- Apparently this thing has only been beaten once before and weighs in at 7lb...so it might be a tricky one...but there's a free meal and a t-shirt at stake and that's all the motivation I need...
Today we're taking on The Mac Daddy at Wellington Diner in Ottawa. It costs $40 and consists of two of their infamous 'Mac Daddy' burgers, a huge pile of their breakfast poutine and a jumbo peanut butter and chocolate shake. If you can get it down in under 40 minutes, you get the meal on the house and a t-shirt for your trouble!

I'm sorry but if my waitress host or other female employee in a restaurant showed up dressed in red spandex tank top fanny pack and covered in tattoos like that. I'm not against tattoos in the way but this lady looks like a homeless one that came off the street and it's just trying to explain what she knows about the place LOL. I either ask for another server or lead. I'm not stuck-up I am not a Chris but I do believe in professionality. Just like the chef in the kitchen presentation is important

French Canadian here and I laughed when you said it wasn't technically poutine because no cheese curds because I had said the same thing a few seconds earlier lol. Good stuff beard!
Cheese curd have a short shelf life. We are bless in Quebec to have a rich market for the thing and you can find it everywhere. Not so much in the rest of Canada. Although in Ottawa they have no excuse.
Don't think I've ever tried cheese curds before.

@@erictremblay6867 You can have them shipped in certain batches though. Like the first time there will be some wastage but once you know how much you selling in a day/week, you can just order that much per day/week.
@@alexanderstark5192 In Quebec there is cheese curd on the counter of every Corner store and gas station. We have a develop cheese curd market since the 70's. At a time when Canadian were still laughing at Quebecers and their poutine.
BTW the tradition of having cheese curd bag at the counter date back to the 40's in the cheese producing region of Quebec.

He was finally defeated a few weeks ago. I couldnt believe it! Its always impressive the amount of time these are completed in.
He so great especially since he’s not a huge guy makes it all the more surprising for them
At first I thought he just stuck a camera on a table and stuffed his face. After watching a looooad of these vids, I've realized the amount of work that must go into these. All the little in between shots that scan around the restaurant and cuts to the drone (does he have a drone?) etc. All are so seamlessly done too and the pace is just perfect. Never any boring parts in these vids. Not only can this guy eat an inhuman amount of food, he's a damn good video editor too.
I stay for the production quality and commentary! The hockey swag and cute servers bumbed this one up to top 10 fav

Pretty much everyone else does exactly what you said, they set up a camera and start eating and slobbering all over the place while doing everything they possibly can to eat as loud and disgustingly as possible while, of course, talking with 6 ounces of steak in their mouth.

Can we just take a second to admire her carrying that 7lb plate of food upstairs, level, with one hand? I can barely hold a mug of tea steady
well actually, the heavier something is, the more easy it is to balance at centre mass- also, waitresses tend to have superhuman skills at carrying multiple dishes at once spread from their hands up to their elbows lol
I work in a bar/dining cafe and it's way easier to carry a heavy tray filled with half a liters of beer than like 2 cups of coffee, it's way more stable
its easier to balance that than a cup of tea...

I am a huge Phil Collins fan. It's sad that he can no longer perform as he used to due to health issues. It amazes me how you do it! I enjoy your channel....not the food....but your commentary.
I once sat next to Phil Collins at a last minute charity concert to help raise money for Terry Thomas. The acts sat with the audience until they got up to do their turn. He was one of the nicest down to earth people I have ever met.

They do have really good grub there, for anyone visiting. Solid breakfast spot too, that serves breakfast all day.
Phil was the original drummer for Genesis. He took over the singing duties after Peter Gabriel left. He’s a master at odd time grooves.

100% agree, I usually cannot stand more than a few minutes of eating videos, but @BeardMeatsFood is such a friggen likeable bloke, and his video editing and humour are top notch. Both myself and the wife will sit there together watching him. So when you look at the amount of his subscribers, I reckon you can add at least an extra 20% as multiple people will sit there together watching his videos.
Don't worry about the world brother it's all in Allah's hands , believe me Islam is the truth , this is not the real world , remember your dead for longer than you alive ....

You're correct about the original recipe being cheese curds.
When I saw the plate in front of him I was like that ain't enough.

Enjoyed that one Beard. Looks like a nice place with very tasty burgers (but that was not poutine) and doable challenge for an amateur to try... plus bonus pretty staff ! Checks all the boxes! lol ... oh and yeah I'm guilty of enjoying some Phil Collins drumming and vocals from time to time... usually hear it when I'm at the dentist's office for some reason!

You are right about the authenticity of the poutine ingredients. Since cheese curds do not melt and many people prefer melted cheese that’s why cheese curds are not always used.
Love your videos man they always make me hungry but as a proud Canadian poutine demolisher I’d say the gravy part of the poutine can be swapped out for any kind of hot sauce imo, plus I used to work at a breakfast place and I called that exact creation a breakfast poutine
I love all the content, but so amazing to see you enjoying and having a grand ol time in Canada. I find even with the time frame aside, this looked like it was such an incredible meal, looked delicious. Than that milkshake, Chocolate and Peanut Butter, *drools*. Congrats on the challenge, and hope you enjoy the remainder of the time you spend in Cananda. Ever think about coming to Newfoundland like Randy did to do the challenges he has in St. John's. Than there is also a Breakfast/Carnivore Challenge in Corner Brook now as well. No matter what you decide, I will wait eagerly for the next video and to see you crush another challenge.

Another entertaining video. I’ll never understand how some people can eat so much and not get sick. I’m 6’3 and almost 300 pounds and there’s no way I could eat more than half of that. Well done sir!
It is harder for morbidly obese people like you to eat huge quantities in one sitting because the fat compresses the stomach and makes it harder for it to expand while eating. That is why skinny people are usually better at these kinds of challenges.

@@Beardmeatsfood It really is small for a capital. I moved here a year ago and i think its more representative of what most Canadian towns are like. It's a big country with lots of smaller settlements spread out and few big cities
