And in your desire to compliment her you have debased the comedic profession! Oops! Might want to rethink your compliment sans the belittling remark. ✌️♥️🎸💃
Saw her in concert in CT at the Mohegan Sun Casino, she is not only a world classical guitarist, but also full of life at her age, long live Charo! I was a high soprano opera singer, I know how much dedication it takes to move an audience, there are no words to have an audience give you a standing ovation, even with talent there is insecurity, btw
WOW, Just WOW. I had no idea Charo was such an accomplished guitarist. All I knew was her whooping it up and swinging her hips. I’m so glad my feed sent me these clips of an amazing talent I had no idea existed.
She is the number 1 Flamenco guitarist in the world, and was taught by Andre Segovia, who brought the guitar fro a folk instrument to a classical one. She was nine years old when she started lessons from him. If I am correct Xavier Cougar (sp?), brought her to the U.S. when she was 20 years old.
She is not the number 1 flamenco guitarist in the world... Guitar magazine called her that years ago but it's just a magazine. There are many better than her she's good but she's not the best
Absolutely. With that wide, concave neck too... I am in awe of any classical guitarist that has "mediocre" ability. To see and hear a Maestra like Charo is a true blessing!
I had to look her up after seeing her on the Sherri show today. I'm so glad to see she's still going strong. It's a shame she never got the recognition she deserved for her outstanding flamenco guitar playing. She studied under Segovia, for goodness sake!
I think she's had worldwide acclaim from what I see online. I just found out about her guitar prowess about a year ago. I always loved her silliness on U.S. TV. I always have loved classial guitar, too, so now I have a new reason to love her and respect her musical talent.
Her talent and deep passion for life keeps her young and vital!!!! YOU GO CHARO!!! We love you. Spain and its cuisine (including the best EVOO) shud be considered a health tonic.
Thank you so much for this!! Most only remember her for shaking her ass and her appearances on Love Boat, et al. She was so much more than that. An absolute beautiful, very talented, strong woman!! Love and respect this woman SO much!!!
I had seen her in the past as an actress n comedian but somehow missed that she was such an incredible guitarist, thus adding to her incredible talents
I never knew Charo as a Guitarist let alone a Flamenco player. She was just a loud brash sexy Guest Star on this show or that. Just saw two performances on the MDA Telethon Channel. Too bad there are no dancers to accompany the music in their colorful stylish dresses and hand fans.
Beautiful lady, I never knew until recently that she was such an accomplished guitarist! Check out her performance on Ed Sullivan, really ahead of the times!
There is some very light background band in this version (I think it's from her CD??) but they push the guitar track forward so that it's much louder... and most of it is guitar only. It doesn't come with a video but this is my favorite version since you can really hear her playing. Hope this helps! ua-cam.com/video/BkF5ef4e-Uk/v-deo.html
Shame about all the frankenstien plastic surgery but my god a) she was a fantastic flamenco master and b) what a smokeshow when she was young…but shes still got the chops and the flair that music requires. Killin.
I've heard Roy Clark flat pick this on a 12 string, and of course he shredded. But I have to say I prefer this version. She's a fantastic player, and her technique is more appropriate for this tune.
I lived on the same golf course housing in Las Vegas. She listed her phone number in the phone book too. I called it once, and she pretended to be the maid. LOL!
I'm 65yo and I've been watching her since I was a child. I can't believe she's still going strong. Amazing. ...However, I'm sorry to say: she's an argument against plastic surgery. Shame.
Yes , she sounds good,… but , I’ve heard some guitarists in Mexico that travel around between resorts, ( all resorts have bands and musicians that come in to entertain, every day) and they put her playing to shame. It’s not even close, ,, but she is a high profile celebrity.
LOL How wrong you are! She was a student of Andre Segovia himself! SHAME on you for degrading her from your ignorance! Bwahahahahaha-comparing mariachis to flamenco is like comparing apples to oranges! She is a classical musician trained by a maestro-ignorant person!
I grew up in the 80's watching her on late night TV shows and never knew she was a master flamenco player!! Wow😲!!
Same, found one of her old videos and was blown away at how good she is on guitar never knew it was one of her abilities :)
Like Steve Martin... Comedian, actor, and world class musician.
All these decades I thought she was just a comedian. Oh, I am sooooo sorry, Charo! Nothing but RESPECT and ADMIRATION!
LOL...one of the best Flamenco players I have ever heard..
Yeah remember "Coochie coochie coo"? Who knew?
And in your desire to compliment her you have debased the comedic profession! Oops! Might want to rethink your compliment sans the belittling remark. ✌️♥️🎸💃
@@artcflowers ........What? That bothers you? Oops....you may think to ''zip it''
Ageless talent and beauty. Maestra!!!!
..She is an amazing treasure.
Charo was my first crush I’ve been a fan of her since I was 5..You don’t last as long as she has for no reason..Amazing talent!!

Xavier Cugat
Most definitely a Top 5 touring flamenco player in the world? Maybe
Good thing that big tata didn’t jump out during one of those riffs.
@sumo-ninja no she's number 1. Guitar player magazine should know
I always liked her playing. She is fantastic. A+.
One of the hardest styles to play an acoustic nylon string guitar deeply respected

Only Americans have been ignorant to her talent. Everyone else in the world knows what a great talent she is.
Her talent and deep passion for life keeps her young and vital!!!! YOU GO CHARO!!! We love you. Spain and its cuisine (including the best EVOO) shud be considered a health tonic.
Brilliant guitarist, comedy genius- Charo kicks ass!! ❤
Wow wow wow wow wow!!!! She is amazing!!! this woman is amazing

Real talent! ARRIBA!
I had seen her in the past as an actress n comedian but somehow missed that she was such an incredible guitarist, thus adding to her incredible talents
How did i miss that she was such a talented musician
Charo is still smoking hot and so talented much love to her !!
Thanks for sharing this! Charo is amazing, full of life & music 🤩
She and Dolly and Mae West are fabulous women of high talent on so many levels. We are truly lucky to have them in our world.
What a delightful performance!
I've loved Charo for a long time, good to see she's still energetic & gorgeous!❤❤❤❤❤
Beautiful, talented and feminine.
So beautiful you are, thank you, lovingly hugs to Charo everyone everywhere 🤗💜😇
Ditto!
Bravo 👏 👏. She always brilliant. Loved her since i 1st saw her in the late 60s ❤
Brava.
She still looks great and sounds fantastic !
She looks exactly like Marge Simpson's mother.
She's fantastic ❤
Omg you can see her counting. Wow i sang opera for years, and can say this takes thousand of hours of work to master. Bravo 👏
Beautiful rendition of the timeless favorite. 😮
What a wonderful , beautiful talent 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
Don't care who you are or where in the world you are from- this is real music.
Talento!!! Muito além de A LITLE BE CLOSER...
Wow. She can 'still' play..one of the best, and beauty to top it off...Thank you Charro!!
Magnifico 🫶
The best version I ever heard, bravo❤
I didnt realize that she was still with us. Bless her heart. She looks well. Sounds great.
She is amazing
Her talent is jaw dropping.
Ole!
I WISH I could play half as good as she can. WOW!
I've been told I'm a good blues/surf guitar player. I'd love to have even 1/10th of this Maestra's talent!
How amazing is this woman?🏆
This deserves so many more likes.
I would love to hear her play live. Love her.
I had no idea. I used to watch her on Laugh in and movies. She is brilliant.
People forget or NEVER knew in the first place how good she is or was....
God Bless you Bellissima!
She amazing, and it's amazing how she doesn't age a bit.
The magnificent, beautiful, talented, sexy, fully-clad, Charo! Flying fingers and an hourglass figure and let's not forget that orchestra backing her!
Charo is the best. My favorite versions of this song are the ones she and Roy Clark play, and the styles are totally different.
OUTSTANDING!
💥💫⭐⭐⭐⭐ I think she's playing better now . Seriously I think this girl is in her best form right now from what I'm seeing in this video ...
I❤her.

Breathtaking.

She still got it
That was great 😊
Wow she shreds!
Bravo!
I love this so much. ❤
I love you Charo.
Wonderful ✔
🤩
I sure wish I could find a version with out the backing band and just her.

Hokey Schmokes & Aye Carramba !😮
🤘♥️🤘
I lived on the same golf course housing in Las Vegas. She listed her phone number in the phone book too. I called it once, and she pretended to be the maid. LOL!
Good lord someone give this lady a distorted guitar and a 100 watt amp! 👍
You can tell that guitar has the mojo from a long life of being well-played.
Amazing rasgueado!
She was trained by Segovia.
incrivel!!!!!
She and I are about the same age. In fact, we could be twins. ;)
modern goddess.. go ahead use that as an band name.
I went to a restaurant in Hawaii that she owned… she wasn’t there.
73…..
She's more machine now than man....
I'm 65yo and I've been watching her since I was a child. I can't believe she's still going strong. Amazing. ...However, I'm sorry to say: she's an argument against plastic surgery. Shame.
That plastic ruined her.
May I remind you that the packaging is the least important part of a gift?
@@EverythingButTheOinkAt 70+,she can do what she wants...mad respect to the Cuchi Cuchi Girl. She has never cared what we think
She seems happy doing what she loves

Sure, what does Guitar Player magazine know? They only voted her best Flamenco Guitar Player two years.
Trained by Segovia she was a firecracker when she was younger but she is more Precision now ... "longevity is the word " said Tony Bennett.
You know nothing
Sadly, the sound quality is so bad on this video that it isxa waste of time.
Charro!!!!
