Here's hoping. His "Summer Wages" cover (a song I'd never heard) is absolutely brilliant. His covers have given me a deeper appreciation of the amazing Canadian country music that's out there.
@@hereswhatsleft Same. Never been a big country guy, but that's due to the pop country on the radio over the last 20 years. But old school stuff like Cash, Haggard, Jones, I can listen to. Only ever bought a Cach CD some years back, but Colter has opened my eyes to a lot of good stuff, especially Canadian stuff. His Summer Wages cover right now is my favorite. Sing it every day, lol. Bob Fudge for a while. Cowpoke. Such good stuff.
Hi, Colter: Thought I'd add another appropriate verse to the song, you might want to sing the next time you record it (or sing it publicly): Sometimes I wish we could start over And meet again in another time. You'd be a sweet and faithful lover, Not on a trail of sin and crime. How do you like that verse?
@@l.a.bianchi6253 Hi, LAB. I am fully aware that John Prine wrote the song. My comments only address how much I like the way Colter Wall sings it, and he of course has the freedom to add more verses if he wants to. I thought the verses I wrote are very appropriate to the theme of the song.
Hear the lyrics, sad and tragic,
Love that's headed for a fall.
But the listening sure is magic
When it's sung by Colter Wall.
I hope he puts this cover on his next album. This and summer wages.

@Henry H.H Thank you very much. I only wish Colter Wall would record the song with the new verses added. So nice.
Why would you re-edit this. Shameful.
The jar of bud on the table always makes me smile
