- I had to disconnect the battery a few weeks ago and after I reconnected it the rear defrost light would blink once I cranked the car up for a minute or two and none of the controls would work for the heating and air until it stopped. This is a video of how I found a real quick fix for 0$!
It's a very good video. I've been having these issue for a long time now my ac light blinks and some the days it's blinks and then doesn't turn on. When u say cut off when it was blinking and the on that means u turned off the van and then turned it back on. Thank u sir.

Thanks brother.. Gonna try with my issue that started when I changed the battery. rear defrost/a-c actuator clicks as well as my rear defrost blinks for 1 and a half minutes then goes off and heater works again..

Update. ( 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan.
At first I only disconnect the battery. Somehow I didn’t think connecting those two wires together will do anything. Had the battery disconnected for an hour. After connecting the battery the issue was still there. Well, so I disconnected the battery again and put those wires together for about 15-20 min. After reconnecting the battery ( negative first) the issue is gone!!!! I started the car and the motor blower worked immediately like it was, before changing to new battery. Hope it helps.
Second update. After some time I started the car again and the issue is back 😭
@@AB-cp7dg I think rarely it can happen if there is a problem with your system that you have to take to a mechanic to have them to hook it up and diagnose it. But I would try doing it again just leave them hooked up for at least 30 minutes this time. Let me know if you try it and if it works. If it doesn’t you might have to take it in to have it diagnosed. I did mine for fifteen and it started back doing it again but when I did it for 45 minutes it never came back on to this day. Hoped this helped. God Bless!

So what you do its connect both + &- of battery for 45 min?
My rear defrost blinks and "gate" notification stay on my dash.Will this method fix it?
