sorbitol - which mine has in it. Thanks for making this video.

Isn't it interesting that in Europe, they have used xylitol for decades? Yet in the US, not a peep. My hygienist never mentioned xylitol until AFTER I informed her that I started using it after meals. THEN she became very knowledgeable about its benefits and how it prevents caries. What a joke of a dentist and hygienist... I am disgusted that they don't tell people about it because they would lose CASH$$$$$ and patients...
