Although I would love to have these well planned morning and night routines i.e. waking up 5am, journaling etc I’m more of the opposite spectrum of Rowena. I rather have a low effort, simple routine maximising sleep> brekky/coffee>12hr workday>shower/skincare>dinner>bed for Netflix>try to sleep early. If I overthink things or try to implement plans, I get stressed out trying to hit each target and waste more time 😅. Rather go with the flow/mundane plan to wind down each workday.
The idea of making a routine for each energy level to still do something good for ourselves is brilliant ❤ & i loved your words at the end they were so comforting ❤

I knew it was from a musical, that there was more than one singer, and that it was a messy, comedic musical. so weird how you can forget something, but still remember that many impressions. I kept thinking: dr. horrible? something from starkid? and then I finally realized it was super heroes from the rocky horror picture show.
I agree that these routine videos are a way for us to escape societal expectations of working hard all the time with no rest. And showing new ways to "rest." However, I also just like to watch these videos because they're calming and relaxing.

How do you make time for boyfriend, do you talk to him daily, is there any specific time when you both have decided to talk in a day or what is it? How do you manage ?
I usually incorporate him in my routine (as weird as it sounds 😂) for ex. I facetime him while I do my skincare at night in order to spend time together, listen to him talk about his day and wind down together. And when I feel like I need me-time we agreed to spend some time by ourselves. I think the right person will understand you needs and will be more than glad to help you grow!

Rowena, if you feel like trying something *completely* new as part of your nighttime routine I recommend the works of Charlie Morley and Sergio Magana for Lucid Dreaming. I started doing it over lockdown because I was having sleepless night after sleepless night and simply wanted a discipline to focus on, what I got was more magic than I have ever experienced. They come at it from different cultures (Tibetan and Mexican) but overlap on many philosophies and practices. When I do it properly the quality of my sleep is also something else. All the best x
I adore this video! I've been doing something similar with my daily yoga practice (playlists based on my energy, needs, etc). This also makes me think about Atomic Habits as well (you can't always work out for an hour a day, so 5 minutes may be it!).
