What bothers me about many morning routine videos is that they seem to be designed for people with no jobs. They're like "I do yoga for one hour after which I just sit in silence for half an hour and then journal for another half an hour. Then I will make breakfast that will also take me an hour," and I'm here like do you not have anywhere to be?! I have to be at work at 7am, I don't have time for that. So I really appreciate this more realistic take on creating a morning routine.
well its really based on what they're doing at that time. routines change all the time and you should shape your routines based on how they fit in your life wether you work or study or you have a family etc... What you might be watching can be their routine during a vacation or it really depends on what they're working etc.. If you can't do all of these, its really okay and just create a morning routine that is suitable for you. Maybe you can do these ( yoga, meditation, journaling...) at night when you have more free time.
True, but that's why you take the healthy tips and do it to fit you and your schedule, I leave my house at 7:15am to get the bus for work, I wake up at 6. For the days I'm at work I do 2mins of breathing exercises, 10-15mins of yoga, get ready, have breakfast, chill for 15mins then leave for work and that works for me and makes me feel good.

I'm a pragmatic person and tried for some time to have all the aesthetic things, pretty journal and etc but I couldn't for the life of me keep up with it. Eventually I accepted that's not who I am and that I already had a morning routine, it just wasn't as aesthetic and wholesome as we see on the internet. Having some things that are essencial is a great idea, as sometimes we give up entirely when we can't do everything right. I started to wake up early, but not too early (going to sleep early to wake up without alarms, which I hate) and it feels 100% better already

It's great that women are empowering each other but it places a high expectation to be something that some of us may not have the capacity for at the moment. step 1 - setting the foundation for your dream morning routine (think about the habits you’ve picked up in your whole life and identify which ones you’d like to keep up) step 2 - put the pieces together “if i could have my dream routine, what would it be?” (be specific, dream big) step 3 - highlight the MUST DOs/HAVEs - make high/mid/low energy morning routines - set systems for your habits (e.g. to wake up early, sleep early. to do skin care routine, leave skincare products where you will see and use them) FEELING GOOD >>>>> LOOKING GOOD YOU ALREADY ARE THAT GIRL WHEN YOU ARE BEING TRUE TO YOURSELF!!
While doing the worksheet, I realised that: first I have a hard time winding down at night, BUT when I do wind down, I like to prepare for the next day. I prep my bag, outfit and most of all breakfast and it makes it SO MUCH easier in the morning. Having my breakfast ready (even if it's just the ingredients ready to be cooked) is one less thing to think about (less decision making, less energy consumed), one less task to do and it's more fun! Like a little atelier/activity. Also in high school when I was really interested by a book I would left it in the kitchen at night so in the morning it would motivate me to get up early and have time to read before class, loved it!

Yes night/wind down routine!!! ❤️ I have adhd and when it comes to the mornings, I’m damned if I do, damned if I don’t. If I have more time and am not in a rush, I space out and it’s hard to focus once I get into the office. So… to compensate, I lean into my natural night time focus. I pimped out my bedtime routine and use it to set my self up for the mornings. On the high energy, I do everything. Prep clothes, clean up my kitchen, sweep, bathroom. Literally removing any morning points of contention. I even think of back up outfits in case feeling bloated. On the flip side, bare bones, prep purse, clothes, and spruce up bathroom. I loved this video- thank you! It will inject some vigor into my mornings. Edit: forgot a few words there 😉

I've kind of been doing something like your 3-level system lately. It's a small change, but I prefer not to have a to-do list that I check things off of, but rather start each day with a clean slate and focus on what I do get done. I've found that I end up being much kinder to myself, and it's a more positive start to my day. Very much a glass half full thing.
This is what I do. I don't know if you bullet journal, but a lot of people's spreads when doing this is to have the tasks that they want to do written down and then they cross them off. I do it backwards. I write everything down that I've actually done. It motivates me more because I know I need to have stuff to write in my journal haha.

I think the MOST important thing as far as habits I've learned to do is the cues you talked about. It is literally what we hear over and over, isn't it? Lay clothes out the night before (something I forget to do a lot lol) but I keep my skincare on the counter but will try to put a fresh cloth each night beforehand, and my vitamins the night beforehand out. Little things like that really do help, so that when I wake up I don't come out of bed and just sit on the couch confused at to what I'm supposed to do first lol xD

Having 3 levels is really clever. Been reading Elastic habit and it really is such Aha! Duh! Moment when you realise keep habits going Better when you don’t keep them too fixed. Instead of for eg. Feeling bad because I overslept and can’t go for that hour walk before work… I can still say Walk before work Done, just choosing a smaller goal for that day. Anyways I like your plan, it is a good mix between oversight, taking a step back, and understanding details better.

I work best getting straight to work after drinking a cup of water and making myself a coffee. I'm the most focused in the morning, so this works a lot better for me when choosing to read and work out before work. Tried it and I had the tendency to feel a lot more sluggish throughout the day. My evenings are for all those nice activities :)
Please do some videos on balancing your romantic relationship with the rest of your life after being single and how to adjust to the responsibilties and changes in expectations when part of a commited relationship. Would love the insight!
I would like to see a night routine! Even if it is very similar to this video, I would love it if your touched on points that specifically could assist winding down (cause honestly, I have a night routine, but it's not too "calming", and though it's doable, I really want to feel more at peace (plus I struggle with insomnia)). PLUS, your videos are so calming and your advice based on energy audits was SO helpful for me! Is there a way to reverse engineer energy audits for nighttime, so when you have a ton of energy, instead of doing a whole bunch of things because it might rev you up, what are the couple things to do to slow down?
Waking up early has made me more productive. It's not "aesthetic" but it's perfect for me. I'm ready for the day by 7am and start working on any projects or school work until I start work at 9!

Having 3 levels is really clever. Been reading Elastic habit and it really is such Aha! Duh! Moment when you realise keep habits going Better when you don’t keep them too fixed. Instead of for eg. Feeling bad because I overslept and can’t go for that hour walk before work…
I can still say Walk before work Done, just choosing a smaller goal for that day.
Anyways I like your plan, it is a good mix between oversight, taking a step back, and understanding details better.

I work best getting straight to work after drinking a cup of water and making myself a coffee. I'm the most focused in the morning, so this works a lot better for me when choosing to read and work out before work. Tried it and I had the tendency to feel a lot more sluggish throughout the day. My evenings are for all those nice activities :)

I would like to see a night routine! Even if it is very similar to this video, I would love it if your touched on points that specifically could assist winding down (cause honestly, I have a night routine, but it's not too "calming", and though it's doable, I really want to feel more at peace (plus I struggle with insomnia)).
PLUS, your videos are so calming and your advice based on energy audits was SO helpful for me! Is there a way to reverse engineer energy audits for nighttime, so when you have a ton of energy, instead of doing a whole bunch of things because it might rev you up, what are the couple things to do to slow down?
