- Fortunately my mum didn't need to pay to repatriate my carcass after that burger challenge, but it was touch and go for a while...
Today we're paying a visit to Johnny's Favourite Eatery in Oshawa, ON because back in 2021, after I knocked off their burger challenge, I promised the owner I'd be back one day for their 'Hungry Man' breakfast challenge! I'm a man of my word...

Evening all! In tonight’s episode, a fellow diner gives me a vote of no confidence…which I thought was pretty funny…
I hope you enjoy it, thanks for tuning in and I hope you join me on Sunday at 7pm BST for one of the best staff reactions I’ve ever seen…’til then, stay insatiable! :)
Evening mate 👍
Great as always your the best
Awesome episode mate!
Fuming sat ready wanted to get the first like 7:01 156th like lol
Of course we will be there, ready at 7pm BST, Beard.. 😀
You know it's an easy one when I can look at it, with my very limited appetite, and think "huh, I might be able to pull that one off."
Thats exactly what I thought. lol It has to be the smallest challenge he's ever done.
Yep! that was a normal meal with a few extras. I could've eaten that and not even felt full full.
@@2010ditta He should have flexed on them and finished 3 of the plates before that other guy could finish his.
Propably becouse they know Beard and maybe wanted minimalized they „lost” as a meal is free;)
@@jannowak3127 They should rethink this challenge since that other guy has eaten for free 6 times now.
It's nice to see you order from the kids menu every once in a while. Well done, ya savage!
😂😂😂
I was thinking the same thing
“Start with the solids first”
Everything on that plate is a solid.
Mr Beard is a great ambassador for England when abroad as hes always polite and has a laugh.
I can't believe Adam thought there'd be a cinnamon shaker on the table. That's champagne comedy.
can i blame it on the jet lag or no?
That would be "seasoning salt", a blend of salt and mild spices, which a lot of people enjoy on onion rings or chips.
He's a sophisticated man.
@One of eight billion like, every ihop has it too 😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
This looks like the easiest challenge to date. No wonder that guy keeps coming back and it's his 5th time. He's guaranteed a free meal.
The free meal is a lot cheaper though.
They give out VOUCHERS. It's basically a LOSS LEADER in marketing terms. The expectation is that the "winners" will bring other customers with them when they come in with that coupon for Breakfast#1 (not the challenge one)... Because the guy doing it for the 5th time PAID that 25$ for basically 5$ worth of ingredients EVERY TIME, they STILL make good money. Pancakes and home fries are a great filler because they cost almost nothing to make, but they fill a belly and a plate real nice.
It's a pretty savvy ownership, compared to the other ones I saw in his challenges. Not HARD to beat, but it has added marketing value.
I use to work there, a guy would come in an do that challenge an bring the voucher so his wife got a free meal. Its only a basic 3 egg breakfast you get with voucher, maybe $12 worth of food.
@@Voycey19I own the place and you never worked there
@@DontDelete-fp8oyI own the building and you don't own the place
I'm from Oshawa, I'm so honored that you came here. Love ALL of your videos, hope you and Mrs. Beard are doing well.
I am 100% confident I could do this one. All of the others you've done, I don't think I could. This one: definitely!
Looks good enough to do too honestly! Some challenges you're like uh, its a lot of "edible" food. But this looks yum!
“Rougher than Mrs. Beard’s extended family” really tickled me 😂
xdxdx lmao fam that is cringe 😆😆😆😅😅😅😅😅🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@michaelwesten4624 so is using the word "fam"! 🤣🤣🤣
waiting for a knock at my door when her mum sees
@@Beardmeatsfood I wouldn't mess with Leslie, Alan's a pussycat but Leslie...
@ChrisB you probably like to be tickled by guys, don’t ya? Ya sicko
A cinnamon shaker at a breakfast restaurant would be awesome.
if this video achieves nothing else...it should be to inspire people to bang a cinnamon shaker on the table
Better yet, cinnamon sugar shaker!
@@KetofolKing I was just about to say that.. the restaurant that my ex's family owned was big on breakfast. Considering they gave free buttered texas toast and jelly/jams on the tables, I had them put cinnamon sugar grinders on as well. Big hit, especially for those who frequented the place.
I think you could have done 5 at once
@@Beardmeatsfood Grats on powering through your peppered french toast.
Probably the only food challenge I've seen of yours that I'd be able to complete 😂
Yes, exactly my thought...still would have filled me for a couple of days ;-)
Probably the only meal ever gifted to a pro eater that even us small eaters could achieve. What a doddle but we all need a break sometimes.
I never thought I would enjoy watching someone eat food as much as I enjoy watching Adam eat lol the commentary and the people he meets are so cool!
This "challenge" honestly looks like what I'd usually eat at a breakfast buffet 😂😂😂.
i just thought the same... 😅
same
Yup
I agree! I could totally smash this!
7:30 I think dude has bulimia! Common oral problems caused by eating disorders include acid erosion of the surface of the teeth. I hope I'm wrong though!
all of the years of watching Adam, this by far has to be the easiest challenge he's done...
Same. I think I could do it myself. Can't say the same about any of the others I've watched.
I know right. He should have ordered another one immediately after. I think he could have done two of these in a row.
Yep definitely could see Adams eyes lighting up. X
Love Adam and his videos he is so kind and humble and jovial. This is the smallest challenge I’ve ever seen Adam do. Welcome back to Canada miss Lindsey love you two together. You are a true professional champion so very proud of you 🍚🥰👏👌👍🍀🍀❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️❤️🌟🌟⭐️⭐️😋. Keep doing what you do ❤❤
Man I felt that cinnamon error. I once was at a teppanyaki place eating a sushi roll (my first one ever) and looked at a side on the plate and went "ooooh ham" and stuffed a huge slice of pickled ginger in my mouth. And I said the same thing. "I don't know why I thought it would be ham..."
I knew a lady once who made a similar mistake. She went with a group of us to a sushi bar and mistook the wasabi for avocado. She thought it was pureed avocado. Put a great big Honkin lump of it on her sushi roll and put the whole thing in her mouth. Her reaction was absolutely and entirely satisfactory in every single particular. It’s been years and I still chuckle about it every single time I remember.
I thought it was one mushy pea!
Its not that bad of an error ...first time I went to a chinese restaurant I didn't know what anything was ...so when the waiter asked me what I wanted I just pointed at the first thing around me that looked great. Only it turned out to be a wet towel lol
And then there's the classic pizza place one: thinking its parmesan cheese in a shaker, when it turns out to actually be powdered garlic.
I had a full plate of breakfast at a brunch buffet while nursing a hangover and thought the cocktail sauce was some fresh homemade ketchup. Felt like thanos snapped the damn gauntlet in my stomach
I remember the 1 million challenge like it was yesterday… the army has doubled already… it’s either I’m getting old or this is one talented UA-camr
Think it’s the old thing mate…I’m right there with you 😆

Nothing like Beard making an easy challenge harder with some added pepper on his French Toast. LoL
Like the joking with the other guy taking the challenge. Straight crushed it again. Was fun to watch. Great video
I have watched a lot of your episodes and this is literally the only one where I think I could MAYBE do the challenge
Canadian here... Peameal is not just "rolled in cornmeal", it is also made with the loin rather than belly. Its like the circle part of the a UK rasher that is brined and rolled in cornmeal. Also its amazing and I love it lol.
Wrong
I think we'd almost class it as cooked and breaded ham here in Britain. I might be wrong, because I'm not quite sure what Canadian bacon is! We have what we call streaky and rasher bacon and when it comes to American bacon, I have no idea!
thank you for clarifying that , thought I was gonna have to spell out the cuts
@Raz MaTaz incorrect
This. It's also cured differently, and isn't smoked like the belly cuts sometimes are. Really they're nothing alike besides both being pork
Anyone who's been following BMF knows at first glance that this is as far from a challenge as it could possibly be for Adam.
an appetizer
Agreed, I'm pretty sure I could even finish that meal
It's like a starter 🤣
Most stuff I look at going jeebus, but this one when I saw it I was like "That's what I have on a saturday mid morning"
I actually laughed when I saw the plate
That's the first time I've laughed out loud, when you took pepper for cinnamon. :))) Oh, man...
Besides the first video of yours I watched, when I was surprised by the dessert menu question.
This is got to be the happiest man on UA-cam he's always laughing at his own jokes. it's hilarious
I am not a competitive eater and even I could have stood a chance at that breakfast challenge. Old boy talking smack about you then struggling himself was very funny!
That's pretty much a standard hungry man breakfast
Smack talk in competition is a Canadian tradition
@@Brett-yq7pj👍 nothing wrong with a little smack talk I just found it ironic n funny.
all chirp no shirt, such a hoser.
Me too. One and a half times the size of Tomahawk’s Yukon Breakfast in North Vancouver. Easy.
To be fair, this is the first challenge that i feel i could do, seriously.
@One of eight billion 170km for me. Will probably try it one day
Flight across the Atlantic for me... think I'll give this one a miss lads.
30 minutes seems doable for a non-competitive eater
Yeah, this is the first challenge that looked like a reasonable plate of food.
@@Toolmybass 160 for me - probably will never bother doing it but is cool he’s doing a challenge so close!
Never have I ever seen a food challenge and thought that I could beat it...and then I saw this video.
Your all class mr beard... you were very kind ...well almost canadian😅...knowing once it was served you were going to beat it easily...thanks for your generosity...and lighthearted attitude!!. And making these videos fun!!!. 😎👍🇨🇦
Legend has it Beard is still trying to open that car door
hahaha
Love that you tought Oshawa and Ottawa were near each other!
Welcome back to Canada! We are glad to have you back.
That looked like a warm-up session for you Beard. 😂
t-shirt is a t-shirt
@@Beardmeatsfood can’t argue with that 👍
"no wonder he completed it 5 times, probably got a whole new wardrobe out of it" 😂
Mr. Beard could probably finish this one 5 times in one sitting.
Plus every time he finishes it, he gets another free breakfast! He just goes there for the free meal! Lol
Thats probably the only challenge I've seen you complete that I would have a go at. 🤣🤣
This is the first challenge I've seen that I genuinely thought I could beat.
Great video as always, Adam! The views you’re getting are unbelievable but very well deserved! Much love
Honestly this is the first challenge I've seen him do that I actually think is possible for myself. Naturally, I'm probably underestimating it, but all other challenges I've seen from you I don't think I could even get close to finishing, this is the first where I think I have a chance.
I’d finish it in 30 secs
@beardmeatsfood I appreciate your videos. You have been successful at the youtube game and have had fun in the process, all while staying humble. I've used you as an example with my kids who have found a completely different set of youtube personalities to follow. Keep up the good work.
Feeling peckish again :-)
Your attention to detail in the video edit is sooo good.
The little touches like the music changing when in the car. You must enjoy the editing as much, if nit more than the eating.
I assume you do the edit.
Really good!
Polite and humble, unbeknownst to the doubter, a legend eats before him. Hope to catch you somewhere in Ottawa when you get here Adam, either way, hope the Nations Capital treats you well!
This is the 1st channel in a long time where I have been watching all the episodes. Good job Beard!
ah thanks mate, I'm honoured :)
It's evertime amazing to watch your videos beard. I like how you talk with the other people. And I have a new favorite item. French toast with dirup and pepper 😁
7:35 that guy deffo wouldn’t have finished it if you wasn’t there😂 love doubters being present always a good reaction
This is the first challenge I've ever seen that I thought maybe I could actually do haha. Thanks Beard!
That pancake was a fair lump along with the potatoes I think that would have finished me.
@@aus3492 that was my thought....but with no time limit, I might be able to
This one was hilarious as always but on another level. Pepper on the toast had me in stitches for minutes. I bet the other bloke thought you were trolling him at that point haha.
This one seemed easy! Very nice tho! Well done mr beard!
I've watched like 50 of this guy's videos, I think this is the first one where I could eat the whole thing myself as well.
Perfect timing, just sat down with me tea! This is either a good idea or i may be put off my food...worth it though
It was funny seeing the guy wondering if Mr Beard would be able to eat that tiny amount of food 🤣
Yeah, he certainly wasn’t a subscriber. I bet he is now though !!!
took me a long stretch to watch AllYourvideos..So worth it .brav you a legend,
Sweet AND Salty is the Thing! I used to enjoy Potato Chips and Ice Cream. Nice job and showing the Locals your Stripes! Be safe, no Hospitals. Thank you for the Fun Video!
Loving the optimism of thinking it was cinnamon 😂 French toast, syrup with a cinnamon sprinkle…now that does sound an ideal accompaniment! 😋
It's great to have you back in Canada mate! I'm gonna give this challenge a go for sure! Not saying it's easy, but I have a feeling I could scarf this one down without needing a trip to the local hospital 😂👏🏻
hello
I need a update
Omg you came to Oshawa
. I love here and so happy you came here
I was looking for the rest of it 🤣u got this beard x
Yep, syrup on the eggs and bacon, pepper on the French toast...always a sign of the true gourmet 🤣😂
You ran that down quicker than I could find the condiments Adam...another great job man.
I've gotten my kids onto breakfast routines. Scrambled eggs, chopped cooked bacon, shredded cheese, small hashbrowns or home fries and syrup. Shake it up/stir it up and eat.
I certainly could not do this challenge, but it looked SUPER easy compared to what i've witnessed you do in the past!
Welcome back to Canada 🇨🇦
Most my breakfasts ate about that portion. I love breakfast
That was a walk in the park mate. Good job! I love how you tell the waitress that guy might need a bucket 😂
I think this was the smallest breakfast challenge I've seen you do in a long time! Super easy here!
I watch most of your rivals. You by far are the most entertaining salty dog! You are a epic eater, keep on keeping on!
So crazy! I grew up playing Asteroids in that restaurant, back when the original Milosh family owned it. Johnny and his dad were really great. The neighbourhood kids lived off of his fries and gravy :)
Congrats on 2.22 million subs beard 🤝 been watching for years, crazy how fast you’re growing now! But well deserved
thanks mate
That man truly thought you couldn’t beat this 😂 great video man he definitely see how fast you cleared the plate
Wow I've been watching you for a few years and I never expected you'd come to Oshawa. I missed you being there for the burger challenge. Nice to see some coverage for Johnny's.
This might be the only challenge I've seen on the channel that i feel i could do!
There have been some challenges that I thought I might be able to do in the past, but I am 99% sure that I would be able to do this one. It's not even double as big as the regular weekend brunch I order frequently at my local restaurant.
This is the first one I looked at and knew I could do it. Easy work for you.
You never cease to amuse!
I used to live in Oshawa and play on those baseball diamonds at the start! Omg the random nostalgia is so strong jn this video.
Love the content man! You should definitely come out to Japan and try some of the food challenges here!
that's the aim at some point
Man that looked like an appetizer compared to some of the other challenges you've done recently.
i think its the first challenge you do that I think I can complete! Too easy!
I love a big breakfast. This is the first one of his videos that I've seen where I have no doubt I could have finished that plate as well... although not as quickly as he did.
Welcome to Canada, where neighbouring towns are 400km apart!
BTW we’d refer to American/Brit style streaky bacon as simply “bacon” vs “Canadian bacon” aka peameal bacon…
He's in oshawa, next town to either side is like 8km away lmao
@@rogerskitt1542 Yes I know - I wasn’t talking about Ontario necessarily!
@@kates7277 there's not many places in Canada period that are 400 km apart.
That's no way a challenge for Beard , that was too easy for him 😅.
Peameal bacon is a cured pork loin rolled in corn meal and cooked in a fabric sock to hold cornmeal on. It's a mix between ham and canadian bacon.
The hilarious thing is, if he’s never seen any of your videos… He doesn’t realize that this is an appetizer for you. This is not a big meal compared to a lot of what you eat. Looking at it, I think I could finish that meal. I don’t eat a lot, but if I was hungry, I don’t think I’d have an issue eating all of that.
In any case, I hope all is well and you have a wonderful 2024. Be safe and merry And keep entertaining us the way you do. Thank you.
hey Mr.Beard.we watch your videos regularly and since you seem to be in Canada often,we wondered how it would be if you did an outdoor challenge.Catch fish, collect salads and herbs and then eat until the bear coming....greetings from Germany :)
That challenge was like a starter for beard.
The amount of times I visited this place absolutely zonked with my friends in College, good times.
Ha! I exclaimed when you picked up the pepper shaker
This is one of the first challenges Adam's done that made me say, "I could do that." even though I probably couldn't lmao
Same, my eyes are definitely bigger than my belly
Yup came here to write the same thing. I cant believe that is even a challenge, just looks like a huge breakfast.
You're the best bro, l love your videos 💪
"I don't know why I thought it was cinnamon." I've cried! Lol
That guy had no idea 😂 I’ve watched you request a desert after eating a ten ton burger. Bigger than that breakfast. Another great video. Big fan… got my entire family hooked. I come home now. My son and wife are watching you. I’m a big guy. I’m just trying to figure out how you stay in shape. I’ve probably eaten the same amount of food you have in my lifetime. I resemble a few of those burgers in your thumbnails. Sloppy & falling over 😂 keep up the great work. Love it 👍🏻

Also Mr Beard: "Could I have some pepper to go for my butter tart?"
Butter tart? Is that what you call french toast? It's bread soaked in eggs and fried.

Beard! How the hell did i miss this one?! i swear ive seen all of your videos until coming across this one that happened in my own town! By far one of my favourite places to eat!
I'm definitely not a competitive eater, but back when I was nursing a baby, I probably could have put a huge chunk in that plate, because it looks ALMOST doable for a normal person. Cheers on the fun banter with the other guy, that looked like it was a good time.

I like the subtle piss take of that guy who thought you couldn’t do it 😂
I reckon haha
To be fair, everyone giving him stick but he said maybe!
A month later and I still can't believe you've been to oshawa!! I wish I knew ahead of time so I could cheer you on
My boyfriend's 70 YO dad did this challenge and then asked for more toast after. He's a twig. Bottomless pit of a man. Have watched a friend of ours take on the burger in stride as well. We love Johnny's - the staff are so nice. I can barely handle the western burger and fries.
I usually look at most challenges you do and dont think i could do it i could finish a decent amount but not in the timeframe but im 100% sure i could easily do that my Sunday fryup is bigger than that lol
"When was the last time you ate?" That one really got me, that guy was shocked, no doubt about it 😂
