Here's something you could have pointed out: Beast is the only one who apparently ages while enchanted, unless Chip was a newborn when he cursed, or Mrs. Potts somehow gave birth as a teapot.
Basically what happened is the Enchantress's curse froze them in a time loop, and nobody ages. At least, that's what I think, and it also explains why days seem so repetitive to Belle, because it really is the same day again and again. It also explain the Beast being an 11-year old plot hole.
I think only the beast ages because he's the only living creature there while the others became objects. Maybe chip was a boy before the curse but their time stopped when they were cursed. Only the prince aged because like I said, he's the only one turned with flesh.
No, it's Adam. I was at Disney World a couple of years ago and I asked one of the people who worked there if any of the characters that had actual names other than their title (ie. the Evil Stepmother, the Beast, etc.) and the only one that she could confirm was the Beast, whose actual name is Prince Adam :) I hope that helped!

How do you define prisoner? I define it as someone who is UNABLE to get out of a particular place by force (such as how Maurice was kept in a prison). Belle could have gotten out at any time. In fact, she did just that, and she did so because "I know I promised, but I just can't stay here." Of course, she was unlucky to come across the wolves, but that's just bad luck. After all, Belle didn't come across the wolves when she came to the castle in the first place. So no, I don't think Belle was a prisoner.

The beast was cursed at the same age as when we see him return to human form, this explains why chip is still a young child. All of his subjects were turned into non living things so they couldn't break the curse. When Chip becomes a real boy again the missing chip on his rim is gone as it returns him and all others back to the original human state, even the broken furniture will return to their original human form. The donkey in Shrek comes from the story of Pinocchio, he was one of the boys that got turned into a donkey and sold.
Robert Cortez they say he was 11 because the deadline for the curse was the beasts 21 year and in "Be Our Guest" there's a line that says "10 years we've been rusting". There are just a whole bunch of plot holes. It's for kids they didn't think anyone would notice.
You could argue that since he was turned into a cup it prevented him from aging or slowed the aging processes if he was just a baby when they got cursed.

They were probably children of the other servants. Chip did have multiple brothers who were also turned into teacups, as briefly shown and mentioned in the movie.
In medieval societies like that, you were born into a life of servitude to the nobility because that's what your parents did. Also, you know, no such thing as child labor laws. The real life equivalent is sad enough. Also as they repeated several times the Prince was 11 when everyone was cursed.
Even watching this movie as a kid (love the movie, no one can convince me otherwise) I always thought the enchantress was the villain. I mean seriously she punished everyone with a horrible curse because a kid (spoiled prince) sent her away. Lady. He was a kid. Calm your spells seriously.
To be fair, he didn't know she was an enchantress, he thought she was an ugly old woman, an old woman who would have died of exposure because he wouldn't let her in the castle. The curse made the beast immortal, and prevented the servants from aging. The teacup was born a boy but turned into a teacup when his mom transformed. Beast would have lived forever as a beast had he not found love by 21, that was the curse. So he would age, but not die.

so one of my psych classes spent an entire class talking about how this movie isn't "Stockholm" because beast always gave belle the power, including letting her leave. instead this movie is psychologically messed up for other reasons. beauty and the beast raises so many questions. why does nobody know there is a castle a 10 minute walk away. why did belles dad get lost trying to find it again? when she leaves to find him why can she not just go back and why doesn't the beast go get him? where is the beast's parents? when the witch shows up why does he answer the door not something a spoiled rich prince would do when he has so many servants and we haven't even got to the sequel (which I haven't seen) but it's supposed to take place when her dad leaves to him being safed so a day and it's Christmas why is there indication of this? was chip a little boy when he was turned or was he born a cup also how lucky a name almost as lucky as scar. if the villagers broke down the door to the castle why does belle then have her horse kick it open later? did someone fix and close it. There's so many more but let's not forgot the scene of the dude laughing as he pulls the feathers out of the duster which is definitely a person since we see her at the end that scene is all kinds of messed up.
I agree with dramaminedream22 about the distance and it being cursed. And I want to add, that Scar was originally named Taka, but he gave himself the name Scar at some point. Chip might be a nickname as well, after he became a cup, who knows.
1- Ten minute walk? It took her father almost a whole day to get there judged by the weather. But I see what you mean since the villagers didn't take much time to get there in the mob scene. 2- He got lost because he sucks at following maps and he went out in the snow and got sick. If I had pneumonia and was super old I'd probably suck at going somewhere on foot too. 3- She could have gone back, but she was healing up her dad. The beast is probably paranoid about going out in the open and afraid of how her dad will react considering they didn't leave on the best of terms. 4- Okay, that one I'll chalk up to disney missing/dead parent syndrome. Like Belle's mom. 5- As to it being Christmas, that took place after the main movie. What, you want a time machine so they can go back and change the first one? The one who cursed them was the creepy steanger. Also, it's not uncommon for them(during those times) to have an unexpected guest and everyone treats their guests kindly since they themselves could be a guests one day.

Actually I think it did bring some inanimate objects to life because a lot of them moved without speaking. (like the plates) Only the ones with faces (aside from the dog) were human-transformed objects.

To be fair, he didn't know she was an enchantress, he thought she was an ugly old woman, an old woman who would have died of exposure because he wouldn't let her in the castle. He was willing to let an old lady die which angered the enchantress, not saying that her punishment was fair to everyone involved, but it was understandable that she'd be annoyed.

The curse made the beast immortal, and prevented the servants from aging. The teacup was born a boy but turned into a teacup when his mom transformed. Beast would have lived forever as a beast had he not found love by 21, that was the curse. So he would age, but not die.

beauty and the beast raises so many questions. why does nobody know there is a castle a 10 minute walk away. why did belles dad get lost trying to find it again? when she leaves to find him why can she not just go back and why doesn't the beast go get him? where is the beast's parents? when the witch shows up why does he answer the door not something a spoiled rich prince would do when he has so many servants and we haven't even got to the sequel (which I haven't seen) but it's supposed to take place when her dad leaves to him being safed so a day and it's Christmas why is there indication of this? was chip a little boy when he was turned or was he born a cup also how lucky a name almost as lucky as scar. if the villagers broke down the door to the castle why does belle then have her horse kick it open later? did someone fix and close it. There's so many more but let's not forgot the scene of the dude laughing as he pulls the feathers out of the duster which is definitely a person since we see her at the end that scene is all kinds of messed up.

1- Ten minute walk? It took her father almost a whole day to get there judged by the weather. But I see what you mean since the villagers didn't take much time to get there in the mob scene.
2- He got lost because he sucks at following maps and he went out in the snow and got sick. If I had pneumonia and was super old I'd probably suck at going somewhere on foot too.
3- She could have gone back, but she was healing up her dad. The beast is probably paranoid about going out in the open and afraid of how her dad will react considering they didn't leave on the best of terms.
4- Okay, that one I'll chalk up to disney missing/dead parent syndrome. Like Belle's mom.
5- As to it being Christmas, that took place after the main movie. What, you want a time machine so they can go back and change the first one? Maybe he wanted to deal with the person himself because he was angry he was interrupted. He clearly has a bad attitude at first.
6- He was a little boy. This is pretty obvious.
