@@J.Lulo_ Hey Patron have you ever thought about being a teacher in a school in your trade? I believe your be a fantastic teacher helping people learn about autobody and how to prep. Just saying brother! Skys the limit! I subbed to your channel..
And yes I consider becoming a teacher. I enjoy teaching people the trade. I’ve taught many people over the years that have made great careers out of there trade. Maybe one day I will become a full time teacher. Thank you for subscribing to the channel I appreciate it.
@@J.Lulo_ You'd be an amazing teacher!! Sign me up! I was gonna get my bumper done but they're charging me 500 just for paint bumper and trunk but no prep work and no wet sanding and buffing afterwards...
When you say wetter are you spraying slower or closer to the panel? Thank you!!!! I never used blender, never heard of it before your demo. Thanks again!!
A respirator mask is always good to use when spraying any kind of chemicals but since this job was done outside and most people that will do a small job like this won’t want to spend 50 dollars for one small paint job outside. I wanted to keep this job as inexpensive as possible for the DIY’er in mind.
The primer should give it the adhesion that it needs to stick properly. On the other hand an adhesion promoter will add a better adhesion to the plastic bumper. But the idea to this video is to keep the project simple, cheap, and easy for the DIY’er in mind.
Love your work as i got a spec of dirt on the House Door im painting in Base Coat its a Gloss of course can i just sand that with wet & dry 800 then spray with clear that will be fine yes.Little jobs i do other then painting panels of my car.
Thank you 🙏 for the kind words I appreciate it. If you sand base coat you have to reapply the base coat so you can clear over it. You shouldn’t clear coat over sanded base coat because the sand scratches will show through the clear coat. If you’re just sanding clear coat with 800 then you can just re-coat over the clear coat and it should be fine.
Question as I painted the House door which came up very well indeed spraying Base Coat Gloss and then days later 2K Clear and of course it has a few Dust specs in it but smooth as is the clear coat happy indeed. Can i wet & Dry that with 2000 a little then buff it up or just leave it Lulo.
As it's a House door I could use 2000 wet and dry then a light polish yes that would be ok.I know it's not a car panel of course but should work the same.
The rustolium spot primer I used in this video works pretty good. And you can pick it up at any auto zone or advanced auto or you can use my affiliate link to Amazon if you don’t mind waiting for it to get delivered.
If you can’t find it you might have to go to a local paint distributor and see if they have a machine that puts mixed paint in an aerosol can. Sometime Dipli doesn’t make all the color codes in an aerosol spray can.
Yes you should always apply at least 2 coats of clear coat when painting. The only way you wouldn’t have to clear coat is if it is a single stage kind of paint where the clear coat is built into the mix. If you’re paint is really glossy when you’re done spraying it then it might have a clear component in it already. But if you’re painting with base coat then you have to apply clear coat on top.
@@J.Lulo_ I think it may. I'll show you the link! I also have a question. What's a good price for someone to do a bumper fender and trunk for someone paint em up.

You don't need adhesion promoter for that spot???

I guess it’s really up to you. You can sand it with some 2000 of you want or just leave it alone if it’s not that noticeable.

What do you recommend for a good spot primer Spray Can?
For little sand throughs with small amounts of Bondo showing?
