Bridgerton is a universe where Mozart and Pitbull are colleagues 😭
OMG 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
😭😭😭
Yes Pitbull with a powdered wing writing the classical masterpiece CULOOOO!!!!!
Mozart wrote a song called "Lich mir im Arsch," so it might not be that much of a stretch.
You are sad it is 😂😂😂
it's like a reverse Disney. Everyone's father is dead instead of their mother
there's lots of dead parents in disney.
Hey, Father issues are a Marvel thing.
@@nikytamayo Except they are dead. And not all of them were bad.
@@kennethramirez7450 Howard Stark was a bad boy, but he wasn't a bad guy!
cries in Mufasa
"Poundtown Abbey" says it all. lmfao
omg exactly
Perfect description
We call it Boinkerton but I may have to start using Poundtown Abbey! 😂
I can't believe "going to the modiste" didn't make it to Starring
Or at the very least explain what exactly a Modiste even is?
Yeah and cressida' sleave
@@colinneagle4495modiste is a very expensive dressmaker.
@@whatduck943 Oh yes, I just thought that they would make a joke about what an obscure word it is to be constantly used on this show
@@colinneagle4495 especially when in each episode there's always going to be at least one mama shouting "Time for the modiste !!!" to her daughters
To be fair, talking while dancing was historically accurate, young people were not allowed to be alone, so that was the only time there were able to talk semi privately.
Especially during menuets
Oh good, at least its historically accurate.
@@zztopz7090 well that part is, not vouching for the whole series 😂
“Inserts himself? Inserts himself where?” was one of the funniest scenes of this season 😆
I didn't love all of this season, but the increased presence of Penelope's sisters and her mother was top tier. They delivered top comedy in every scene
True, they stole the show for me@@katelijnesommen
???: Why must I be punished over and over again
line delivery of the season
The Featheringtons were the stars of the season, I loved them. But that indicates how poorly the other characters were treated, too.
"Your wombs are likely dry and juiceless" is absolutely the most diabolical quote ive heard all year😂
She really is a terrible mother in the show.
I think she said dry and useless Lolol
@@retroreceptionist7571 She did not. She enunciated and likewise stayed on theme...dry/juiceless.
Dry and juiceless? Am using this and no one can stop me.
😂😂
Gotta love that Colin went on his Grand European Tour, including France, during THE NAPOLEONIC WARS
I'm assuming every country in the Bridgerton universe is in a state of peace and also has heightened opulence like its version England.
@@abbeyBominable123 I've been pretending it's set in an alternate 2020s were the British aristocrats Regency LARP for some reason.
It clearly exists in an alternate history where all those oh so troubling shenanigans in other countries are not going on. Seriously though. If George marrying a black woman changed the status in race relations enough to create a prominent black nobility, then other major changes have to follow. For instance, how does that effect the slave trade?
@@Ceares Pretty sure even before Queen Charlotte's time, relations between races are wayyy different from how it is in our universe. The level of racism in Queen Charlotte's time must've been much better than how it is in our current life rn. That's why by the time Bridgerton takes place, everyone is pretty much blind to each other's races.
@abbeyBominable123 well several million africans had been shopped across the Atlantic to be slaves and the justification given for it was they were inferior. Racism was different but would struggle to argue it was better.
"Insane Ball Anxiety" had me wheezing.
Not to mention "London's answer to TMZ" and "Lady Perez of Hilton" were TOP TIER. 😂
It was the fact he said "T-M-Zed" Rather than "T-M-Zee" that got me. Propa Bri-ish!
Please say "This is going to ruin the tour. The WORLD tour!"
“They’re the Starks if they only got murdered socially” lol
That one RRR scene made this video so much more epic. I wonder how many people got that reference. The RRR honest trailer is the best one ever made.
Yes!!! ❤❤❤ RRR is the best!
I know, I was caught off guard and then immediate started thinking "wait, they,re the same time period?"
That reference was sooo good 😂👏 and the drama of RRR works with Bridgestone beautifully
the brow lifting sound..... I can't....🤣
“Traumatized by watching his father get “My Girl-ed” “ is my favorite line. (“And starring” is many lines)
There needs to be a Derry Girls honest trailer!
That show is utterly ridiculous
any chance we get an Honest Trailer for THE BEAR??? chef is standing by
i'm hungry
Heard
The Bear is VERY good, but in a way where it's VERY unlikely to ever got spotlit on Honest Trailers. It's gorgeous, grounded and, essentially, chaste. See also: Why The Wire is ALSO never going to get an Honest Trailer.
@@Volvagia1927 There are a lot of good movies that had their honest trailers. Something doesn't have to be ridiculous like Bridgerton or Rebel Moon to get a trailer.
Fingers crossed
fun fact i learned this weekend, Shonda also wrote Princess Diaries 2 so Princess Mia could canonically be a descendant of someone in bridgerton.
Wait, what? Now I have someone else to blame for Michael and Mia not being endgame in the second movie...
Great Britain and Genovia aren't friendly nations so unlikely.
@@MoLoh81 for the debut of Chris Pine, I don't really mind...
@@georockstar09 I have never agreed with a comment more.
I almost choked on the apple I was eating over 'colonizer cosplay'. This is going to be a good one.
"Sorrows, Sorrows. Prayers, Prayers." Was my absolute favourite 😂😂😂
I wanna incorporate that into my everyday vernacular.
Note to self: Never watch Honest Trailers while drinking any beverage, you never know when an RRR reference will have you spill your bev all over yourself in a decidedly unladylike manner! 😂
RRR ❤
I just woke up watching this Honest Trailer and that RRR clip made me full awake
Then next time spill, in a ladylike manner 😂
when was the RRR reference?
Adding that into the video made my day!!
Lady Perez of Hilton. I'm dying.
😂😂😂😂
Somebody needs to fact check this but I think this is the longest Honest Trailers has spent time on tropes.
Bridgeton is almost entirely romance tropes lmao
Last time I checked, Avatar: The Last Airbender held the record for 9:11 minutes
Update:
It broke by The Oscars 2024 for 10:58 minutes
1:10 "for the people who MATTERED"😂😂
I haven't seen the show, but I've now added "Sorrows, prayers" in my lexicon and none of you can stop me.
It's the RRR/Bridgerton crossover we never knew we needed . . . and I am down for it.
Except very different time periods.
@@georgeprchal3924 What do you mean? It's only like 100 years off. That's barely a drop in the bucket for historical(ish) romance.
@@Rystefn the Napoleonic Wars were different.
Inserts himself? Inserts himself where??....that scene never gets old😂😂
6:44 Wait, is she wearing a corset against her bare skin? Because that's... um... not how you do that.
Everyone always gets corsets wrong in TV and movies.
I'm fairly certain that they didn't even wear corsets during the Regency era. The outfits were rather scandalous
That's Bridgerton for you. This sort of thing is fairly constant and grating, it's designed to play to modern stereotypes, not historical truths.
All of the costumes are deliberately atrocious from a historical perspective.
@@gellisbarber1786 right? Like people can't be bothered to wear a hat?
“Dearest screen junkies…”
I want a petition to make said speech the common tongue yet again.
The sound of the Duke’s brow 😂
😂😂😂😂
Now that is some epic cocking action!
I didn't realize how much lemonade was in this show! 😂
The 'Dread Pirate Roberts who got work done' was COLD. Accurate, but COLD XD
I feels like I watched the whole thing in 10 minutes.
...and it was still boring. Except for the naked guys, of course. 😅
I heard on Twitter that a good explanation for all the colorblind stuff and anachronisms is that it is a long-running regency ren faire type deal where they *really* get into character and that makes the show so much more entertaining than if it were played like an alternate universe or whatever where the British had participated in the slave trade despite Queen Charlotte being black.
This is also a Shonda Rhimes production. I think she has a reputation of diverse casting and/or including it in some way ex. Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, etc.
Whatever indifference I had towards this show has been replaced by disinterest.
More of a Downton Abbey guy myself. Hoping to see an Honest Trailer for that when the third movie comes out.
They said they checked out when cousin Matthew died.
I would love to see an honest trailer for every A24 movie.
the 'bewbs' never failed!😂😂😂
Somehow the most intense Honest Trailer yet.
FINALLY!!! I've been wanting to see an Honest Trailer done for Bridgerton forever!!!!
Can you say, "Now Varley! The Bugs!!!"
"I burn for you... but that might be the gonorrhea talking" 😂😂
They brought back the "Beeeeeeeeews" joke. Humanity is healing
we're so fucking back
I must make haste, and watch this video!
You forgot the 500 times someone picks up a glass at a ball, takes a sip, and sets it back down for someone else to come drink out of 😂
How is there still not a Shogun trailer??? get it together guys!
Because the show is so amazing that Honest Trailers will barely find a way to ridicule the show
That RRR tie-in was FANTASTIC!
well now you have to say, "Why hasn't anyone fetched me some lemonade?"
“Watching his father get My Girl-ed” 😂😂😂 I’m crying laughing.
Glad I'm not the only one old enough to get that reference.
The amount of pain he sounded like he was in when he uses that method
You should make an Honest Trailer for _Beverly Hills Cop_ before the 4th one comes out!
I’m crying at the gun cocking sound with the eyebrow 😭
I love the idea that Bridgerton and RRR inexplicably occupy the same universe...
„that face has seen an ipad“ 😂😂😂
I might be the only one who thinks that the actor actually fits more then many others 😅
@@saranemcova5448 i actually don't have an opinion on that, i haven't even watched all of bridgerton haha, but i thought that was such a funny way of putting it. 😂
Can someone explain me the meaning of the expression? English isn't my first language.
@@ttenesirow8463 More or less, it means that someone looks too modern to convincingly act in a period piece. People also call it Smartphone Face
@@AnimeOjou ohhh!! Thank you! And... now that I know... I honestly kind of see it. 😅
I have said it before, and I’ll say it again: Highlander! For the love of God, please!!!
I wish honest commentaries was still going on😢
It is going on..but in a different channel called Fandom
@TheLivingThanos it's not. It's been cancelled for months
@@stevenlannister184 Yup just checked..they haven't streamed since 6 Months...IG it will come back soon
Back in those days, they knew how to fit and tie corsets so that they didn't inconvenience them. Too bad we can't seem to figure it out, at least according to pop "history".
Plssss not the Dredd Pirate Roberts reference 😂😂
Okay, after that intro, I want to see a show which incorporates the following together
1. Bridgerton
2. Zombies
3. Superheroes
4. Dragons
And yes GOT sorta had all of them, but they are most memorable for number 4.
I'd be there for a Bridgerton/The Last of Us crossover. Or even a stupid zombie show like "Walking Dead".
Please say in your epic voice: “You wanna drive through the woods and dump THAT out?”
I enjoy Bridgerton the way I enjoy trashy summer beach novels. And this was - well, Platinum. Gold doesn't begin to cover it.
I never noticed the lemonade 😂😂😂
I did in Season 2. I'm like is that ALL there is to drink??!!
Funny coincidence of the title choice (Poundton Abbey) because the woman who played Prudence Featherington is the daughter of Jim Carter, who played Carson on Downton Abbey
Please do an Honest Trailer for Battlefield: Earth (2000).
Do Percy Jackson and the Olympians honest trailer
"Boosoms"
Man I just can't. Gold.
The Simpson clip is AWESOME!!!
I knew they were just WAITING to add the RRR animal scene in something! bravo.
SORROWS, PRAYERS!
Those sniffs were absolutely diabolical oh my god 💀
Nagging works
The examples for 'Dead dads' just kept going and going 😂
All the apologies in this show make me think of Ruben Studdard singing ‘Sorry 2004.’
Please say, “It’s over 100 degrees on the Nebraska prairie today.”
"That face has seen an iPad" 😆
11:55 omg I never realized the lemonade!!!
How have you not made a How I Met Your Mother honest trailer yet????
good question
5:28 London's answer to TM"Zed".... flawless.
HOW THE *HECK* DID WE GET A BRIDGERTON HONEST TRAILER BEFORE AN UMBRELLA ACADEMY ONE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!??!?!
*The show topped The Witcher's record of being the most-watched Netflix series ever within a month of its release. Netflix subsequently renewed the show through a whopping four seasons after releasing just one.*
Piggies like Slop
Season 1 was great
Love how he does a British voice in the beginning at 0:49, and the voice at 1:07.
Omg the bit about India made me LOL
GOOD BURGERS LEAVING NETFLIX SO YOU BETTER DO AN HONEST TRAILER IN MEMORIAM
I dare your writers to do something with family dramas like Everwood, Friday Night Lights, Parenthood and /or This is Us.
you know something isn't for you when even the honest trailer doesn't do it for you
I was hoping it would do it for because I've been curious about it but very hesitant because I'm a stickler for historical accuracy but I just can't do blind casting during an era when slavery was still a thing.
Yeah the staring section was a pain to sit through.
Especially if you never watch the show, you have no clue what are they talking about
Is it bad that I watch these to see what the shows like before watching the real thing?😂 Like, I know it's a joke, but on the whole also completely accurate 😂
To all my fellow 80s babies out there trigger warning 4:16 “Where are his glasses”😭😭😭😭😭😭
All those apologies, and then they keep on behaving the same way... I guess they ARE British, so that checks out
We’ve always been like that!🇬🇧
Love that Danielle is back! Even if there is no commantries anymore
Oh yeah, I see her name in the credits! Do you know why she was gone?
I think they cut a lot of stuff (and staff) @@Arawn505
I didn't need to read the credits. There was wig commentary.
@@Arawn505I think the strike was part of it.
Please say, "R. Kelly started the first streaming service." 😄
Please say, "Attia of the Julii, I call for justice"
This is the BEST Honest Trailer - ever! Thanks so much!
Poundtown Abbey! 😂😂😂
How is there still no honest trailer for American psycho ? 😅
I really need Danielle to do a commentary for this
2:39 The Doctor Who episode that referenced this show had classical covers of Billie Eilish - Bad Guy and Lady Gaga - Poker Face too lol.
Whoever came up with "Poundtown Abbey" - take five minutes off, you've earned it.
Seeing Honest Trailer upload fricken' BRIDGERTON and pausing the video at the beginning to give me motivation to finish my essay before I watch. This is gonna be such a great reward!!
Jesus. The apologies are like Canada on STEROIDS !
I didn't realize how many time they say lemonade. LOL
A lemon party, oh my :D
God I never connected it to Gossip Girl but it literally is 😂
Remember Netflix had a chance to show how messed up the 1200s to 1800s was but opted on historical fiction
