      Head low or in british rugby its called " cheek to cheek" that means the cheek of your face goes to the cheek of your opponents butt. Hands come in with the head underneath the arms, so that when they reach to grab your head for a guillotine they will grab your body and wont be able to tighten it.

      This is a wrestling channel mate wrestlers don't really need to takedown bigger oponents because of weight classes. That being said I've hit this on guys with 20+ kilograms more than me and it was no struggle.

    I've heard people say planting the knee slows momentum and should not be done.
    I was taught to shoot in with my knee planted but still keep momentum.
    How do you shoot without planting your knee?
    And is it ok to plant the knee?

      I'm 14 and I'm excelling at wrestling start off with simple moves like snap down the double leg the single leg I'm wrestling at 180 and I'm 5"11 I'm a guy despite the name. It's generally easier for girls (in my experience) to pick it up because they usually are a lot more flexible. So first comes technique then comes physical training if you are a lightweight try to work on strength you'll most likely naturally have cardio if you're a heavyweight work on cardio. And the basics win matches not flashy stuff. Slams are light years ahead of you right now. Unless you have back control then go off on em if you're strong enough but DONT try a German suplex it could seriously harm them like kill or paralyze harm them just pick em up and slam em down if you get the chance but like I said stick to the basics double leg duck unders single leg and crab ride

      +seth hepworth Best move to use is most likely the high-crotch step across. If you are shooting for the left leg, get locked up with your opponent, then throw his right(your left) arm up and shoot down to his leg. Throw your right arm like an uppercut and wrap that arm around the leg. Now here you have to be quick or it will screw up the whole move. While you are standing up, put the leg in your left arm and put your hand on his upper calf, pull, and drive him down to the ground.

      No, having knees way beyond your toes helps strengthen them and brings more fluid to the joint, so it does the opposite.

      When you sprawl, put them in a headlock and do a gator roll from there. If you can't get a double, just go for a Barsagar or Turk.

      Ricky Turner what's that?

    • @sidneybillups3102
      @sidneybillups3102 8 років тому

      Make sure you keep a good low stance, this makes it a little harder for them to penetrate and shoot. Sprawling is a move you do once they are attacking your legs. Basically you throw the legs back away from your opponent attempting to clear your legs from the attack.

    Whenever I shoot they always sprawl what should I do?

    • @brucesteinel
      @brucesteinel  9 років тому +21

      Wow Ifer Most likely you are not in the right position to shoot, such as being too far back, not level changing correctly. Another possibility is that you are not setting it up correctly. I would imagine it's a bit of both.
      It's all about progression. Work on the move in steps on a non-resisting opponent. Then you can speed it up. Than he can start to give resistance slowly, 25% then 50%, etc. Hope that helps.

    • @yoteslayerisawesome6
      @yoteslayerisawesome6 9 років тому +6

      +Wow Ifer Make sure yours arms are in tight when you shoot. I had the same problem as whenever I shot my arms would be way out and they sprawled before I could wrap my arms around their legs. And try doing a re-shot, when your shot fails back up quickly and as soon as your opponent gets back in his stance shoot in and take him down. Always keep your feet driving too, but under control.

      Lol he do it wrong, this is how you do it; you put your hand right under his ribs and take over the lower center of his body, go down in 95 grade. Pull him up and throw him with his back and head landing on the ground. The hit and damage will be like a brick of 20kg cement fall from 10ft right in your chest.

    Can someone tell me why do you drive your opponent sideways, not backward?

    • @timothydwyer4906
      @timothydwyer4906 2 роки тому

      You turn sideways because that is the opponents weakest part of balance at that moment. If you shoot and he steps backward with his back leg(left leg in video) and you try to drive backwards he has a chance to use back leg to plant and stuff your shoot. Easy demo is have your partner step back like in this video and push on his shoulders from the front, pushing him backwards. Pretty hard. But if he is in same stance and you move to his right side and push only on right shoulder he will begin to fall quite easily to the left. So by driving opponent sideways you make him lose his center of gravity way easier. Hope that helps.
