  • We visit SUNDERLAND and find that YOU HAVE to MAKE A WEEKEND OF IT | TOURIST VIDEO UK 🇬🇧
When Jane said we have to make a Football Tourist Guide to Sunderland you are going to love it. I have found so much to do. OI have planned a great itinerary so we are staying over to fit it all in. I have to admit my initial reaction was Sunderland? are you sure? But boy did I enjoy this one.
There was so much that I filmed I struggled to get it edited and up on UA-cam within a week or so and it got put on the back burner and then I was getting so down with Blackpool going down without a fight and Mick McCarthy football that I completely burned out with the Football Tourist Guides altogether and couldn't face making them anymore.
It was almost like a complete and utter 'writers block' and it is only now that I could face working on this. This is the FIRST of what I am thinking of as my "LOST FOOTBALL TOURIST GUIDES" from last season, there are some more to come so make sure you have the notification bell on to alert you to when I have posted up a new one.
I think that I have been able to start editing these again and have gotten my mojo back because the football has been slowly getting better this season and Blackpool are pushing for a playoff place so my mental state of mind can face the work involved in putting these together once more.
Hope you enjoy this and thanks to all of you that watch these you really mean a lot to us

Sunderland is alright, not as bad as people say it is.
Yes the centre is lacking a little but i seen loads of regeneration going on when i was there.
They have lots of landmarks , more than newcastle has, which i was suprised about as you only ever see newcastle bridge on tv from up there.
Also sunderland has a top level seafront which i did not know they had, with bars and restaurants and it was very clean.

Best pier in the world Roker, we also have car and bus rallies in the summer at Seaburn, and hopefully going to have our own 'Elstree studio' making blockbuster films. cannonball rock only place you can find it in Seaburn. had you came in the 1970's we were as big as Blackpool, Arnold out of the terminator films was actually at Seaburn fair at that time ! the tardis originated from Sunderland as well. the first timelord assistant actor was from Sunderland. you can go under the pier through a tunnel as well, biggest shipyard in the world 1950's, longest metal bridge at the time (Alexander) oldest mine in the world Wearmouth colliery.

All great facts thank you. I have to say I wasn't expecting Sunderland to be as good as it was but ended up absolutely loving the couple of day there. Hopefully one day Blackpool will get back up and we can visit again just hope it doesn't take another 30 years like it did from 1976 -2006 🙏🏻

You either love or hate Blackpool...I love it, so many memories that link the NE, Ireland to b and b..I was first there in 1966 was a dog for a pet or Blackpool, next time when Dennis Sowell, not looked it up. P olicemans murder, then with my mates...Fanny magnet...then with my wife, then the usual following Sunderland...and fish and chip supper

@@cesirwin1973 so many people came to Blackpool on holiday with their parents and have fond memories and people from the North whether it is East or West are generally more friendly and approachable than those from the South. Blackpool was built on entertainment but over the years the powers that be (the various councils) have appeared clueless to develop the tourism attractions and do the things to modernise new with the old. Losing the casino bid destroyed all the plans and it is only now that progress on new hotels and attractions is starting to happen. Still much to do to improve things but if you can't let your hair down and have a fun time here I'm not sure you would have one anywhere

Accepting they are wild animals and at best unpredictable, I find the best time to see them is during the summer months in the mornings.
