- Today I take the scraps from the 50 pounds of Turkey Breast that I did earlier. This makes a very nice powdered stock.

You are so smart - I’m always impressed! Last week I “whined” for the rehydration of the turkey breast - you had a plan all along. THANK YOU!
No, Thank You! I should have mentioned that I was going to do the rehydration in the last video
Great video John
I always enjoy your freeze drying videos
God bless you my friend 🙏
Thanks 👍
very good, I just had some turkey and gravy that I freeze dried last year, thanks for sharing
Fantastic
I've got 3 chicken whole bodies to clear out of the freezer and just got my freeze dryer! Thank you for the great tips!
Thanks for the video john!!....saw that cranberry sauce, thought I'd tell you went to Walmart a couple weeks ago, they had that cranberry sauce on closeout. 20¢ a can, bought 48 cans!😁😁
I hope mine still has some!
I’ve got 2 loads (8 trays) of turkey bone broth in the freezer, planning on starting 1st load in the morning. I simmered mind for almost 24 hrs. I put in onions, carrots, and celery, and just a small amount of vinegar in it to help draw out the collagen from the bones. I was going to can it, but decided to FD. 😊
Sounds delicious!
That looks like it was one heck of a lot of work. What a nice reward for it though.
It wasn't really a lot of work. a lot of time boiling etc. but not much work really
I also got 2 turkeys at .50 pressure can 1 and roasted 1 for freeze drying. I haven't tried freeze drying broth. I canned mine
Fantastic bargain!
I literally am canning chicken broth right now. I was putting my excess in freezer bags when your video started. Now I'm gonna put the excess in my freeze dryer instead. Great idea! Thanks John😊

Sorry replied to the wrong comment, LOL. Thanks for watching and enjoy your FD chicken stock!
Yum! My Gram used to eat her turkey sandwiches with jellied cranberries on them.
It's the only way to go, Yummy!
I love having freeze dried broth on hand! It is by far my most commonly used freeze dried item.
Cool!
Great video, John
Thanks 👍
They have measuring cups with spouts that skim the fat off for you I love mine 💕✌️
Those sound great! I have so many gadgets in my small kitchen but I bet I get one of those, LOL
I have always canned my broth. I love freeze drying but broth just doesn’t make sense to me at this time. I like the idea of having some freeze dried to add to dishes for flavoring. I cook broth in my 28 quart turkey roaster for 48 hours. I get 14 quarts from that.
Thanks for watching
Can you put the stock in jars and freeze it Love your show
Great video!! I freeze dried leftover turkey but I canned the stock. But this is another great option.
I like to have a mixture of formats. I often can meat with broth and use freeze dried vegetables to make a soup or roast with vegetables.
Do you ever freeze dry carrots? Those that I stored in a sealed jar turned white after a few weeks. I am not sure if the Mylar packaging would be a different result.
Have you ever tried any knorr noodles in freeze dryer?
I have not, but i do like them!
how long will the turkey broth last in the jars please?
