Korean mayak avocado with quail eggs, cucumber, pear, and cherry tomato
Mayak means drugs in Korean. This dish is so addictively delicious. I added quail eggs to add extra protein to the dish. The quail eggs go well with creamy marinated avocados. Crunchy Bartlett pear add extra sweetness to the dish. This can be a great side dish or appetizer. Enjoy!
Ingredients
3 avocados: chopped into big chunks
1 bartlett pear: chopped into big chunks
8 cherry tomatoes
10 quail eggs
4 oz English cucumber: chopped into chunks
Sesame oil
Cooked white rice
Sauce
1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup honey
1 tbsp roasted sesame seeds
5 green onions: chopped
1 red chili pepper: chopped
1 tbsp vinegar
*use ripe avocado that is more on the firm side.
*you can substitute honey with other sweetener of your choice such as agave or maple syrup.
