This video was very reassuring. I was planning my honor mode party and so many guides push the super cheesy high damage builds: tavern brawler thrower, dual crossbows thief so on and so forth but I wanted to do it with a more traditional party split. I’ll be starting tonight with my Paladin. Cheers!
Awesome builds. I use ''Shart'' in a similar way being a bard but my usual build for her is: 1 storm sorc for con proficiencies, shield and the hability to fly off the danger 1 life cleric for those juicy healing buffs/heavy armor/guidance etc 10 lore bard for the magical secrets
Imma try that out 😅 Thanks for the tip. Never thought about going Lore Bard with Shadowheart. I’ve neglected her so much because I’m Gith and Lae’zel would get mad at me lmao
I got my golden dice on my fifth attempt. The first try I deleted my campaign after aggroing the druid game. The other times my party wiped in act 2. Once at the meenlocks, once got surprised and quickly wiped out by the trees need the old tower. The last wipe was at the hands of Myrkul
I did HM first try as well. Gloomstalker (5) + Assassin (3) Tav, with a few other things mixed in until I hit 12, then I did Swords Bard (6) + Gloomstalker (3) + Assassin (3). Disgusting how good Swords Bard is in this game tbh. Open Hand Monk (6) + Thief rogue (3) + Wildheart Barb (3) Astarion. I also fed him all the tadpole powers + astral tadpole, but I didn't ascend him (I flipped a coin). Honestly past level 9 I didn't know what to do with him so I went with Barb for the extra tank because he had a habit of getting hard focused if I didn't leave him out of range. Alchemist Mage (12) Gale, because I'd never played mage before. I usually made the stone that gives extra movement and passed it to Astarion, but very rarely I'd swap it around each turn because it just needs to be in someone's inventory and moving it doesn't take any resources. My final slot was a Swords Bard (12) because I hadn't played Bard at all and wanted to try a mono class. Originally it was Wyll, but I got screwed by stupid UI design when talking to Mizora in the colony (the "release her" prompt changes position TWICE back to back during that conversation) so then he was gone and I had to finish act 2 while down a character because there's no way out to camp once you're down there, which sucked. After that I went and got Minsc for the first time and made him the new Swords Bard. It definitely wasn't the best team possible and there were some harrowing moments, but it worked out and I had fun. I'm absolutely not playing true honor mode again though, I had too many things bug out for me.
I went 8 lvls sorcerer first for 2 feats, then 2 lock, and final 2 back to sorcerer. You can easily multiclass earlier though, if you want the lock things sooner.
You miss out on the myrmidon summon though. When you think about having that passive summon that can do that damage plus the abilities it gives per long rest is insane.
@@FinalOven_Mint I think deadshot leagues better far more often… some reasons are against any enemy with high AC who is difficult to hold person/monster with, or in other words several of the most important fights, I will say for Raphael titanstring is likely is better than deadshot as he is easy to cc and that’s often considered the toughest fight, but if you are really not using deadshot than Gontr is better than titanstring unless you want to be tied to gloves or potions or advantage gear. So if we are being real, and detailed Titanstring can be optimized to be the best DPR bow in the game but you have to know what you are doing, and will require you to chugg potions of hill or cloud strength…so Titanstring for a character whom utilizes risky ring or gains advantage easily, and/or does not need to utilize arcane acuity Deadshot can be optimized to be the best bow for finishing the game, as it allows for much more versatile gearing and strategy as by getting hit chance up to 95% on literally all enemies you are able to exploit arcane acuity and other op item combos, you can focus on buffing on hit effects and dice and can use crit or bloodlust elixir…so it is best on archers who will not have inherent advantage and want sharpshooter, so swords bards archers and archer fighters, or as a stat stick for certain melee or throwing builds, or for arcane acuity use Gontr maul is utility bow with no niche suffers from being a halfway point between the two in a game that rewards specialization and reducing risk. Doing less potential damage than Titanstring bow but having a really hard time getting the 95% on all enemies without being ‘forced’ into certain item choices…but, doing radiant damage and giving advantage opens up some fun options for characters with radiant orb or reverb gear, and it has the bis haste, so I personally think it goes well on sorcerer for the haste and radiant damage (and I think it is more accurate than fire bolt/ray of ice) without spell hit gear This is a work in progress but I hope somebody smarter than me does a breakdown of weapons and why to use which ones for the game…so it’s just my two cents
Oh wow if you’re gonna do a modded Durge, you should pair him with a Death Domain Shadowheart lol Tbh idk anything about that domain, never messed around with Clerics in DnD
@@Blood_Ronin yup skipped Cazador for the same reason. Hobestly i messed up pre buffs and i didn’t know about her legendary ability. Problem is that i can’t find motivation to try it again and that’s sad because i was so close
This was really fun to stream. New Evil Dark Urge Modded stream will start on the 19th of April.
Did you clear honour mode? If so what did you use?

@@Quantum_Bluntz it's so funny hearing Shadowheart insulting everyone haha

I found a Circle of the Land 6/Lore Bard 6 was excellent support/CC. Had an answer to every combat, plenty of spells and an extra sort rest to boot.

I didn't run into too many bugs, but did have a hilarious Caazador one that made myself and stream think I was soft locked.
Congratulations!
For the 10 sorcerer 2 warlock, how did you level that as you played? First four levels sorcerer then 2 warlock?
I went 8 lvls sorcerer first for 2 feats, then 2 lock, and final 2 back to sorcerer. You can easily multiclass earlier though, if you want the lock things sooner.

Would you be willing to show how you leveled the Sorclock too?

Titanstring is better than hand bows on a swords bard btw that’s the best bow in the game and you get it act 1 or the deadshot
