The only things Motorsport has over GT is its sense of speed and the chase camera. The chase camera is leagues better in motorsport because its active and fun. GT feels a little dead in that regard but other than that, it clears
But it's the opposite when it comes to the cockpit cam, in GT7 you can make it to look more like NFS Shift by just changing the wobble settings. While in FM, the cockpit cam is too static
I'd say the only thing FM has over Gt7 is the console exclusive thing. I mean, I don't regret buying a ps5, but I'm sure there's a lot of players who'll pass on the game because of that.

Asphalt road in real life isn't that reflective. Road in FM7 seems as if it's covered by a layer of ice. Otherwise, they pretty much spot on with the rain effect on both camera and window, have no idea why didn't GT7 implement that.
I have played Forza on occasion and Xbox and also GT7 on PS5 also VR. Sorry by Forza is a bad arcade game. The rear internal view mirror quality is so bad in some cars. The motion feels juddery.
There's no argument for FM. It looks fan-made next to GT7. GT7 is so many miles ahead in literally every aspect. They're racing sims, it's not about which one feels fast in the chase camera it's about which has the best driving physics, best graphics/audio and most accurate track/car scans. FM's best attributes still can't come close to competing with GT7. It's laughable and quite honestly continued embarrassment for Forza.

Imo rain races do look over the top in FM (too much reflections on the the road, too much rain on the lens), but on the other hand GT does look too realistic. It's very close to the real thing but simulating the feeling of being in the rain a bit more would help the immersion as it's a videogame. Btw the physics while driving in the rain are spot on in GT imo
no, i still think it's NOT ENOUGH of either. car games are terrible at rain. have you driven a car in rain? like, heavy rain? you lose all visibility. but in these games everything is super clear, visibility isn't affected at all, not by the rain on the windshield (which is just a controlled drizzle by a garden hose operating at 20% capacity), nor by the actual obscuring of the rain drops. in gt it's even worse. you can't even tell it's raining.

In the end you want to have fun in a game, and not being able to see the track is no fun most likely. So I think seeing enough of the track while creating the immersion of being in the rain is the way to go. Only case I can image the realistic visibility during heavy rain to work is in VR

The most disappointing thing about Forza Motorsport is the graphics, it manages to lose to Horizon 5, and it doesn't go head to head with Gran Turismo 7, which I haven't even played, and I have Motorsport... Rubbish graphics, to say it's a state-of-the-art game generation...
Everyone in here forgets how broken GT7 was at launch and until just recently you couldn't even play online for several months. 20 updates to get the game in the state it is today. You really need to give forza a chance.
GT7 had several problems, but the graphics, unless I'm mistaken, didn't change anything compared to the launch. And when there was a problem with the GT7 servers, it was impossible to play online for 34 hours, not months. And it's worth remembering, GT7 even runs on PS4, while the current Forza is exclusive to the current generation. But I hope that future updates will make Forza an excellent game, because this encourages Polyphony to increasingly improve GT7 or a future GT8, and thus encourages the constant improvement of both games.
I just give up on FM completely after update 2.0 Graphics: still unrealistic lights everywhere at night, sun still a nuclear blast, even in third view is blinding now, rain is now makes the car literally uncontrollable. AI: they do wreck fest from start, they use much stronger HP cars in free races, they still can't see players, and still cheating with pitstop. If you make a 2 required pitstop for race, they just make the 2nd pitstop on FiNAL LAP!!! The difficulty on some tracks is ridiculous now. For example at mid Ohio in career mode vintage championship, if you turn up difficulty more than 2, you can't get first place! Tried for hours, and impossible to get the AI. There is still no reward for finishing racing series too. That difficulty change... 8 difficulty, why on earth they turned up it on 3-4? Everyone was complaining (masochist) to make 7-8 harder. Yet they killed middle gamers. Tracks still look same, cars looks better now, but they still sounds like tractors, drills and lawnmowers, especially in cockpit view. Multiplayer. Penalty changed to give bigger, but thx to the sudden "accidentally" brake trick, players now make on innocent drivers more penalty with avoidable contact. In single player? Don't even try to make the full rules or you lost races after the second turn on tracks. So all of these, vs the Yas Marina and new cars? NOT WORTH. I bet Forza players will tear this comment apart, but I was Forza player from very first game until now. But now... I just wait to get enough money for PS5 and get GT7. Forza Motorsport try so hard to get GT7, they lost that, because they didn't stay unique, as in the old times. 6 years...

Everyone in here forgets how broken GT7 was at launch and until just recently you couldn't even play online for several months. 20 updates to get the game in the state it is today. You really need to give forza a chance.
GT7 had several problems, but the graphics, unless I'm mistaken, didn't change anything compared to the launch.
And when there was a problem with the GT7 servers, it was impossible to play online for 34 hours, not months.
And it's worth remembering, GT7 even runs on PS4, while the current Forza is exclusive to the current generation. But I hope that future updates will make Forza an excellent game, because this encourages Polyphony to increasingly improve GT7 or a future GT8, and thus encourages the constant improvement of both games.

I just give up on FM completely after update 2.0 Graphics: still unrealistic lights everywhere at night, sun still a nuclear blast, even in third view is blinding now, rain is now makes the car literally uncontrollable. AI: they do wreck fest from start, they use much stronger HP cars in free races, they still can't see players, and still cheating with pitstop. If you make a 2 required pitstop for race, they just make the 2nd pitstop on FiNAL LAP!!! The difficulty on some tracks is ridiculous now. For example at mid Ohio in career mode vintage championship, if you turn up difficulty more than 2, you can't get first place! Tried for hours, and impossible to get the AI. There is still no reward for finishing racing series too. That difficulty change... 8 difficulty, why on earth they turned up it on 3-4? Everyone was complaining (masochist) to make 7-8 harder. Yet they killed middle gamers. Tracks still look same, cars looks better now, but they still sounds like tractors, drills and lawnmowers, especially in cockpit view. Multiplayer. Penalty changed to give bigger, but thx to the sudden "accidentally" brake trick, players now make on innocent drivers more penalty with avoidable contact. In single player? Don't even try to make the full rules or you lost races after the second turn on tracks. So all of these, vs the Yas Marina and new cars? NOT WORTH. I bet Forza players will tear this comment apart, but I was Forza player from very first game until now. But now... I just wait to get enough money for PS5 and get GT7. Forza Motorsport try so hard to get GT7, they lost that, because they didn't stay unique, as in the old times. 6 years...

I’m a forza fan, however I’m not going to discriminate against other car games, at the moment gt7 has just completely blown my mind, the better forza motorsports are the previous ones, fm8 is just not good at all

Forza loses in every aspect. There is no point in updating, the game was already inferior in terms of graphics, sound, gameplay and frame rate.
So all those money and resources have been spent on half baked broken buggy and nowhere as spectacular implementation of what Drive Club delivered marvelously 10 years ago.

Even with obvious compromises for performance in game on standard PS5, STILL LOOKING MILES, MILES BETTER THAN FUCKING FM8, THAT LOOKING WORSE, THAN LAST GREAT FM - FM4, FROM 2011!. Especially in terms of Color/Contrast/surfaces rendering. And argument: "Much better environment than PS3-like GT" is completely irrelevant and laughable, when it's looking like washed out, typical western AAA dogshit "Game".
Waiting for PS5 Pro for finally getting off the some graphics compromises and see the full potential of PD, GT- game engine!
But also it's sad, that there is no competition to GT7 from others anymore, and overall, "fun but also realistic/stylish" racing game genre is literally dying(except only GT, but c'mon, we NEED GREAT others too!), and soon there are will be only boring, "Sim-Racing" Nerds.

Many, fun and variety Arcade Machines/up to PS2 era racing games - Dead.

Actually, Forza's graphics isn't that bad, comparing it to GT7. So if you only have PC or Xbox, graphics alone won't make it a bad purchase for you. The bug, is what killing the game at the moment...
I never understand why people praised GT7 so much, only by graphic overall and physics alone (that one I understand, it's the meat of the buffet), because when you're actually playing it, GT7 content wise is, to put it simple, there's not enough "game" in this game alone, even when I'm seeing this kind of video, I never really convinced that GT7 is the best in the market, because it isn't. Nor even FM8, so both game are equal
I’m sorry but, the lack of content and the shear amount of bugs, forza isn’t equal, forza Motorsport 5 had more content and that game was hated for the lack of it. At the moment gt7 is the best simcade game you can get especially on console. This is coming from someone who played forza way longer then gran turismo

@@horizon_angel not really, just tracks alone there was more of then forza Motorsport 8, this is from someone who has both ps2 and xbox original era of both series’s, Gt7 was literally built from the ground up, noticed how they haven’t re used a model from the previous games like gt5 and 6? Sure tracks were added, but there was more tracks in gt7 at launch then forza. Meanwhile Forza Motorsport 8 uses models from 360 era, maybe even some from 2005.
GT7 is literally built from the ground up, too much that they re-did the whole campaign and make it linear for us, removing the essence of "Gran Turismo" from it
Ahem, well sure content is actually more (I still won't forget how badly GT7 flopped at launch), it's kinda underutilized. Not that FM8 is any better, but then I don't think GT7 also deserve that much praised
@@horizon_angel I mean I’d agree there was for sure lack of content in gt7 however I was still compelled to play it, forza Motorsport however 🥶 I’d rather go back to 2007 on fm2 with better car leveling systems (well I kinda did already) but now with the updates with gt7 Forza is being thrown at the curb right now, and while updates are for sure going to make Forza Motorsport 8 much better, it’s the lack of tracks seen in all the previous motorsports on the Xbox one and some titles on the 360 (I forget) but also the amount of bugs this game has, I’ve played a decent amount of games during releases but this is almost worse then Forza Horizon 5 on release day, it’s just bad, and multiplayer, that system is a mess, and I also miss the hoppers. I don’t even like dissing forza but this time they really fumbled, I hope once updates come in and make the game better that polythony start taking inspiration to add more content. This last update was good but it can easily get boring, but that’s kinda my fault.
