She started a string of dance albums in 1977 with the Salsoul Orchestra- 1977 CUCHI-CUCHI, 1979 OLE' OLE', etc. Her guitar playing on OLE' is amazing, and of course it has a disco version of The Love Boat Theme because she was after all, the Love Boat Queen- having appeared on that series more than any other guest (8 times). I remember reading an article sometime ago, maybe 10 years ago, that she was rated the world's third best flamenco guitarist, although I always thought she considered herself a great classical guitarist. In any case, my dad used to have a crush on her and would say-- "Boy, that Charo is a pistol! There's something about her, I just can't put my finger on it. Because I'll get arrested". Thanks dad, now I know where I got my sense of humor from.
Wow she is fabulous!
Used to watch the show as aired in Australia. Really big show !
