This week we’re following up on our experience so far with our recently installed mini wood stove & our new Starlink internet (“best effort”) speeds & power consumption. We share exactly how many watts our Starlink draws from our solar panels, we preform a random speed test, and we share what we’ve learned about warming the tiny house with a small wood stove thus far.
We’re winging this thing called life & really don’t know what we’re doing half the time…luckily there's plenty of room onboard to learn alongside us as we navigate how to live a comfortable yet simple life off the grid-- AND on the water!! 🌊

greetings from raleighwood and semora, north cackylacky. just got SL best option and found your other video on setup. almost identical connectivity issues with rural internet here. surrounded deep in the woods, doing a tree mount installation in about 85-100 foot tree. watched a few of your other videos. id recommend a CARBON MONOXIDE detector for your boathouse, especially for night time use.

We’ve got a carbon monoxide detector! One of our very first purchases even before a lot of the furniture 🙌 had a near-miss situation as a kid so I don’t mess around anymore about those.

I just noticed that one house right in the middle of your cove. Do they have to be lit up at night for boat navigation safety?
Yep, all structures on moorings have to have mooring lights on at night for navigational purposes
