      Tactical Rifleman will AK47's work with this and the spinning targets are expensive. I think it would be cheaper to make one with a axel from a bicycle and jerry rig a peice of steel for cheaper

    One of the only times, especially online, that someone has described what is needed for firearms training for actual gunfights. Usually it's front sight focus only, or target focus. I've even heard to never break front sight focus to look at the target. Gunfights are not flat ranges and nice to see specific content focusing on this. Great video!

    I’m an Aussie female so I know I’m not you’re target audience but these are awesome videos. From a civilian point of view there is nothing sexier than a man who can protect his family. Curious to know if Karl’s wife and the others wives get out in the range for practice or are proficient shooters also assuming you all have multiple arms in your homes?

      Michael, if you are shooting ANY of MGM's products with a traditional defense caliber pistol (9, 10, 40, 45, 357 Mag or Sig, .41 magnum) the targets are guaranteed for ever. The targets are AR500 steel, BOLTED to the hub so you have no welds to break. If you have a warranty issue, MGM pays the shipping, and you don't have to send them a copy of your receipt because you bought it 17 years ago. These targets have been HAMMERED in the MGM Ironman 3 gun for years, and they always work. MGM didn't get to be the largest portable target manufacturer in the country because by building crap! Buy once, cry once!

    Combat Shooting. FINALLY! At least there's one moving target. The target MUST MOVE!! It's so redundant to train for "practical or combat shooting" at stationary targets. Yet that's what's done 96% of the time. Any one knows bad guys won't stand still for us (or LEO, military, agents...etc.). And even if you're jus going to the range for "fun" why not be training with moving targets. It's more challenging. Whether or not the idea was to train for a real shootout that civilians hope will never happen...usually never does.
    But, instead of only using a "360 spinning target"...make one that pendulum's left and right. If you could put a computer chip on it so that it could randomly do left/right patterns (e.g. lt, rt, lt, lft then rt, lt..etc.) Not expensive to do. Not hard to program into a simple program. Odd no one has made such a target yet.
    Or a target attached to elastic bands that will move left right up down unpredictably. If really cheap...dig a ditch some one can walk left and right in holding the target above his head SAFE ...he can move the target up down diagonal...mix it up...train at night too..add strobe lights, other gun shots...sudden..to distract...

    • @TacticalRifleman
      @TacticalRifleman  6 років тому +1

    • @TacticalRifleman

      The MGM Ironman used to run these at long distance. Also, lots of smaller matches still do (big shout out to the Montana Squad). I was running a Leupold MK-IV on my SR-25 in one match. Very doable with most optics.

    My local club had one of these spinners and banned it because houses in the subdivision behind the range were finding large pieces of bullet fragments in their yards! When the target face was at 45 degrees, rounds were being sent over the berm. Not a safe design in my humble opinion.

    • @TacticalRifleman
      @TacticalRifleman  2 роки тому

      Great design if you own the whole range fan, behind the berm ( required by military). However, even if you don’t, you can build a plywood “shelter” over the top and sides of the target. The spawl is low-velocity and easily stopped.

    I am Surprised that you guys don’t advocate using an anatomically correct target, the other day I saw your video that showed the vitals on the target I thought that was great you know for me it has to be for combat shooting anatomically correct
