That's good to include information about when the footage was shot, exactly for those reasons that people want to get ideas about current conditions. One time I asked Kraig Adams about it and he just snapped back like "dude, it says right there when I posted it". Maybe he didn't realize people can post videos from years ago if they with to. Oh well...
As a teenager that lives in Alaska this video really helps people grasp the level of beauty that Alaska offers, hatchers pass is one of the best places to go. I highly recommend you go glacier hiking as well that is an amazing experience.
What a great rendition and great memory of a place at which some of us spent so much time. The hut still looks the same. What so many people often refer to as 'back in the day', some of us MCA members would spend Thanksgiving up there by skiing in and hauling small sleds, loaded with food including a turkey. As you may know, the 'Bomber Glacier' got its name because some military aircraft crashed on that glacier and is still there. One one occasion I pulled one of the light bulbs, took it home and hooked it to a battery. It still worked, which is amazing after a 'landing' like that. Keep up the joyful reports : - )
Very difficult and challenging trail this time. But what an awesome views, what a cozy place the Mint Hut and what insane the lakes up there. Color of the water is completely gorgeous. Thanks for sharing your video adventures. They are totally amazing. I love them. A Big Thank you!!
I'm so sorry about the wasp stings! Thank you for everything you went through to make another amazing video. (Also Katherine you were amazingly stoic for having just got 3 wasp stings. I could not have done that!)
Thanks for letting us watch your adventures! Enjoying all the sights! We even have a drinking game for your videos. We take a drink every time you all say insane, pillowy, gooey, and some of your other catchphrases. Safe travels. Cheers!
Absolutely beautiful! Brought tears to my eyes seeing such beauty. Thank you so much for your dedication to the channel. The videos just keep getting better.
Wow, what an adventure! And the video quality and resolution are incredible! So gorgeous and breathtaking!! ❤ oh, no, the wasps!! Hope you feel better soon!!
@@AdventuresofAplusK omg, we were talking about the allergic reaction when we saw that!! That would have been so scary out there in the wild! It looked like there wasn’t anyone else nearby!! Glad all was ok, although I’m sure it was painful! Three stings, yikes!
Hey guys, thanks for doing such a great job in documenting everything. Since we were up there about a month ago, our next trip will include the hiking spots you've explored. Please be safe and have as much fun as it looks in the videos.
I think this might be my favorite video of yours I've watched, not just because it's Alaska, or has amazing views of the mountains and lake, the mud falls, the epic tent spot, the wasp stings (sorry about that!) - but everything was so well edited and shot, and the sound design was perfect. Be well you two
You guys are such an inspiration...you two remind me of Kara & Nate...I also follow super-cute couples Samuel & Audrey, Eileen Aldis (travels with her beau, Marc) who also have an enthusiasm for travel...as always, thanks for taking us along your adventures...love from Texas. 💞🚐⛽
Thanks for taking us to places most of us will never get to go. This was an intense one for sure, looked like many obstacles to overcome, but you made it! Bravo!
Ha, I've been down in the lower 48 trucking this summer. Born and raised in AK. Wanted to see some country down here. That last comment about the rest of the U.S.. Nothing! Nothing compares to the epic grandeur that is Alaska! Another awesome video 😎
I thought you guys were in Ireland 🇮🇪 it was so green traveling to the trailhead. The mint hut 🛖 was so cool. Kona was so wiped out by bedtime. Sorry 😞 bout stings I'm sure the cool water helped. ❤️ the we done strut when you got back to van.
Loved this portion of the trip, I'm a few videos behind. Spending my Sunday catching up! Adam getting in a fight with a tree was the best part, LOL. The wasps sounded not very fun, glad all was well!
Wow! You guys are becoming quite the cinematographers! That tent setup was The Bomb! What great weather you are enjoying while in AK. You have to try Backpacker's Pantry Crème Brûlée! It's a trip; delicious and even has a crunchy sugary top crust - no torch needed. I also love their Pad Thai with Chicken. Freeze dried backpacking meals have come a long way from the 80's. You do an amazing job. 🥰🤩
Ooooh ya we'll have to try the creme brulee! The Pad Thai with chicken is our #1 favorite! They didn't have any everywhere we looked in Anchorage which is why we had to try some new ones Thank you and thanks for watching!

We’re glad that you didn’t have an adverse reaction to the wasp stings. Apply ice, take ibuprofen, & apply an antihistamine ointment (Calamine, Benadryl, etc) to the sting site.
Thanks for sharing this well done video. I live here, but am only able to hike 3-4 miles anymore at my age. I've never seen the end of the trail. So, I much appreciate your sweeping visuals. I might add that Hatcher Pass is an extraordinary area. The hillside meadows are strewn with many kinds of wildflowers end of June/mid July is peak bloom time.
Filming while going through the wasp sting situation brought great depth to the video- knowing that things don't always go as planned and seeing you get through it I think helps others get through them as well. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication!

@@AdventuresofAplusK I know she enjoys watching your videos like everyone else. When I moved from Florida to Alaska, I had to drive by myself but I shared my gps location the whole way with her, and several others. Normally I say to myself that I could absolutely do ALL the big hikes that you guys do......this one....NO WAY......how you guys hike mile after mile with completely wet shoes and feet is a bridge to far for me! Major props to both of you! You guys are tough.
That is beautiful scenery guys! I thought at first it was Colorado until I seen the title. Now I gotta look it up on a map.. keep it up! Safe travel's..
Adam and Kathryn,...we had 50 push-pins in our USA wall map (of the "Lower 48") before your Alaska trip. We had to buy more push-pins after watching your Alaska videos. There are 10 new pins around Anchorage alone! THIS is one of them 05:47. Kathryn, glad to see you handling the wasp event with outward calm, cool resolve.
16 to 18 miles? You guys are such troopers! What a beautiful hike. Sorry about the wasps. I’m betting the skies are so full of stars up there! Great video! 👍
Another incredible video! Bummer about the wasp stings! I got my first sting (on my neck!) a couple months ago just sitting at Rodeo Beach after a hike in the Marin Headlands and it HURTS! I was a big baby about it, so you're a dang trooper being as cool and calm as you were after 3 or 4 stings! Can't wait to see where your next adventure takes you!
Thanks for the great video! Sorry about the wasps, they are so painful! I was impressed that you walked through the water while holding the camera at arms length. I probably would have fallen in the water and taken the camera with me! Take care on your up coming adventures!

Thanks, Michael!
Wow, that was quite an adventure. Awesome scenery. Sorry about the wasps but it goes to show that you're out in the wild. Can't wait until the next video. Thanks for sharing.
Quite the adventure is right! Thanks!
That trail was wicked! Kudos to you guys for toughing it out! Sorry bout the bee stings, hope you’re doing ok.
All good now! Thank you and thanks for watching!
Love your videos Adam and Katherine! Thanks for sharing your adventures with us. My cousin and I have planned a trip to Washington next year and we have used some many of your videos to help us!! Thank you!!
That's awesome! We hope you have a great trip!
Be sure to check out our website as well. We have guides and itineraries for many of the places we have visited!
Thanks and thanks for watching!
I love your videos! So stunning. Nicely edited!
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Hatcher pass is one of my favorite places to fly the drone. You got a lot of awesome shots 👏
We LOVED droning there! So happy that many places are legal to fly in Alaska (and less people around since we don't want to annoy anyone)!
Normally I say to myself that I could absolutely do ALL the big hikes that you guys do......this one....NO WAY......how you guys hike mile after mile with completely wet shoes and feet is a bridge to far for me! Major props to both of you! You guys are tough.
Haha it was all worth it!
That is beautiful scenery guys! I thought at first it was Colorado until I seen the title. Now I gotta look it up on a map.. keep it up! Safe travel's..
It was so gorgeous there! Thanks!
Beautiful scenery and a far from ordinary hike. Sorry you encountered some wasps. I hope it didn't bother for too long. Thanks for the epic views.
Thankfully they weren't too bothersome! Thanks, Steve! It was quite the adventure
WOW; just keeps getting better; forget the mud and the wasps; hey , where the ice cream 😎😎😎😎😎👌👌👍👍
We had a nice ice cream reward a few days later!
@@AdventuresofAplusK You guys certainly deserved it after that mess.
Great video! Thank you for sharing the adventure! (from NE Indiana)
Thank you, Edward!
We're glad we could share some more spots to check out and inspire you to go and see them! Kathryn is all good after the stings now, thank you!
16 to 18 miles? You guys are such troopers! What a beautiful hike. Sorry about the wasps. I’m betting the skies are so full of stars up there! Great video! 👍
To be honest we didn't stay up late enough to see them! 😂 But I bet they were nice! It was a fun adventure!
Holy cow the views did not suck 🤯 what a beautiful spot!
You got that right!
Thank you for your dedication- walking up the rocks and then having to go back for the camera. I would have been as scared as you after the wasps ugh!
Gotta get the shot 😂 Thank you!
If only there was a zip line to return to your van, that would be the bomb, I mean rad, no let's go with epic!!!!
haha that would be clutch!
On the neck...ouch! Kathryn walked through that cold water shortly after so she thinks that helped a bit. Thanks, Chrisy!
Thanks for the great video! Sorry about the wasps, they are so painful! I was impressed that you walked through the water while holding the camera at arms length. I probably would have fallen in the water and taken the camera with me! Take care on your up coming adventures!
Luckily it was a more calm section! Thank you!
Awesome place, Kudos for trekking through all that mud on the way up. Hope you knee was alright.
This trail had its highs and lows! But amazing all the way!
Awesome content. thank you for sharing. have a nice day!❤👍
Thank you! You too!
